- South Dakota and skiing are two words that are rarely seen together, but what if we told you we had one of our funniest nights of the season here? Although small, Great Bear Ski Valley plays a massive part in getting people introduced to skiing.

You should visit terry peak in SD-I heard it has biggest vert in the Midwest at around 1000
went here last year and im going again tomorrow pretty hyped
Places like South Dakota are a reminder of what is great about the USA. Nice people. Tons of outdoor activities. JOBs JOBs JOBs. Low cost of Living. Low taxes. Less rules, small government, awesome schools, great college sports, and the list goes on and on. Try Terry Peak also out in the Black Hills - It's pretty awesome.

It'd be cool if you checked out Terry Peak at some point! I'd not sure if it qualifies as "midwest" per se, although my understanding is that the Black Hills are not technically part of the Rockies, and thus the West, so it should be ok.
The midwest is way too underrated for skiing. I absolutely love the midwest. In fact, I am currently in Ohio with Alpine Valley. One of the smaller resorts, but you can still have a good time!
Great video as always, but the story and feel behind Great Bear Ski Valley is exactly what this sport needs. Fifth grade Friday's...other resorts/hills take note!!!

check out terry peak or Mount kato in MN. their our sister hills.. great place to go and spend all day on the hill.
