I think an Ad Campaign with designers and creatives showing how it’s useful to them and how it’s improved their work experience would be a good way to convince more people to adopt this technology. I’m sure it’s extremely technically impressive, but I’d be more likely to buy one if you could show that people can actually use it for something.

no. this Sony doesn’t look like a light field display. It says at the beginning of the video that it’s a head-tracking based device… meaning that it tracks a single user’s head position and can alter the display content based on that to give an illusion of 3D as your head moves around.
It is a 2D display with head / eye tracking.
SolidLight and Looking Glass displays actually produce 3D images visible by more than one viewer at a time at different angles.

Hi, There is one question can you tell me, I like the idea of displaying the products in the store, as it will track the eye of the person who look into it to see the product, what will happen if more that 1 person is lookng in to it or what will person see if they are looking from outside the shop...

Idk why Sony never went deep into the monitor game, esp when they had VAIO back in the day, VAIO needs to make a comeback they made the coolest laptops and portables. Basically every hype device today was just a clone of a vaio device from like 15 years ago~

Can this tracking technology scale to a large room? All those studios working on 3D sets, with multiple IR trackers to know the camera position, when you could just stick two fake eyeballs on top of the lens, and get this system to shift the 3D models accordingly.

If eye positioning data is critical to the image composition, then how would it handle multiple people looking at the same retail display? I cant imagine it can display itself perfectly to multiple people without someone seeing a less than ideal image.

Yeah probably just single user experience, but I imagine the kind of shop that would employ this for retail use might have a sales process that this would make sense, I've seen high end sellers that have by-appointment "concierge" style showrooms and I'm guessing that would be a possible application.
I wouldn't say this application was at the top of the design list, but just another example as a possible use
