@@_CJSAs I'm writing this, ur next vid is going to be playing terraria, so you can do something like where it shows different eras of gaming. 13:10 geometry dash is a pretty good one but while the main level songs are good most of the music people would probably want you to rank is from the player made levels so i would recommend doing a bit of research on popular songs if you do a music ranking on geometry dash, unless someone has already made a tier list of popular songs edit: 15:05 oh look im on there lol
Hey CJS, loved your ranking videos, those were the first videos I saw from your channel :D Since I saw that some viewers request that you listen to the Geometry Dash (GD for short) OST, I kinda want to explain why it'd be impractical. Sorry for the long message. Although I love GD, I don't think that reacting to the game's OST is a good idea. The main game has 23 levels currently, which do have music, but all of the songs are copyrighted by their respective composers, so at most you wouldn't be able to monetize the video. Also from a community perspective, the main game serves as an introduction to the game. The greater focus lies on the user created levels (there's over 100m+ levels by now). The creators can choose any song they want (before it was limited to Newgrounds artists, but now there are collabs with artists like Camellia, t+pazolite and xi...) and then they create a level around that music. That means multiple things. First of all, I think reacting to the main levels' songs, although more doable than looking through the thousands of different songs used by levels in the community, does not really make for good representation of what the game means to the players. Moreover, if you do end up reacting to user level songs, it'd be just like listening to a playlist of the community's most popular songs, since the songs themselves were not composed with GD in mind, and just became popular in the community because they were used in certain levels. Finally, I think the more decisive point is that in GD, we can't really part the levels from the songs, or the songs from the levels. They coexist and complement eachother. The point of the levels is that the creators try to capture the songs' feelings and represent them through the decoration and gameplay. Remove the song, and a GD level doesn't mean a whole lot anymore. What I'm trying to say is, I don't think GD music can be worked with in the same way and with the same tierlist concept as other games. If you still want to explore GD (or more accurately if the viewers want you to do so), I'd opt for reacting to popular user levels (in conjunction with their music). If that's what you go for, it'd be a good idea to change your criteria to be something along the lines of: how good does the level capture the song; what feelings does the level/song pair convey; is the song choice good/appropriate; does the level look good. Even then, the question would be, what levels to choose? Levels are important to us for different reasons, be it for pushing the boundaries of the level editor, pushing the skill ceiling, being part of dramas of important events. You'd probably need a ton of preparations to make sure you choose the type of levels you want to rate and have some "insider info" of players that have been part of the game for long. I'm not sure that much effort is worth it :/ If you like, I can prepare a bunch of levels, but any player is biased and will most likely want to show you the best of the best. Final final thing, if you react to user levels, I just want to warn you that there are some levels that have very flashy effects and require viewer discretion, as they could trigger epilepsy in some people. Again, sorry for the really long message, it's just that I'm pretty passionate about it 😅. Cheers.
Don't apologise about the long comment, I appreciate the effort a lot 😂 Wow this is one of the best comments I've ever had, so thank you! Money and monetisation doesn't really bother to me as I'm not really doing this for the money however it is unfortunate. I initially planned to do 1 video on the main levels and another on the most popular player made levels but I completely get your point about GD music not fully working in the same tierlist concept like other games. Personally I think looking at how good does the level capture the song or what feelings does the level/song pair convey are really interesting however I fear that not many other people would think the same and would still just want to see a tierlist style video. If (probably when) the time comes to ranking GD music I will probably just find the 20 or so most popular levels ever made and focus on them so people can't say I was unfair by not including their favourite track. However saying that, I'm not going to worry about this yet as I've got other things I want to do first on this channel!
You can definitely hut 1 mil subs at some point, i didn't watch many of your videos, but from the few ones i did, i got a level of entertainment many youtubers/streamers fail to deliver these days, so you can do it if you push on.
If you do play calamity, what difficulty will you play? There's two modded difficulties added known as revengeance and death modes(death being the harder of the two) and the calamity difficulties are separate from expert/master but still require expert in order to be activated
Probably just standard Calamity as I don't have much experience playing Terraria altogether, so I probably wouldn't be good enough for an even harder difficulty
@@_CJS eh, i'd at the very least recommend playing it on expert then, however I was thinking that if you managed to complete the box checklist(as in all the bosses and then the boss rush challenge(the boss rush is supposed to be fought post Scal and exo mechs)) on an expert calamity playthrough then maybe you could do a death mode one, if enough people want that after seeing your expert mode playthrough, in my opinion death mode is just a little/slightly bit harder than revengeance mode

So I looked at your last Terraria video and saw that you replied to me, so now imma explain! But if a disclaimer, I’m not a know-it-all when it comes to Calamity and may get a few details wrong, but I will try to give context to the best of my ability. Seahorse Scrutiny is the scrapped theme for a Miniboss, The Cnidrion. Before being finished, it was decided that the Cnidrion did not meet the requirements the devs wanted for a miniboss, so they decided to add it as a regular enemy instead. So, DM Dokuro decided to put it at the beginning of “Universal Collapse” as a joke instead. However, in and upcoming update to Calamity, Cnidrion is being upgraded back into a miniboss, so who knows? Maybe the theme can finally become official! Probably not, though, as DM Dokuro completely left all Terraria communities a while back due to stress from fan expectations, so it is more likely taht “Seahorse Scrutiny” will stay as a meme-esqe example of lost media than a new track… Also, for my other points, I cant wait to see you react to the Final Boss of Calamity when it comes out! Well… that is the boss of the main story, not the post game. After the final boss, there will allegedly be two more POST GAME Superbosses! Also, no worries on mispronouncing “Coagulate,” it is definitely a tricky word that has even fluent English speakers doing a double take!
Also also the base game Terraria full OST isn’t even done, so many more tracks are being added in the “final” update! Also also also, if you play Terraria, go DEEP underground (cavern layer) and place 101 torches for an Easter egg!
Thank you mate for explaining, I'm so invested in the Seahorse Scrutiny lore now! It's actually a little sad knowing it will probably not ever become official. Post game Calamity Superbosses is crazy, I have no idea how the OST can be improved at all but we will see, I can't wait! Also does this easter egg work in Calamity? If so I will try it when I play it on the channel
You should definitely listen to geometry dash. The main levels are cool, but, there are some bangers that aren't like the main ones. Here are some popular geometry dash songs: at the speed of light, golden haze, the flawless wings of yatagarasu, windfall, sonic blaster, dimension, sphere, nine circles, beep beep, bike
Bro if you mean the original levels I understand but if you include popular user levels it'd be absolutely impossible to rank them, first because the songs are not from or for geometry dash in 99.9% of cases and also because there's an indefinite amount of songs to rank lol. he isn't going to look through the 100m+ levels lol. If you mean the main levels though i guess that's fine? But imo it kinda undermines what the game represents for the community. Of course main levels are a core part of the game, but most players in the community care more about user levels.

Some video game OSTs I recommend are the binding of Isaac (there are 2 versions, flash and rebirth, which also has some DLCs, both with really good OST), and Elden ring. The binding of Isaac ost is kind of similar to terraria/calamity, some of the songs feel pretty intense and have a really good vibe, while the major boss music tracks sometimes carry motifs from other tracks. Elden ring is also very intense but it’s a different style, it feels more like an orchestra rather than electronic. If you have time, you should play Elden ring as well. It is a pretty good game

Yeah I do read all the comments, I’m just a little slow at replying to them sometimes 😂
I'm seeing other people commenting other game OSTs to do, and I'm just going to put down Undertale and Stardew Valley.
Looks like you will have to play calamity mod to the VIEWERS DESPONDENT DEMAND (stained brutal calamity)
Yeah the votes went CRAZY!
I have one question, do you plan doing a livestream soon?
Probably not soon as I feel like I would need a bigger audience for that however, I would love to do that in the future!
@@_CJS Your videos are great man, you'll definitely become big one day.
Rank undertale ost (if you want) it’s actually really, really good
Greetings from Germany! What part did you visit during your trip?
I've been the Germany quite a few times to travel through into Austria, however I have stayed overnight in a town near Munich. Berlin is high up on my bucket list and I would love to explore Germany more soon!
@@_CJS great! Im from Regensburg in bavaria 😄👍
When you do play calamity mod, i think you should play in expert revengence difficulty. its the intended difficulty. also other things: there is a page on the calamity wiki called "guide:mod_progression", you should have some qol mods
Thanks for the suggestion however, I won't be adding any mods to start off with so I can get as real of an experience as possible!
@@_CJS i can understand, but i do suggest "boss checklist" because calamity doesnt tell you how to progress ingame
You should listen to all of the main level osts for geometry dash
(4:10) Realest words ive ever heard

Hello. How do you record things on X-Box and put it onto my phone. If you don't know it's fine
2 options, either download it from the xbox app on your phone or transfer the xbox clips onto a USB stick, download them onto a PC or laptop and then send it to an email that you have on your phone
@@_CJS I don't have a PC so I'll do the fist one.
