They do exist in other countries too..... from memory I think there are some in Russia and maybe Canada, but I’m not really sure. We also have one of only 2 Everglades in the world, on the Sunshine Coast, north of Brisbane in Queensland. The other better known Everglades are in the southern tip of Florida, USA.
I live an ocean away from my family and this got to me. As blessed as I am here and I've made a family here I still miss where I was born. Nothing like the first time you get on the plane back to where your home is now and you realize your entire life is different and home isn't home anymore

I'll never forget walking through Heathrow to go home and seeing the big red tails. That was emotional enough, but it was when the cabin crew got on the p.a. to welcome us aboard and she had a strong Aussie accent. That, finished me. MInd you, on the flight to the UK, they played The Man From Snowy River. Don't make leaving my country hard Qantas!! Good on you girls. 8-)

I can remember after travelling overseas for over 12mths and they played this song when we were coming into Sydney to land and I’m not usually a big crier but I cried like a baby.. and had the song stuck in my head when I ran into my mums arms..
