Traditional foods preparation though take quite a longer time, but they are the healthiest. I think their health benefits worth the time invested in their preparations. Thanks for promoting local delicacies in your own way Tatiana.
Thank you Tatiana. I love alele! This is an amazing business grandma has kept alive, the children and grandchildren should take it to the next level.👍🏿
Wow! Dats my favorite street food😊 we call i Olele in The Gambia 🇬🇲 find it really interesting dat west african countries have alot in common n similar ways of cooking different recipes ❤ one africa 🌍 one people 🫶 love u Tati❤
WE HAVE THE SAME LEAVES IN SOUTH EAST ASIA TOO, IDK WHICH PART OF SEA YOU CAME FROM BUT HERE IN MALAYSIA WE HAVE IT. WE USUALLY WRAPPED FERMENTED RICE IN IT.
I ❤❤❤ moi moi and learned how to make it vegan, and wrapped it in softened collard greens to make the whole thing edible. Thanks for sharing! You have such a welcoming personality. Viewing from the US.
There’s an easier way to take of the skin. Put in a blender n add water a little above it n use the pulse button severally n in less than 5min. The skin goes off, transfer it in a bowl n wash. Soak for 10-20mins to absorb water(you can skip it) then blend with your veggies:spices or crayfish
I’m Ewe so I can understand them…Togolese are our cousins…. 😋What a beautiful dish, made by lovely people…😋As Grandma said, we need to stop the plastic food wrapping practice in our Afrikan countries… Kenya had done it, Nigeria has introduced reusable containers for food venders…I’ve seen it gradually catching on in Ghana. We can go the natural Green way with biodegradable food wrappers like Grandma is doing. She’s wise…🤗
My Tati, rich aunty, you are doing amazing. I love Moi Moi b there are alot of ways to prepare it. I’ve never seen it prepared with those mixed spices and garri. Would love to try it
In Ivory Coast we call the leaves “attieke leaves” 😂😂😂. I don’t know the real name or the tree it comes from. I would love to know though. It gives soooo much flavour to the food. Thank you for another delicious video Tati ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Ghanaians and Togolese are one people. my grandmother is a Togolese although l grew uo jn Ghana. Half of my family is in Togo. l speak the Ewe language. Long live Ghana and Togo and we will forever remain related.
Taty! Your Togo content is fire💥💥💥! We are very similar in our food preparation and the respect we afford to the elderly. Great to see. You have done great justice to Lome and Togo. Impressive work and content. And the food looks delicious🍽 Also you were received very well by grandma and your host was most gracious. Glad to see you travel beyond Sunyani and Ghana to bring great content to your followers and audience. One thing you do that is great, is allowing those featured to tell their story in their own words. And because you are so personable, the connection to people is strong and comes across as a huge positive in your videos. That is a skill that most RUclipsrs do not do that well at. And you always make me laugh when you sprinkle Twi in your videos despite whereever you are🙂. A true Ashanti girl! Keep up the good work and we are here for all the content!
In Sierra Leone we call it Olele, and we use the leaf as well when cooking it. It one of my favourite as well, it is well known food in Sierra Leone. I like eating it with bread though, it the same process we use while making it.
its the rule grandma makes it the best i remember my grandmas bolognese sauce and idk why , it always tasted better than mine and my moms. she didnt use different spices, no secret techniques , no nothing.
You said you were in Northern Togo Which town are you in? I was surprised they were speaking Erveh (Ewe). I have not watched to the end yet....maybe I should wait.😊
Togolese are also Ervehwo… we are their Ghanaian cousins…Volta Region was called Western Togoland, before Nkrumah wisely took it from the Germans and British, in order to take possession of the Volta River to further our Hydroelectric power prospects, Fishery and Agricultural development… That’s why the largest part of the Volta is secured in Ghana… I’m a Ghanaian Erveh and I have relatives in Togo aka Lo-a-m3 as we call Lome in Ghana’s Eweland. Hope my comment helped you…👋🏾🙂 ( Written by a female Ghanaian #CulturePreservationist…)

Why are you surprised? Aren't existing country borders artificial borders created by the colonizers?
The Leaf 🍃 is the BEST and Healthiest. I love 😍 Alele. Smaller portions can be done using a Blender. God bless You all Richly

I didn't have those leaves in my place so I replaced them with banana leaves and they tasted great. I'm from Southeast Asia btw.

Foods that take a long time to prepare are usually the best. I have never peeled beans. That sounds very time-consuming.
