I actually adore mid century homes. I love all the wood tones and funky colors and unique furniture style…this is probably one of my fave builds I’ve watched recently! You’ve inspired me to go renovate base game homes…maybe I’ll create some new families to fill them with to make my own game play more interesting.
I adore these renovations and yess paintings and rugs we have so little of in basegame, its either super posh or "cheap" ikea furniture, and no in-betweens without DLC imo and who has multiple copies of the SAME painting in 1 house? we should be able to furnish houses without having to repeat objects imo
Yeah the toilet paper half up the wall was a big problem with a lot of stock base game builds, especially in Oasis Springs. I think it might have to do with Sims 4 camera? Because originally, there was no quarter tile or alt placement and the sims 4 camera didn’t free rotate the way sims 3 did, so by default, things would clip really high in small rooms, because the camera was “outside” the room.
pleaseeee build a bigger castle using the castle kit! for halloween especially, would love to see a fantastical castle for a dark and fey-like sorceress, y’know, L. Faba! 💕 would be interesting to see how you incorporate her whimsical gothic black/white/pink/purple aesthetic, her status as a Sage, etc.
Love the transformation - I too get the woes of lack of paintings or art - I find myself in the gallery constantly grabbing others created content for paintings.

I did this lot for a renovation challenge on Twitch. It had rules. So it had to be a black and white reno. We couldn't change the outside structure. We could replace windows but they had to be in the same place. Color and landscaping could be changed. We could change the lay out on the inside. I won third place.

I combine different plants and objects to make "new" planters all the time and it satisfies my desire for new plants. 😊

would you consider limited-pack renovations of non-basegame houses? Like- basegame + whichever pack that world came from, maybe?

You can always renovate it yourself, how you would like it done 😊. This is how Gryphi wanted to renovate it though.
