      What he means: Rai should have seen him leave and trying to reenter the track, expect him to enter and go wide on the track. If he goes for a wide entry into the last corner of the chicane, like they do on the start of a qually lap, he would have done a cutback on max. Resulting in him overtaking max before the pit lane entry.
      Instead Rai went around the outside, where max would also come accross in the way he reentered. He went for the part of the track where he would meet max.
      Max has a point, but than again he did reenter in quite a stupid and clumpsy way. He should have just gone straight, aldo he would probably still get a penalty for that, because the fia likes to give out penalties to everyone that is not challenging for the title.

    For those delusional individuals who think Max is correct regarding the incident between him and Raikkonen:
    Verstappen made a mistake, locked up and all 4 of his tyres went outside of the track limits.
    Verstappen then proceeded to re-join the track, crashing into the side of Raikkonen and forcing him off the track.
    According to FIA Sporting Regulations 27.3: _Should a car leave the track the driver may re-join, however, this may only be done when it is safe to do so and without gaining any lasting advantage._
    It's quite simple, Raikkonen does not need to wait for Verstappen, Verstappen needs to wait for Raikkonen.

    • @jumpstartup
      @jumpstartup 5 лет назад +95

      Agreed.. In fact after Vettel spun in the spoon.. He waited to join back when it was safe.. I think he lost 2 positions more because of that.. I guess if MAX had his way all the drivers should retire their cars and "wait" for him!!

      he was already on the track again before the shunt with Raikkonen .. At least he did an effort to make that corner. The next time he should just go straight to the grass and cut the corner. Stewards are very lenient in the first lap and his tyres did lock up so he would have gotten away with it! Bottas locked up at the same spot later in the race when Verstappen was behind him and got no penalty ..

    • @PowerSlaveAlfons
      @PowerSlaveAlfons 5 лет назад +5

      Why does everybody get that wrong? When Verstappen says "he should have waited," all he's saying is that Kimi should have let him slide to the outside and went around him on the other side. If Kimi "waited" there, Kimi would have got the position. I'm not saying I agree with what Max said there 100%, but I do think that the penalty is a bit undeserved, because he was turned hard left while reentering, but overestimated the grip on his front.

Remember Hungary last year? he was beaten at the corner by Dan and he hit Dan out cold and out of the race! Hopefully that crappy Honda engine will keep this douchebag all the way back of the grid next year where he can crash on the backmarkers instead!

      You are one of those people that would let himself pass by any other driver? Funny that people like Verstappen, Alonso and Hamilton are seen as douche bags by Vettel fans, while Vettel does the exact same thing. But OK, lets make the sport an overtake fest by inserting gutless drivers like Bottas all over the place. Regards, an Alonso fan.

      @@erikkz But if you look closely Vettel had space and had a clean turn (meaning he didn't understeer as Max claimed), he even rode the curb which means that he was on the inside, and had not Max turned in like that Vettel's car would be ahead on the exit. I agree it was a divebomb, for sure, but that's racing, you see the opportunity, you go for it. Daniel goes for divebombs frequently, yet he goes cleanly through, you know why? Because he doesn't overtake Max. The point is that Max is overly aggresive in both defense and in attacking, he is talented however he needs to have more control over his actions. Not that this incident solely harmed Vettels chances of WDC, he already made a lot of mistakes this year including Ferrari's own tactical mishaps.

      It's not over yet. And even when it is, then it will still be for honor and race wins. Vettel would want to stay ahead of Bottas.

    What a shame that we won't here Alonso next year. At least we will have some funny team radios from Leclerc :D

    It isn't over until it's over.
    No one can tell whether the merc suddenly dnfs for some reason over the next few races.
    It's hyper unrealistic, but not impossible.

      Well Hamilton might just break his leg riding his bike, and then Vettel wins the World Championship. But it's not going to happen.

      Prins van Oranje
      Well even in that case four 2nd places would not be enough for Vettel and Red Bull as well as Bottas would still be important competitors.

      Exactly, at this point an injury or other RL problem for hamilton is more likely than 4 DNF or whatever but even then it's gonna be a challenge with bottas, ricciardo and verstappen around to get 4 2nd places.

    Don't see that fact on Magnussen's Wikipedia page, Leclerc should add it, He as a solid proof ;)
