That's not my issue but I decided to watch it just to see your explanation as I have done it before.. I really like the way you ended that because anyone with enough common sense should be able to put it back together or figure it out after that. Your a good teacher and obviously have good skills.
So did your P0348 code clear once you installed the new crankshaft sensor? I am having the P0348 code come up after installing new timing chain and tensioners, everything is timed right, truck starts, I changed out all the 5 CPS's and it still comes up, so I am wondering if it is crankshaft related?
Have a P0358 code and trac light on. Wouldn't start. Replaced Crankshaft Position Sensor that I bought on Amazon because it was cheap and now it starts and running good but can't clear the code. Bought another Sensor from Autozone and tried it and it wouldn't start. Put the Amazon one back in and it runs but still can't clear code. Well I can clear it but comes right back. Do you think the Amazon Sensor could be bad even though it runs ok but still has the P0358 code? Thinking of buying one from O'Reilly. 😅
TRANSMISSION REBUILT AT 120K LOST 1ST GEAR STARTED OUT ON SECOND GEAR. I HAD JUST CHANGED THE FLUID A COUPLE MONTHS PRIOR. OLD FLUID WAS NOT DIRTY. TRANS MAN SAID YOU NEED TO KEEP THE FLUID CLEAN. CHANGE EVERY 30K FOR VALVE BODY SAKE. HOPE THAT HELPS.
This video is the crankshaft. That sensor is on the right (passenger side) on the motor. You have multiple camshaft sensors but only one crankshaft. I never had to mess with the camshaft sensors.
@@dico_5.0 it had no codes. Issue is the truck will suddenly shut off while idle. So a mechanic suggested it MAY be the CKP. Now a few years ago I did see this code that’s related to this sensor so I figured the mechanic has a good idea. So I replaced it using a new sensor from Toyota. It now doesn’t turn ON. Does the computer need to learn this new sensor?

I sure hope this will solve my issue. Love that it is easy to get at. Cheapest place to start. Thanks for the vid!
Thank you, Sir! Not looking forward to crawling under there but at least it's fairly easy to get to.
FYI This is the same for the 2017 5.7L just incase anyone is wondering
Thanks for the video. I have the same crankshaft code and also all four cam shaft banks. What did you do for your camshaft codes?
Did not have any...just crankshaft
Thanks, I thought in the beginning of video you mentioned some secondary camshaft codes. I am hoping crankshaft sensor takes care of the others too
Found it thank u

I ended up putting the original back in. No problems
Did you figure your issue out? Curious because a friend is having the same issue right now

@@mikeceausu7045 what brands are they?
Standard and Wells are good maybe Bosch
Also check Rock Auto
Not sure what brands they are but the 100 dollar one from O'Reilly's worked. @@dico_5.0
@@dico_5.0thanks for the quick response. Bought the one from O'Reilly's and everything is good now. Thanks
Was that sensor on B circuit Bank 1???
Just curious why did u drop Trans in the past. What problems did u have.

Do I need to remove the starter to get to the crankshaft sensor location?
No.....its on the other side
I need to identify Camshaft Sensor B on bank 2.

Is there any indicating noises the motor will make?
Crank no start
This will also cause the truck to turn off while driving.
Hi. I replaced this sensor on my truck but now it doesn’t turn ON. Any ideas why?
What's your codes?

@Raul Martinez all other electronics are good...battery etc? Fuel pump...all that???

What was your issue... im getting p0018
it was the crankshaft position sensor. put the old one back and it started up!
Did it work after?
Long story. But after installing that one. It turned out I didn't need it and put the original back in. No problem since.
@@dico_5.0 so of the old sensor worked what was the problem?
@@joaquincortada1483 yes put old one back it worked
So my says sensor B was this sensor B??
I never heard the crankshaft position sensor called B. You sure it's not the oxygen sensor? What code are you getting?
Mine says sensor A, what happened to yours Tactical?
Do u have to take starter out
No
Starter on other side
What’s the part number?
That one was from AutoZone SU10463
P0390 bank 2 ? Help
Did you look up PO390? IT IS CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR EXHAUST CAMSHAFT
You have multiple CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSORS have to find which ones are for exhaust
this is a pain to get off on the 4wd trucks
Literally can’t tell where it’s at
Same
its right by the oil pan
Mine is 0365
