Buying of just any ETFs is easy, but buying the right one without a time-tested strategy is incredibly hard. Hence which is best to buy now or put on a watchlist? I’ve been trying to grow my portfolio of $260K for sometime now, my major challenge is not knowing the best entry and exit strategies.
Just because there are opportunities in the market doesn’t mean you should go in blindly. To understand the potential factors that contribute to your financial growth, I'll advise you to seek the help of a professional.
The best course of action if you lack market knowledge is to ask a consultant for guidance or assistance. Speaking with a consultant helped me stay afloat in the market and grow my portfolio to about 65% since 2023 January. I believe that is the most effective way to enter the business at the moment.
Sharon Ann Meny, just check her out. It's better to hire a skilled financial planner especially if you're not one yourself. I hired one after my retirement pension took a hit in 2021 April due to the crash.
if the idea is to build an income stream to use as complement for retirement, or at any given point if needed, then building a dividend growth portfolio always buying adding to it could be a good and peaceful path. On the long run consistency and perseverance could guaranty the desired income stream goal with little worries
the idea is to Look for stocks that have paid steady, increasing dividends for years (or decades), and have not cut their dividends even during recessions.
a lot of people downplay the significance of advisors until their own feelings consume them. I sought for licensed consultants a few summers ago, and I located someone with the greatest qualifications, because I needed a major boost to keep my firm going after my drawn-out divorce. She helped me raise my reserve from $275k to $850k ($850k considering inflation).

I’m seeking to invest a good amount across various markets but don't know which is safe at this point of uncertainty, I was advised to diversify between stocks and bonds, since they can help hedge against inflation, or am I better off holding cash?
With the help of the same investment advisor, I diversified my 62K portfolio across many markets and in a matter of months, I was able to produce over 356K in net profit from high dividend yield equities, bonds, and exchange-traded funds (ETFs).
This is really impressive, hope you don't mind if I ask you to recommend this particular professional you use their service? I have quite a lots of difficulty sorting myself out in this downtime.
AI stocks will dominate 2024. Why I prefer NVIDIA is that they are better placed to maintain long term growth potential, and provide a platform for other AI companies. I know someone who has made more than 200% from NVIDIA. I'll also take these other recommendations you made.
I think the next big thing will be A.I. For enduring growth akin to META, it's vital to avoid impulsive decisions driven by short-term fluctuations. Prioritize patience and a long-term perspective consider financial advisory for informed buying and selling decisions.
Facing a similar situation, I sought advice from an invęstment advisęr. Through portfolio restructuring and diversification with good ETFs, S&P 500 and growth stocks, I've turned my portfolio around from $200k to over $800k in a few years.
Your invt-adviser must be really good, I hope it's okay to inquire if you're still collaborating with the same invt-adviser and how I can get in touch with them?

My portfolio doesn’t just cater to dividend stocks. I hold $VFIAX (S&P 500 index fund) in my Roth IRA and $VTI (Total Stock Market ETF) in my taxable brokerage account. Two of my largest holdings. The individual dividend stock positions all complement the index holdings.
If you lack market knowledge, your best bet is to seek advice or support from a consultant or investing coach. Contacting a consultant may sound simple, but it's how I've managed to stay afloat in the market and increase my portfolio to roughly 60% early this year. It is, in my opinion, the best way to get started in the industry right now.
How can I participate in this? I sincerely aspire to establish a secure financlal future and am eager to participate. Who is the driving force behind your success?

If I had $360k I would invest $100k in tech & $260k into dividend stock with a proven track record to grow with capital appreciation & dividend increase year over year
The current market might give opportunities to maximize profit within a short term, but in order to execute such strategy , you must be a skilled practitioner
The best market strategy is to work with a credible investing coach. Since a while ago, I've been in touch with a coach, mostly because I lack the depth of understanding and mental toughness to deal with the ongoing market conditions. You lack the information necessary to succeed in a competitive market, not because you're doing anything wrong, but rather because of your lack of experience.

Dividends are what got me into investing in the stock market. The thing to me is, if you invest and have other income outside of dividends then you will be able to live off dividends without selling. Which means you can pass that on to your kids which will give them a leg up in life. Have over $600K in my portfolio as I bought a lot of dividend stocks before, I'm buying more now, and I will buy more when it drops further.
As a new investor it's always great to hear from a person who has gone through all the difficult times and come ahead of it. It's unnerving to see your portfolio go from green to red but as mentioned if you have invested in quality names just have to keep adding to them and stay the course
I see any market condition as an opportunity. So far I've made north of $260k in raw profits from just Q3 of 2022 under the guidance of my Financial-Advisor . i’m I selling? Absolutely not. I started investing in dividends with my taxable account. I used the buy and hold strategy in my Roth, adding some Berkshire B stock, SCHD, and an S&P 500 and total market exchange-traded fund.
When I started investing last year, I avoided significant mistakes. I've focused on investing modest sums in stable businesses for the long term. If stocks perform well, I hold onto them; otherwise, I reinvest losses into profits. Recently, I made $9.5k from a $4k investment in NVIDIA.

After a full year of travel expenses, I still have ~$1.3M in my accounts. I used my taxable brokerage account to pay for these expenses. This year, I'm driving uber to keep busy and do my next travel planning and then off to Central/South America at the end of April for a year of travel again. I know that this is the only time and opportunity I'm going to have to do this. At 65 who knows what shape I'll be in. I think we get too caught up in the living poor in the old age argument. When all statistics show that in old age your expenses always go down except maybe healthcare. FI-RE and one year of travel has given me so much joy and opened my eyes to things I never imagined possible. God Bless Heidi
Making an investment might appear simple, but identifying the best stock without a tried-and-true strategy might be difficult. I aim for sky high 15-25% dividend yields ..the higher the yield, the more work...its not a buy and hold portfolio but I basically trade the ranges 1 to 3 or 3 to 6 months at a time. I've been doing relatively well trading mortgage reits.. aside from raising rates they typically go up when the markets up and down when the market goes down.. ARR from 4.80s to 6-6.40/share with an 18% monthly dividend of 0.08/share, SMHB from the 4.50-6.50 to 8 range with a 20% APY variable monthly coupon from 0.06/share to 0.18/share, MVRL 1.5× leveraged mortgage reit etn from the 17 range to the 20s or 30s(doubt it will ever get back to the 40s) with a 20%APY ,HDLB with over 11%APY variable monthly coupon,PSEC and EARN from 5.50-6.50 to 7-8ish/share pays 0.06/share, DX from the 11.80s to 12-13/share pays 0.13/share, monthly, CHMI with 20.5% quarterly dividend, SVOL with a 17-18% yield from 20 to 24/share pays 0.32/share monthly, TSLY(synthetic covered call option strategy on Tesla)yields 66% pays 0.88-0.98/share monthly 100k in TSLY produces 5k to 7k a month...plus I'd throw in some SPY on dips..NML is a cef that gives you exposure to MLPs without the hassle of K-1/K-3 taxes, raised its dividend over 100% this year, MLPR is an etn that pays 10% quarterly also tracks MLPs, GLAD and GAIN,ORCC,ARCC=blue chip bdcs,PTY from 11.88/12 range to 13-14/share range is a reliable cef, OPP from the 8 to 9+/share range pays .1020/share, RIV from the upper 10/11 to 12-14 range pays .1275/share. the emerging market bond cefs in my opinion are good 1 to 3 or 3 to 6 month holds with yields between 15 and 17% EDF,EDI TEI,CHW,FCO..from Oct to Jan I made 15 to 59% on the emerging market bond funds..gotta track the prices to get in at a good level..not permanent long term holds,QYLD,XYLD,RYLD. GLO and GLQ are leveraged cefs that have been annihilated into penny stocks..down 50% pay 10% monthly,CLM has a special dividend reinvestment program you typically have to call your broker to sign up for..the distribution is reinvested at the nav, which is usually 10-20% less than market price,as you keep accumulating shares dripped at nav, the arbitrage of the premium and nav makes it possible to make 15-20% entering and exiting at the same or lower price..the cefs trade in predictable ranges, for example first time I bought PTY was at 11.88, sold it at 14. I bought it back around 12-12.20...trading cefs gives you opportunity for growth and maximum income. Not financial advice. I keep fluctuating between 10 and 18% away from my all time high. If I wasn't living off my dividends I'd only be 12% from my high. I wouldve been better off selling in Jan and buying back during March crash but stayed in for the income. I'll never do that again. From down 30% in Oct to down 10% in Jan to down 19% in March back up to down 15%,excluding dividend/distribution withdrawals. It's been quite a rollercoaster. With 750k you'd do well in a simple 5% CD or there's always the option of the dividend growth strategy, investing in companies with a history of growing their dividends with small yields, if you can stomach the volatility and read charts in my opinion, the aggressive yield chasing strategy works as long as you buy low and sell high and buy back lower. I've managed to keep the portfolio value usually about 15% from its all time high while withdrawing 11% a year. Hopefully, the bull market will be back soon. Everything is easier in a bull market regardless of how high the yield.
@obodoaghahenry9297 when I was down 30% in October I sold out of everything and bought microcaps. Within 24 days,I recuperated 14%, managed to never go above 20% down again..in January my portfolio grew 12%. From Oct 20 to Jan 20 I managed to recuperate 20 out of 30% but like an idiot I stayed in-gave back all 12% and then rallied 7%. I love dividends but I'm ready for a rebound. Most financial advisors say it takes 5 years to recover from a 30% loss..4 months and 400 pages of trading history and I managed to recuperate almost everything before dumping again. It's frustrating.

With all of the current events, what is the best approach to profit from the market come 2024? I'm still debating diversifying my $700k stock portfolio to obtain some profits while minimizing risk.
First of all you need to understand where and how to allocate funds to hedge against any possible downturns and still make profits also, if you can't navigate the market you should consult with an expert advisor
A Bank crash/crash in the stock or real estate markets has less of an immediate impact on people's standard of living than inflation or currency devaluation. That the market is so negative at the moment shouldn't be shocking. If we are to survive in this economy, we need assistance right away. The ETF and stock markets are still quite volatile, just like the property market. Now all that's left of my $370K portfolio is ruins.
Many people are still getting fantastic returns on their investments during this time. Simply maintain a strong sense of reality or ask for professional assistance.
The effects of the U.S. dollar's increase or fall on investments, in my opinion, are complex, but it has never been simpler to learn how to build your money than it is right now, when you may discover and experience a genuinely broad market passively by working with a successful Financial Consultant. Under her tutelage, I diversified my $400K portfolio across multiple markets and have been able to generate over $900k in net profit across high dividend yield stocks, ETF and bonds in few months.
I've shuffled through investment consultants and yes, they can be positively impactful to an individual's portfolio, but do your due diligence to find a coach with grit. Most newbies either do not understand the power of compound interest, or are just impatient. For the average Joe, however, I think it is just best to invest in the S&P 500, and just wait, which is reliable, albeit extremely long-- lots of years. Given the re-inverting yield curve and increased market volatility, I'm reevaluating my portfolios, and the outlook is concerning. How should I reallocate funds within my $1M portfolio to earn income in 2024?
The inversion implies anticipated lower future growth, potentially resulting in decreased lending and investment. Hence, finding the appropriate asset allocation and collaborating with an advisor experienced in bear markets is imperative.
Accurate asset allocation is crucial, and some individuals use hedging strategies or allocate part of their portfolio to defensive assets for market downturns. I like investing in close-end funds that pay monthly dividends. The trick is to hold long term and reinvest the monthly dividends plus buy more shares on a monthly basis or whenever you can afford to. This can be easily done because close-end funds are bought and sold on the stock market just like regular stock. That’d be enough to create a portfolio that would pay you between $50k to $70k in dividend income

Wow, what an interesting Video, you covered some great dividend picks. I just liked and subscribed your channel, I loved the way you explained the dividend yield , formula and calculations. Cheers
With high dividend ETFs, it's important to look at the weekly chart with an underscore prefix ie _SDIV to show actual historical prices rather than adjusted prices (which factor in the dividend). This way you can see if you pay for the high dividend partly with depreciation of asset value - as you mention in the video.
Excellent explanation. Thanks! It would be nice to see a video on how to put together a dividend portfolio, eg. # stocks, diversification, and what to expect as an income. Thanks.

In the past month, my "unexciting" index funds provided me with over $6,000 in dividends, giving me the option to spend without selling shares. Currently, I've opted to reinvest the dividends to acquire additional index funds for future growth.

I am currently invested in three of these and have been invested in a fourth. SDIV 199.16 shares DIV 100 shares KBWD 200 shares And had 50.37 shares of SPHD but sold out of that position to reinvest in one of the others. One other point to make is SDIV and DIV both pay out at the same time. While KBWD pays out two weeks later. That means each time I make my transfer on payday there is a dividend to add to the deposit for investing. All of my dividends are directed at whatever I am building at the time. My next targets are going to be REITs. I am trying to make a ladder of investments.
Thanks a lot. I just discover something that I should know since 2017 hahaha. What about QYLD? I tried to compare it with your stock and it seems an amazing monthly dividend as well. Did I miss something in all of those calculations? Again thank you very much for your time.
I only recently got into QYLD, say 3 weeks ago. The difference is that Q is a "covered call" eft...tough to explain, but can find a youtube vid on it...it's a bit more risky...but, ya;....great yield...
I used to work on wall Street, invest on my own now. While I damn sure disagree with your ranking, I respect your opinions and since I don't have much time to research I appreciate your opening my perspective to some ETFs I have no time to find on my own. You've earned my subscribe
Some tips Put your high dividend stocks, MF, bonds, and ETF into your non-taxable account like a Roth or your self-directed IRA If you want more of the same, reinvest your dividends (DRIP) and let compounding do its magic If you’re close to retirement or in retirement, these dividend plays are a better choice than say a growth stock or MF/ETF
Subscribed! Very succinct and helpful! I might suggest 2 things: 1. That you highlight that total return includes the dividend reinvested. So low total return lower than the yield is losing money on a capital appreciation view. 2. Hard to measure in etfs but dividend growth history is huge! Lower initial yields in companies with strong increasing history can catch up to the higher and more stagnant yielding companies which also help appreciation when increases get announced! Many etfs focus on dividend growth which is the “secret sauce” to a complete dividend strategy!! Good dividend growth history suggests a company has a thriving well run business and can sustain higher dividends for many years.
I wished I had been this smart when I was younger 😅 but I've been working on paying off my debt and saving money. Thanks for the awesomecontent. You have a new subscriber. 🙂
Well you’ll be exposed more to the performance of those stocks, which can be good or bad. But you’d want to consider expense ratios to justify doing it. Like if you’re paying .2 to one etf to hold apple but then .6 to another etf that holds apple, it can become a cost ineffective way to be invested in that particular stock. But if you have two etfs for two different purposes that happen to share stocks, it isnt too big of a deal unless you’re over concentrated at a high cost
SCHD is definitely fantastic, and I'm going to include it in my next non-monthly dividend ETF video. I didn't include it in this one because I wanted to focus on monthly dividend ETFs
thats what im saying, i have SCHD, these etfs he mentions are trending down in the last 5years, yes the yield isnt super high but wouldnt you lose money when the share price has been trending down for all these etfs in the video
*Impressive! your potentials have always been amazing* I'm fascinated by investing, and having about *$250K* sitting around doing nothing in the bank, I'm ready to invest. What sector do you recommend getting into?

I’m seeking to invest a good amount across various markets but don't know which is safe at this point of uncertainty, I was advised to diversify between stocks and bonds, since they can help hedge against inflation, or am I better off holding cash?

If you lack market knowledge, your best bet is to seek advice or support from a consultant or investing coach. Since a while ago, I've been in touch with a coach, mostly because I lack the depth of understanding and mental toughness to deal with the ongoing market conditions.

A Bank crash/crash in the stock or real estate markets has less of an immediate impact on people's standard of living than inflation or currency devaluation.
Expert guidance is vital for achieving this. This approach has helped me stay financially secure for over five years, yielding nearly $1 million in returns on investments.

Just because there are opportunities in the market doesn’t mean you should go in blindly. To understand the potential factors that contribute to your financial growth, I'll advise you to seek the help of a professional
I completely agree; I am 60 years old, recently retired, and have approximately $1,250,000 in external retirement funds. I am debt free and have very little money in retirement funds compared to the total value of my portfolio over the past three years. To be honest, having a portfolio-advisor for investing is genius!
As a new investor it's always great to hear from a person who has gone through all the difficult times and come ahead of it. What are some strategies i can employ to be successful?

Great moves my friend! I’m not big on dividend investing as my stock investing is mostly long term index/ETF and last year I made about $60k in appreciation so that’s exciting!
Honestly Joshua, the moment I saw this video I felt like I discovered a gold mine. That's some bloody good research you've done finding such high paying companies, this is a huge help, thanks.

Nobody can become financially successful overnight. They put in background work but we tend to see the finished part. Fear is a dangerous component, hindering us from taking bold steps we need in other to reach our goals. you have to contend with inflation, recession, decisions from the Feds and all. I was able to increase my portfolio by $289k in months. You have to seek for help in the right places.
I think it's not always about fear, Sometimes realistic factors discourage people from reaching their goals in life. For instance, I've tried investing in the stock market several times but always got discouraged by fluctuations of stock value
This is the problem! Most times people with little or no knowledge of the stock market try investing by themselves. It once happened to me, then I learned my lesson and contacted a US-based finance consultant by name Helene Claire Johnson and everything changed. In in the first quarter of this year i made $370k and counting.
Impressive, that sounds good but how do I reach out to helene ?

Great Picks Bro!! I own SPHD and SDIV myself. Smooth Video!! I will Definitely be coming back to check you out!!
Hey thanks so much Ty!
With high dividend ETFs, it's important to look at the weekly chart with an underscore prefix ie _SDIV to show actual historical prices rather than adjusted prices (which factor in the dividend). This way you can see if you pay for the high dividend partly with depreciation of asset value - as you mention in the video.
That's a really excellent point Peter

Please do a video on dividend versus non dividend ETF
hi Joshua, I would like to ask if the dividend return is included in the annualized return you mentioned. Thanks for your nice video!
long-term investors find a promising entry into 2023. Noteworthy ETFs include: $VOO for S&P 500, $VTI for total US market, $QQQ for tech growth, and $SCHD for growth with dividends. Calculating my annual dividends, I'm thankful for $167k-attributing it to discipline and focus.
In the past month, my "unexciting" index funds provided me with over $6,000 in dividends, giving me the option to spend without selling shares. Currently, I've opted to reinvest the dividends to acquire additional index funds for future growth.
Please can you leave the info of your investment advisor here? I’m in dire need for one.

Thanks Joshua. Good breakdown and research for these ETFs.
Is the expense ratio something you have to pay out of pocket? For example if I own a share on Robinhood or webull?
That was very informative thank you are these etf with Vanguard…..?
I am currently invested in three of these and have been invested in a fourth.
SDIV 199.16 shares
DIV 100 shares
KBWD 200 shares
And had 50.37 shares of SPHD but sold out of that position to reinvest in one of the others.

Some tips
Put your high dividend stocks, MF, bonds, and ETF into your non-taxable account like a Roth or your self-directed IRA
If you want more of the same, reinvest your dividends (DRIP) and let compounding do its magic
If you’re close to retirement or in retirement, these dividend plays are a better choice than say a growth stock or MF/ETF
Your videos are great and educational .
Thanks Messenjah!
Great video! One of the most useful investment videos I have seen on RUclips!
I wished I had been this smart when I was younger 😅 but I've been working on paying off my debt and saving money. Thanks for the awesomecontent. You have a new subscriber. 🙂
Awesome video. Quick question, is there a disadvantage to investing in to multiple etfs with over lapping stock holdings?
Well you’ll be exposed more to the performance of those stocks, which can be good or bad. But you’d want to consider expense ratios to justify doing it. Like if you’re paying .2 to one etf to hold apple but then .6 to another etf that holds apple, it can become a cost ineffective way to be invested in that particular stock. But if you have two etfs for two different purposes that happen to share stocks, it isnt too big of a deal unless you’re over concentrated at a high cost

Thank you for the insight! I appreciate the break down.
I’m far from an expert, but I believe in diversifying my ETFs. I have holdings in many different ones because they all perform differently

SCHD is definitely fantastic, and I'm going to include it in my next non-monthly dividend ETF video. I didn't include it in this one because I wanted to focus on monthly dividend ETFs
