- By now, we all know what the aftermath of the scrapping of Article 370. So, what are the issues after article 370 was scrapped? Is Ladakh safe now? especially for bikers. Which route is preferred? And what is the long term impact for travellers and tourists due to this move? Thats what I'm discussing in this video.
I have a suggestion for the best route for Ladakh in this video, and it will be pretty obvious, but you need to hear me out. I am also discussing the long term impacts of the scrapping of Article 370, and having J&K split into two Union Territories.
Since this is only a discussion and I'm sharing my views and opinions, you are free to share your views in the comments below. Let me know if you agree or disagree on my points.

Good question, but not a good idea about it. The one I have is pretty good.
For me, It's been one hell of a wait to hit Ladakh and still being a dream. No bike yet, haven't made enough money. But keeping a close eye on the travel logs all this while had kept that dream more firing up and 'raw' as you said.
Since the scrapping of Article 370, I personally feel Ladakh and it's neighbouring remote regions would definitely lose it's unique beauty(haven't been to Ladakh, but still).
Nearly a perfect dream that birthed in 2015 has made me sour now.
Still, looking forward to that day on setting off to those wonderful white mountains.

I recently did Leh to Leh trip bro. The day we landed, Government announced Ladakh as Union Territory. As far I saw and interacted with Ladakh people, they were happy about this decision, mainly on their education side. And there were no issues in Ladakh at all, Our trip went very smooth. As you said the problem was there on Srinagar route.
About dislikes to your videos, those persons can at least comment on what they are not liking :P. Further, your videos are well informed about those places, people/bikers can enjoy the beauty of those places without spoiling it ;)

There is no restriction unless it's private property. Even if it's private property you can ask them permission to put tents, and they would be glad to help you out.

Vignesh P T & Travel Vlogs It is safe to travel via Srinagar. We started from Amritsar to Leh via Srinagar on Aug 25. There were no issues for tourist in Srinagar city. In fact we stayed in Srinagar on Aug 25th night and visited Dal lake next day morning. You can prefer this route and take ur halt in Srinagar but don’t plan for site seeing other than Dal lake in the city.
City was completely under BSF control and they don’t restrict bikers from visiting the city. They don’t even ask to show ur Id proof.Just say them u r heading towards Ladakh. If anyone wants to take this route and still has fear to stay in Srinagar. I would suggest to halt at Jammu(No issues over there. postpaid BSNL or Airtel or Jio Mobile network will work) and then next day cross Srinagar and reach Sonamarg for next halt. That’s a wonderful place to have ur camping.
Note: Till Aug 26 morning there is no mobile network service in Srinagar to Kargil.
