4 years later, this helped out a lot. Thank you.
Glad to help
Best part.....the rooster! Authentic country guy! Thanks tons.
Thank you
Thank you so much for your clear video and all the details you must pay attention to.
Glad to help
Dude, you had that guy standing right there in the garage with you next time tell him to help you film. Clear as mud.
3:15 and then completely out of nowhere... chickens. So much background entertainment in this tutorial video.
:)
For everyone’s benefit, you can buy the blade and put it on the hub and then just thread your trimmer head back on- so you don’t necessarily need to buy the kit that holds the blade on.
I was wondering about that
Guess that's what I'm gonna be doing because obviously you need the adapter kit. What a drag! Mine is the 223L and without the adapter kit, it won't go on. When putting on the original head as you said, looks like you're only gonna get a few inches of cutting space, plus can't really go to flush to the ground, but better than nothing I guess.
borg386 It’s a mean combination to have string and blade together. The string handles the weeds and the blade cuts the saplings. Anything bigger than a couple inches diameter I’d just leave to a chainsaw.
@@firstlast7099 oh! I didn't plan on having any string in it. But yeah, for the bigger things I got the black and decker alligator chainsaw.
Thanks for the recommendation! Can't wait to try it out.
Pretty simple. Thank you!
Glad to help
Just a quick observation. The spacer goes on after the hub but before the nut.
Thank you so much as this as helped me greatly. Another check in the box on my to-do list. Mahalo!!
While you are struggling trying to film the video with one hand and complete the task with the other, there appears to be a guy in the background just standing there looking. 2:23
It's like from a horror movie
probably had a machete in his hand!!!!!
DUDE!!! I KNEW I COULDN'T HAVE BEEN THE ONLY ONE WHO SAW MIDNIGHT FREAKY JASON STALKER KILLER IN THE BACK GROUND!!!
Lol
Pro tip : The tool that came with it also was designed to go into the hole that he put a random screwdriver in :)
It doesnt fit into the whole on mine it's to big to fit
Simple straight forward how to tutorial thank you
Np. Glad to help
Blade, then large spacer, then plate, then nut. That's the only way it'll tighten properly.
Yes. Was going to make that same comment and founf that out myself. Videos that people take from Shadetree mechanics can hurt someone if taken as gospel. Always verify first.
Hi! Thank you for the video. Question: what size of the lock nut that you used to mount the blade? I tried many different size, but none of them fit.
What other things do you need two hands for?
Just FYI, you don’t have to buy that specific blade. I put 4” circular saw blade I had sitting around my garage on mine . Works flawlessly.
Do NOT do that! Saw blades were not meant for high speeds on a weed wacker. IT WILL FLY APART! PLEASE don't do this if you are reading this comment
Thanks for the help
Np. Glad to help.
Can a 6 blade fit on a black and Becker Model 285005?
Thank you
Glad to help
What was the black donut piece at the end ounce you got done?
Its to keep it up off the ground a bit
Thank you this was very helpful
My pleasure
Thanks
Where do o find the brush cutter kit
I got mine off of Wish. You just have to wait a while before you get it. Other places charge more but you get it faster.
Thank you. The Husqvarna manual really doesn't provide any instruction on how to change over.
Glad i could help
Thank you!
My pleasure
Where did you find the brush cutter spacer and nut? I've tried my local hardware and mower stores but they don't carry it
Lionel LAWRENCE it came with the brush cutter. You can also get a parts kit from husqvarna that has them. Let me see if can find online and I'll put a link in comments
thanks.
Glad to help
That was just was I was trying to find out. Thanks
Glad to help
Thank you! I was confused about what was the device that was under the bottom?
Glad I could help
Did the creepy guy in the background chase you around with it?
Lol
Do u have to have a straight shaft for this?
Eli Johnson what do you mean ?
Adventures In Living ive answered it myself since asking. Cant use a curved shaft trimmer and you have to get the brush trimmer attachment
Yep . you need to.
Where do i put the little skinny washrr thing that came with blade
That's so it can work with diff sized shafts. If your shaft is the little one it would go in the middle of the blade to change the size of the whole
@@AdventuresInLivingi have 223L and cannot use blade with it
@@corniss it works for it, and has for everyone else. what is the issue you are having ? do you have the adapter for changing from cord to a blade
@@AdventuresInLiving i have 223L. Not 223R. There is no attachment thingy for mine.
@@corniss yes there is m.lowes.com/pd/Husqvarna-123-223L-Brush-Cutter-Kit/3372946
Thanks.
What size blade is that???
8in
can you do this with almost any weed eater? i have an echo 58 v cordless
it depends on what you want to cut. if just doing light brush should work but if trying to use it to cut down like 2 in thick small trees the cordless will be to under powered
yeah that makes sense. I don't want to destroy the machine by taking it apart if the parts are made differently. I think I should try it :D
Carrina Murphy `
Anybody else here because of project farm?
you think this would work with my 224L?
yes it should. here is a link to it on amazon amzn.to/2ugGzdX
Why do you pause the video on the part I’m trying to figure out- get the head off the driveshaft?
Sorry didn't have more hands to film it. If you have a question I can answer it im sure
Hi bro!! Could I install this blade on Husqvana 128 LD
Yes
Where did you buy this blade? Bro
@@HangNguyen-ty7zv link in description
@@AdventuresInLiving would you please give me the link so I could order one
@@HangNguyen-ty7zv its in the description of video
I'd like this for my m18 Milwaukee trimmer
useful
Glad i could help
Counter clock wise to undo ????
I heard with weed eaters that the normal righty righty and lefty loosely goes out the window due safety so it doesn't spin off .so it is opposite with weed eaters. But I haven't tried it my self.
NICE!!
good video.. that trimmer is dirtier than my wife.
Lol
It would be much easier demonstrate an to film using a tripod!
Yes I agree
Anyone know where I can but that plate?
yes its in the description
amzn.to/2VSR5mF
@@AdventuresInLiving I was looking for the part name at 1:55 but I guess there is no official name for it. I found what I was looking for amzone tho. "Husqvarna Barrie bar kit" but I appreciate you taking the time and trying to help me man.
@@OakeDoki o no problem didnt take up my time at all i updated the description with the kit for that plate

Wholly too many uses of the words hole, pole, and shaft in this video...
Lol
