I binge watched Rivals. I remember reading Riders & the tv series back in the day so had to give this a watch. I forgot how raunchy the 80's were. Rivals is a brilliant Tally Ho Romp. The 2nd book of Jilly Coopers - Rutshire Chronicles. Loved her cameo role. Excellent casting - I loved it. However if you are of a delicate disposition & utterly PC you may be a little flushed at times. Set in 1986 when we weren't so delicate or offended by everyone & everything.
Aiden Turner is such a good actor. The redundant swearing in the dialogue is offensive and takes away from the story line. In addition the blatant nudity and sexual content, with no filters takes away from the story line and just makes the series unwatchable. I wish Aiden Turner would pick better more serious roles. Poldark was his best acting and the story line weaved with historical events was fantastic!
