A fabulous interview with Aidan and Eleanor discussing all things Poldark. They obviously share a wonderful camaraderie and it really comes through in their interaction on this. I especially love how he shares that for seven months of the year he's more Ross than Aidan due to living and breathing him nearly every hour of every day. And halfway through watching this, I've come to the decision to name the main character in my tale about a convict on Norfolk Island in the early 1800s Aidan as the real Aidan reminds me so much of the larrikin ways of the one in my head and soul. It'll be a few years till I get to it as I'm already in the middle of one set in Rwanda and another about the Holocaust is next on my list, but this one is a definite coming afterwards. I love how something out of the blue can just bring an idea that simply clicks in your heart...
It's the best show on tv right now. Must see tv for me on Sunday nights. Sad when the first season finished but can't wait for season 2. All are excellent actors.

That is a lot better than the First Season when it was shown here like 3 months later. I couldn't wait that long so I started watching it on YT until they blocked the last couple of episodes. But so many people made videos that I could pretty much follow those and figure out what happened! Then, of course, I watched it again when they finally aired it in the US. I heard they were already filming Season 3! Maybe we won't have to wait so long between Seasons like we did this time if they're already filming.

Eleanor is a phenominal actress. I truly think she has brought out the best in Aidan. And, when she speaks it's thoughtful and entertaining...he talks way too much.

one of my favourite panel discussion/interview they did as a couple - for some reason they haven't appeared together since 2017. The other best is the interview on BBC radio with Nick Grimshaw. He always seems more at ease when with Eleanor.
He really does have something of a young Sean Connery about him. After hearing his ability to alter his accent I now really think that Turner was born to play 007.
+Lisa Wiley I've red all of Gabaldons books years ago, and found them very well written. I've seen the first series on DVD and Balfe/Heughan are very talented actors. Two very different kind of adaptations though, and Debbie Horsefields I find outstanding.

I'm late watching Poldark. Demelza is my favorite character portrayed by Eleanor Tomlinson. Her transition from urchin to Lady of Nampara is absolutely brilliant and hasn't received the kudos deserved.
A three years later answer but here we are 🙂. I indeed was watching The Hobbit and during the scene where he is wounded, we can see him better and especially his eyes and I was like "Who is that handsome fellow?" and it began... I watched everything I could with him in it!
I wish there had been more Eleanor in this interview. I also want to find out more about her music. I discovered her through her recording a cover of Gordon Lightfoot. Imagine my surprise when I found out about “Demelza”!
I can't wait for season 3 to come out. Actually signed up (paid) to be a partner on WPT so I can see the episodes I missed! :D Demelza is the real hero. Could not believe the scene in Series 2, Episode 7 where she nailed Ross. They should play this up... that she's got a deep previously undetected (to this level) extreem strength, and that she is truly a force to be reckoned with.
I agree. She had been unsure of herself until Ross released that anger and insecurity. Now she's going to be on a path of discovering who she is. That back hand from her (awesomely done) was just what they both needed.

The on-screen chemistry was wonderful, but - as far as we know - they were never a couple off screen. Aidan is happily married today.
