I worked as a teacher for thirty years. School administrators work very hard to cover up teachers who abuse students. I pressed a case against a colleague who was a favorite of the principal (because she was sleeping with him, a married man) who was having sex with members of our high school's football team.
She was allowed to resign, paid out on the balance of her contract, kept her teaching license, and went on to teach at another school.
I was harassed relentlessly for two years after that until I couldn't take it any longer and resigned, then went on to teach at a college. I'll never forget how my so-called "friends" deserted me after I "snitched" on our abusive colleague.

Because the parents didn’t go to the police themselves and press charges against the teacher. The school isn’t going to….all they do is cover up for teachers…the parents have to press charges themselves or nothing will be done. All schools do is move bad teachers from school to school…..unless the local news media reports on it or unless charges get filed….and the school isn’t going to file charges….it’s up to the parents but no one ever tells the parents this and most parents don’t know.

I could write a book on abuse towards children when my kids were in school. And the stuff that I saw that went on in the office was even worse one time when I brought donuts because I would always bring hot chocolate or donuts to the crossing guard kids, there was a little boy laying on a hardwood bench with his belt unbuckled and holding his stomach, and the worst crying you ever heard in your life And when I questioned it, they said oh he always comes to the office his mom never sends him to school fed so he just sits in here and cries. I’m like well maybe he didn’t have dinner last night either. Have you thought about that? I said I can go home and make him a plate of food and I don’t mind doing this every morning by the way, I was nice about it. I wasn’t being sarcastic, and I got kicked out of the office for trying to intervene
