Margaritaville At Sea Islander: First Look At Public Spaces On Board!

- Margaritaville At Sea Islander launched and we've put together a full tour of all the public spaces on board. This quick tour brings you from the top of the ship on Deck 12 all the way down to Deck 1 highlighting all the things that are waiting for you on board Margaritaville At Sea Islander!
We share with you the spaces we love the most and point out how the Margaritaville At Sea pays homage to the past by keeping in certain elements and Easter-eggs for cruise lovers. This Spirit-class ship originally sailed for Costa Cruises as the Costa Atlantica before being transformed during an extensive dry dock that brought in new venues and experiences aboard.
If you've sailed any of the Carnival Spirit-class ships, you'll feel right at home here! To help you orient yourself as we go through the tour, we provide deck plan images throughout the video - those are all courtesy of Margaritaville At Sea.
The inaugural sailing was a true blessing for Rocky and me. We met so many people on board and got to experience things we've never done before in all of our cruises. It was truly a cruise we will never forget. We hope that this tour gives you just a little bit of an idea for what's in store on Margaritaville At Sea Islander!

I really like the way you put the deck layout graphic next to the video, really helps my brain picture everything, very smart!!!
Thank you for the kinds words! We sometimes find it hard on tours to figure out where someone is on the ship, so we started overlaying the deck plans. It’s a lot more time consuming, but it’s rewarding to hear that it helps!! :) -m

They did such a great job on the names of the various venues! We just keep learning more and more about Jimmy Buffet and the Margaritaville brand. Lots of great integrations!

You did a great job at speeding through the floors in a way that was understandable and insightful! I’m not a casino girl but I absolutely hate having to walk by or through the smoke, so I will enjoy it being non smoking. We sail in late September- gonna let them work out the first few kinks 😂😂😂
Great plan! It’s a beautiful ship and we’re loving watching it evolve. That smoke-free casino is amazing and it has allowed us to play a couple games without allergies kicking in.

Wow. That makes me so sad. We’ve had some fun times there with the margarita overflowing and the mermaids getting us wet. Just damn.
Yeah! They just closed it a month or two ago. Perhaps they’ll come back to a different location soon.

The ship is familiar from the Carnival ships (who own Costa for those who don’t know), so them keeping a lot of the set up from Costa is awesome. Definitely an upgrade from what I have seen from the MAS Paradise. I refused to sail on it, but this one has changed my mind about MAS. They spent some money on this one.
It really is different look and feel from Paradise. We’re having a great time and are excited to watch Margaritaville at Sea continue expand with this addition. They’ve got the right idea and will continue to get better!

I noticed that layout of this ship looks exactly like the Spirit class of Carnival ships.

It feels absolutely familiar! Definitely some great aspects to the ship!
It looks like they pulled it off with this ship. Appears they did a deep refurb and not just slapped some paint on everything like with Paradise.
It’s definitely apparent that they put a lot of time and thought into the design of this ship public space. Even the cabins were overhauled. It looks great!
on the waterslide rules, it says that it is for kids 12+ .... did you see that this was enforced? OR did you see kids that looked younger on it?
We didn’t see them checking any IDs while we were back there. ;) With that said, after an injury on the next to last day of our sailing, the water slide was shut down. I would imagine they are going to be more rigorous going forward on who can/can’t ride. Of course, we always recommend following all rules to ensure a safe and fun vacation experience! :) -mark

This looks like an actual cruise ship! As opposed to Margaritaville at Sea Paradise, which just looks sad…
They did an amazing job. It’s clear they had a lot more creative control bringing in a new ship (versus inheriting what Bahamas Paradise already had). The spaces are all very intentional, and it’s one of our favorite classes of ships (Spirit). Definitely think they’ve got a competitor with this one!! -m

There’s just sooooo much to see and do, it’s hard to slow down!! But, we will definitely take an easier pace in our full review so everyone can take in the ship and hear what we loved, didn’t love, and hated. Thanks for watching - and stay tuned for a lot more! :) -mark
