it's just because it's so common and easy to play and fairly strong. if you enjoy it, play it. maybe just experiment with different ideas in it because you can play it aggressive or positional and it's a great beginner opening framework to get comfortable with different ideas while giving you room for inaccuracies.

So I played and used it in my school yearly chess competition I played 3 matches and I used only the London system and won (my final opponent did the king's Indian and I played the moves you suggested for king's Indian and I won thx
As a London player, I have to agree that if we define "The London" as just premoving the whole pyramid with no counterplay to your opponent's moves, then yeah that's the worst system ever. Then again, any system is equally terrible if you play it like that.
I came here to say this. I don’t play the London but but I don’t have this assumption that London players don’t deviate from the system when it helps. I’d say at least London players have the guts to deviate .1 centipawn playing bf4, showing they want to take the game in their own territory even if more concrete lines exist

Once the game deviants from what ever they expect, the have no tactical awareness or even just counting, like the game you showed with the Rook for 2 minors. I guess that's true of anyone, but it's really annoying with the London because it lets people fake their way into a middle game they have no business being in. I say that someone who played the Queen's Gambit Declined Exchange Variation, which was the London of the 80s. At least we put a bishop as far away as g5 though.
you don't say, I got into the triangle slav for quite a bit late last year ,and yeah the QGD exchange was really annoying, had to go back to playing the kings indian. You are right though, it still does not compare with the london, especially if it's in the hands of a somewhat stronger 2000ish player, they won't blunder any pieces, it's just gonna be a long bland game.

We avoid the kings indian situation using a jobava London style but instead of making the pyramid we move the e pawn towards the center make a queen and dark squared Bishop battery and then trade our dark squared bishop for theirs and then castle queen side and initiate a pawn storm on the king side

lol,i got you.. it has something to do with pinning the knight to the queen with bishop g5, and if e4 is played, you just capture it.
