This whole scene... The flashing red lights, the overwhelming music, the way Refn contrasted Jesse's innocence and the tense atmosphere... Everything about this film was absolutely mesmerizing.
very happy I saw this film at the one theater still playing it near me. Such a great visually amazing film with amazing music.
Strange one for me this film, Overall I didn't enjoy it. But some of the scenes are wonderfully shot, and the soundtrack is wonderful. I'll probably never watch the film again, but I'll definitely be listening to the soundtrack.
It is a phenomenal scene, probably one of my favourites that I've seen o the big screen in the past five years.
I saw this movie with a friend of mine, i liked all the movies from Winding and even though this isn't his best work (or it actually is, i still don't know for sure) i am amazed how the movie affected me, i usually cannot keep my mouth shut, but after this movie id didn't know what to say :-)

This kind of trance-electro-like music is incredible, maybe because I grew up with games like Doom II, it gives the same vibe, and dives me into nostalgia.

Doom II is my favourite video game of all-time. This kind of trance music is still around but it is reminiscent to me of some mid-2000s trance like Infected Mushroom.

One of the most unnerving movies I have ever seen. I have seen over a thousand movies. This movie embraces pure narcissism and self worship as a positive thing. That idea alone is haunting realism. This movie reminded me of The Witch in its final message minus the religious factor. We live in a world of lonely people who worship themselves.
The selfishness in this world is beyond TOXIC everyone will be before the THRONE OF GOD!

A friend who played as dj that night _[DJ Lovepills from Acid Mercenaries - Panzerkreuz/Bunker sub-label from Den Haag, NL]_ said to me he never saw so much people there for a techno party !!! Hahaha !!! And the next day another friend who also played that night _[DJ Pute Acier - Brigade Mondaine]_ told me two french people who were at a boring party came to mine and enjoyed so much they can listen to 140bpm acied/techno that they wrote a very smart article about the party in their magazine. The _''fun fact''_ is that the day just after the party when we had a look on how much people were supposed to be present at the the party it show us *303* people !!! Hahaha !!!
After this incredible experience I decided to make a collaboration with my best friend and to organized another party with old school techno dj's from the 90's. But there were not much than 50 people only from the core of our techno scene but we lost a lot of money and I never organized a party again.

I find a lot of meaning in the film and find the critics showed their narrow vision by trashing the movie. It is constantly said that the movie is meaningless. It's good to see people are finally saying good things about it.

His movies "Drive" and "Only God Forgives" are not for everyone. Pure art and gripping story.
Drive is actually his most straight forward and accessible film. His truly weird stuff is Valhalla Rising, Only God Forgives and The Neon Demon.

Ok after seeing the movie it was pretty good and she got majorly fucked in the end and holy shit you have to see it, I feel like they could of made this movie in the early 90's and it would of still had substance and came out the same as it did this year. 8.5/10 go see it no alcohol required.

I adore dthe movie and as someone whose cast for show in NYFW it captures some brutal truths about the industry.
Wish this was in theaters longer, the movie was criminally underrated but I can see why and where it might be coming from, Refn isnt for everyone even without the scenes found in this particular movie. I love how he leaves you waiting on edge for every word and keeps you in a sense of unease.
Wish Nicolas Winding Refn would make a hotline miami film with Julian Winding composing the soundtrack. Would be amazing.

Love this track and love the film. If you haven’t heard a lot of music that sounds like this but you’re interested try a (basically one man) band called Juno Reactor. There are similarities but they by no means sound identical to this, I just think if you enjoyed this track as much as I do you MAY like some Juno Reactor songs.

Saw this movie last night for the first time and I was blown away. Artistic, visually mesmerizing, awesome cinematography and an outstanding performance by Fanning among others. I had no idea what to expect other than an amazing score from Cliff Martinez, but the tension is palpable and I was on the edge of my seat through out the movie. I was totally drawn into the film, and the twist it takes is something else, absolutely mind blowing, awesome and also horrific, sickening and tragic all at the same time. I found myself peeping through my fingers many times, gasping as surely it's not going to go there, which inevitably, it does. This movie really affected me on so many levels, and in this day and age, this is quite rare, much like this movie. Absolute gold and a stellar movie...
This was intense best theater experience proud to have witnessed it!

I’m by no means a film expert but this movie stands alongside Natural Born Killers for me as both an absolute favourite film and one that is completely unique. I’m not always in the mood for watching either NBK or The Neon Demon but I see them both as some of the best works of cinema I’ve ever had the pleasure of paying money for and enjoying.
I don't mean to shit on anyone's work but there's really no way you can put anything David Lynch has done in the same category as Neon Demon which is more of an extended music video than a feature film. Wafer-thin metaphors beside crisp cameras do not a Lynchian symbol create.
