Ed Reid is without a doubt the most informative voice on our Adventist history. Every time I listen to his same sermons over and over again, I learn new things each time. For example, I always knew that there was to be spiritualism at the end of time, but never realized that is the belief being taught by most churches today that the soul is immortal and doesn't die when the body does.
I was raised SDA but strayed for 42 years so I haven't been able to read all EGW's writings and what I have been able to read, this old brain has trouble retaining. So thank God for RUclips and American Christian Ministries for making Ed's sermons available.

I bought the CD rom of Ellen White's writings based on Dr. Reid's reccomendation.
I've seen this particular sermon a couple of times. I love it. The Lord will be coming back in my lifetime. I may very well be alive at his coming and see it with my own eyes. I can't even tell you how excited that makes me.

“The preaching of a definite time for the judgment, in the giving of the first [angel’s] message, was ordered of God. The computation of the prophetic periods on which that message was based, placing the close of the 2300 days in the autumn of 1844, stands without impeachment. The repeated efforts to find new dates for the beginning and close of the prophetic periods, and the unsound reasoning necessary to sustain these positions, not only lead minds away from the present truth, but throw contempt upon all efforts to explain the prophecies. The more frequently a time is set for the second advent, and the more widely it is taught, the better it suits the purposes of Satan. After the time has passed, he excites ridicule and contempt of its advocates, and this casts reproach upon the great advent movement of 1843 and 1844. Those who persist in this error will at last fix upon a date too far in the future for the coming of Christ. Thus they will be led to rest in a false security, and many will not be undeceived until it is too late.” (GC 456-57)

May I ask when this message was actually presented? It's clear it wasn't 2 yrs ago & I've deducted more like many yrs ago @ possibly a Soquel Campmeeting? Fascinating & enlightening and very grateful I stumbled upon it! ThkU for uploading. I've born, raised & fully schooled SDA my whole life...whyyy in the world have I never heard this prophesy time enlightenment before??! I would be most interested in watching this entire series of Ed Reid's. I can't seem to find it...can you possibly direct me or provide a clue or 2 for search reference? ThkU, again & God Bless! They are not prepared for what's about to be revealed. Please tell the whole truth, so people are NOT AFRAID to share truth testimonies. That have been silenced & surpressed.... that will help outpouring of Holy Spirit to come.

@@ProphecyUpdate7 The BIBLE and SOP declare him a false prophet. To defend him confirms you do not trust the Word of you Creator God.
@@NicholasPOGM Please show first what makes him a false prophet and what in the Bible and SoP goes against that so others can make decisions for themselves instead of just making claims.
@@ProphecyUpdate7 Revelation 10:6. And as for people making decisions for themselves, that's all well and good. But to stand as a preacher making his "opinion" come off as prophetic, not. Good. Proof? See 2Peter 1:20.
@@NicholasPOGM Thank you for those texts but I still fail to see what he might have said which goes against either one of those texts. If you are referring to the point of his message, the 6,000 year timeline, then very much it is talked about many times in the SoP. Of course Revelations talks about the last 1,000 years being in heaven.

The vision at Lovett's Grove, Ohio, on a Sunday afternoon in mid-March, 1858, was one of great importance.
