    I really like the way you took this video. By watching it, I feel like I am riding the Helicopter.

      U mean a Wessex as they were based at manston from 1974-1988 then replaced by the seaking until 1994 when the seakings went to wattesham

    Sounds like my 1978 Silverado truck I used to own back in the early eighties, with original 350 engine.my truck sounded strong like the helicopter, because there was a hole in my exhaust. I took it to the shop, they just welded it, but it did the job.Later I put a duel exhaust.

    WAIT A MIN, Is this Heli powered by a Radial engine or something cause that's what it sounds like when it started up, i was expecting to hear a Gas Turbine start, pretty neat Heli.

      Exact cet helico existe en version turbine ET avant cela , en version moteur radial

    • @bebajoro77
      @bebajoro77 6 лет назад +1

      Yes, it's radial piston engine. Turboshaft power came along later.

      Yep these monsters had the Wright R-1820 Cyclone in them and eventually the H-34/S-58 was upgraded to a turbo-shaft which was also built under license as the Wessex

      That is pretty awesome.

      @MHG1023 6 лет назад +2

      Correct.
      Btw. this is an original S-58C - not the military variant H-34.
      It uses the R-1820-76 rated at 1425 hp.
      This particular helicopter even has a real airline history.
      It was operated first by Chicago Helicopter Airways and later by SABENA (Belgian national airline) for scheduled flights to a number of destinations before taken over by the Belgian army and eventually being bought by MERAVO.
      The turbine conversion/variant is called the S-58T

    you are getting in the cockpit and showed zero footage of it. only outside scenery during the flight. most stupid idea ever..

    • @Chefsalat76
      @Chefsalat76  6 лет назад +2

      No, I was not "getting into the cockpit", I was sitting in the passenger cabin which is one floor below the cockpit. There is no link between the cockpit and passenger cabin. Look at the helicopter where I show it from the outside. Be assured I would have filmed the cockpit if I had access to it...
