If he's the best player in the draft, the draft is pretty weak in my opinion. As of now, he looks like slightly more versatile Shane Battier. I don't really see anything that impressive but maybe too soon. Ball handling doesn't look the great, speed doesn't look that great. Just a big, strong frame that seems sound fundamentally. Based on this performance, I just see a solid role player, possibly an all star but not really.

Banchero was my #1 pick early in the year. Just by eye test alone. Yet I also saw a lot of defensive issues at time's. Hopefully he can lock in a bit more. Even if you aren't playing great D, gotta stay in front of your man and try to make them shoot over you. His offense is great, maybe some NBA conditioning will help him along defensively as well.
Kendrick Perkins had some terrible draft comparisons on draft night but I think he was on point comparing Paolo to a mixture of Ben Simmons and Beasley. Beasley was a bust but he always had a smooth offensive game and great size you pair that with the Ben Simmons like playmaking ability, handle and defense and that's a star.
Beasley is more of a face up guy and was more of a shooter. Paolo's can post up but also work the triple threat. He's got an eye for 'hockey puck' assists too where he'd relocate and you think he would catch and shoot but he'd find someone else who could score. Always good to hit Carter inside or maybe the wings when they cut. When you see him play the more he makes so much sense how he works with the current group.
