Congrats on the new shop. Hope it goes well for ya! I know what you mean about the chapters of life, being in dental school really has taken a toll on my ability to make FJ videos 😂
I’ve been meaning to search for you channel having not seen anything from you in a while. Congratulations on starting a new shop! Glad you’re still posting. I’ve enjoyed the build.
I was just thinkin literally yesterday, I haven't seen Ken post in a minute... Then wake up to a new video!! All I can say is you do you boo, and I'll be here watchin. You sir are a huge inspiration
Good luck with the new shop! You keep uploading I will keep watching... and will happily wait however long I have to in between. I always thought that the hollow tube would be stronger than solid. Those new links are beefy AF 😎👍
Hopefully the shop situation only gets gooder from now on. The 7075 Aluminum is alloyed with zinc, compared to like a 6061 which is alloyed with magnesium and silicon. This gives the 7075 better corrosion resistance as well as twice the tensile strength. However, this increase in tensile strength decreases its elongation, or strain for the same stress. All this is to say 7075 is less bendy than 6061 but can take harder hits before it permanently bends. Hope your new shop gets going!
I've been watching you for a little while now, since before the major beastifacation of the FJ. I live in Vegas and do a good bit of trails here in my 04' Suburban. Id love to make a trip to Idaho. I've been through once but didn't have time to do anything. Im definitely in need of a road trip. Good luck with everything. Maybe see ya up there someday.
Awesome! Watching your videos gave me the courage to convert my 2WD Tacoma to 4WD, and do the Chevy 63 swap on my rear suspension. Keep up the good work.
Hi Ken, it's been a while and we miss you. Good to know that everything is ok. Congratulations and best of luck on your business venture. Guess you will not have a hard time coz it is not work if you love what you are doing. Kudos and keep safe, don't shortcut on all personal protective equipment.
You can't keep a good man down. Glad to see you back in action with new plans for your future. No worries a good shop location will soon come your way.
I wondered where you been. Been a while since I've seen a video. Bummer on the new shop and the zoning problems. Almost sounds like a blessing in disguise though. You really need to have water in the shop!
good to see you back Ken! had a blast wheeling with you at Trail hero.. congrats on the new venture, im struggling with the same issue down here in Heber City, Shop space is in short supply for my powder coating business, something will turn up...cheers!
Cool to see your experience evolve I can't wait to start my first crawler build this winter. Not sure if yah lost some weight but looking good! Good luck on the bizz!
Hey I love your videos. Just some constructive criticism, you need running water, a small front office/break room/and a vehicle lift. It's gunna cost a PILE of money to get started/insured/tools/diagnostics. Turning a fun hobby into a business can be very challenging, but I really think your a cool dude and I love your FJ. Follow your heart & dreams 👍
@@offroadhub.official That's cool, you've also got a lot of experience and the will to succeed. I had a landscaping business I built from scratch and sold at the peak in 2006, so I definitely know the joys and pains of being a sole proprietor. Would I do it again? Absolutely 😀
You should move to Russia where fuel is cheap and you can afford to drive your vehicle as far as you want without being concerned about fuel costs. I'm sure there's plenty of people in Russia that would like to do business with you. I plan on packing up and being gone within the next couple months before gas is up to $9 a gallon
you sacked yourself to start your own shop,,ray rainman got the sack before he sacked himself, to start his bussiness..lets all do the same, self employed..i recently sorta stoped work, sold house, moved FAR away, thinking of building, saving, 4x4rs,trucks, sell them. good luck, .
HHHHHHHAAAAAAAAHH,,you got no water, sink,,i build houses,, for some reason, regardless its a safety issue,, were lucky, to have a bog, water outlet. i feel for you..100 gallon water tank, rain tank, with 12v pump. & you need a good parts washer.. sunlite fluro,s. hoists are cheap now..

Thanks awesome! I've been wanting to convert a 2wd Toyota to 4wd.

I've got a couple in the pipeline. I think you might recognize some of the content. 😄
I wondered what you were up to. I don't know about your area, but around here the ability/willingness to do gear setups will get you some business.
good luck, congrats
Good luck to you and your business! Gonna miss the vids! Vlogs of the shop would be awesome if you got the time!
Oh yeah! I'm not going to stop putting things on youtube, just not going to be as regular!
How cool! I know a mechanic I can trust in Rexburg now!
😉
Wish you luck dude.

Kens Hobby Shop .
My slogan: "Your vehicle will never be the same." 😄
I hope to see you build another rig someday
Me too! 😉
Hopefully you can find a place. Water would be nice too.
Yes, water would be a huge plus. It'll all work out for the best.
HE'S BACCCKKK!! YEEEESSSS!
Awesome work! I am a current FJ owner as well. And would love to see someone to a v8 swap in these fj’s. Toyota v8 newer
That would be fun. Toyota engines are really expensive to buy though, compared to a GM V8 for instance.

Good points. I do have the tools already fortunately. Everything else are things that can be dealt with in various ways I think.

Nice.
I’d love to be a customer. Let me know when your ready I need a diagnosis done on a 92 f150
Absolutely! I'd love to help.
Hope you find a shop with running water.
That would be good. 👍
It is time to change your drive shaft. Saw some dings and dents.
It's a little beat up... 😄
you need to box the links, as far as travel will suffer.. boxing & gussets.
KEN, say to the ''council'',, why is this built here. &,, do you live near here. if not,,whats your problem.?.. we have the same crap in aus..
