I have some of that morph stuff! I use it when setting stones in my jewellery, but I never thought about using it like this. Great idea, and one I will adopt immediately. 😊
Does anyone recall “friendly plastic “? I used to make jewellery with is about 30 years ago as a teenager. It came in strips… thermo reactive plastic with all colours and or foil finish/patters about 2” x 6”. You popped it in hot water to and then crafted away! Fab stuff
I have so many beautiful jewelry and other interesting pieces that I’d love to mold. Because they’re small, I was never sure how well I could mold them 👍🏻
Morph plastic?! 😲 I'm one of those who've never heard of it! How cool is that!! 😊 And it's reusable! Thanks for the tip about pouring a bit of silicone over each piece, first. Makes sense. 😊👍 LOVE how the pieces turned out, Steve...thanks for the video! 😊💕👍
Great at making moulds I might invest in their liquid silicone Didn’t like the jewellery though. Maybe if we’re metallic colours or moulds brushed with mica But it’s all about individual taste. Well done tho. You made it look soo easy
Bought some silicone ages ago to do this! Today I’m finally doing it! Great video and advice! I would have forgotten the demould spray, if I hadn’t watched again! Thanks Steve!
That's some really cool stuff! It would be a lot of fun to play around with. I love the gold marker on the pendants! I thought it was gold leaf until you said what you used. Pretty awesome!
JDiction don't sell SO many of their products to those of us in the UK. Could you advise us what alternatives there might be here for them - especially the metallic markers? There are loads advertised, but no reviews to comment on how good they are!
Nice video. I'm using the same silicone mold to replicate an aligante cast, but it seems like it's not properly curing around it. Is there a particular sealer i need to use?
my question is when you brushed on the gold paint. did you have to use a varnish? is their a special varnish for resin pendants to not irritate the skin? thank you in advance
Awesome trick to know. Thanks for sharing it! I'm definitely going to try some of the white morph stuff, but I surely am curious as to what "bioplastic" actually is! 😄
My go to would have been regular ol plaster to make a piece, or to make a mould from a finished head, or to coat it with Vaseline and pour silicone in to make a mold. Yours look good :)
Greetings, I have a miniature-sized figure, and I would like to replicate it in silicone. Could bath silicone work? or what other material could I use? to get all the details?
Do u know if this is what oyumaru is? 🤔 Oyumaru is a "plastic clay" that comes in lil blocks.. usually clear or transparent colors and u put them in hot water just like this and we press it onto things to make molds of them.. instead of pressing the oyumaru into the molds we use the oyumaru AS the molds and can use uv resin etc in it.. I hope that makes sense? 😅 I'm wondering if this could work the same way? 😊 Although I know resin gets pretty warm and that may make the plastic stuff (and oyumaru) misshapen at some point.. I know oyumaru can be used and reused as well 🥰 I'd love to know more about this! Tysm! Very fun and interesting!
Hello! May I ask where else I can buy the varnish spray you use or is there an alternative brand of varnish spray? I’ve looked for 3 brand of recommended varnish spray and they’re all out of stock…😢 And I’ve used two brands of varnish spray I randomly chose and they didn’t work~ Thank you so much
Hi i got a question i got a holographic mold and i found that after demolding it the holographic effect can rub off very easily or get scracthed. is there anyway to cover it with a clear coat or does it need to cure longer. Its just so beautiful but doesnt last so im scared to sell to people for it to just come off easy.
Hi, I hope u can help me 😢 I made a boo boo by not having my scales on a flat surface and didn't have enough hardener in so it wasn't fully set after over 24hrs, so I left resin behind in the few moulds I used and left a sticky mess in some of the slots in them moulds, I need to know how to get rid of this as I've used isopropyl alcohol and a warm soapy water and there is still some stickiness around please 🙏 help
That white morph stuff is great isn't it. Nice project Steve
The white morph is incredible stuff. That mold is beautiful. Thanks for sharing all your knowledge.
Oooo, the morph plastic has my attention, I use to play with something like that as a kid

This is the first time I've seen it ,very impressed .

Steve, you're right; I've never heard of it. This can be so helpful; especially in making molds. Thankx for the demonstration.
The tips are very helpful for my crafts.
Loved this video. As an egyptoholic I would love to have a mold like that. Totally brilliant.

@@cymorilgray1891 my mom had tons of it, books and everything!
Isn't this the same thing as worbla(sp?)?
Thanks for the idea--have not seen white morph before!!
That silicone by jdiction is amazing. Just used it for a very big mold. Worked perfectly.
Your videos are soooo informative. I’m a beginner and always watch your helpful tips. Hello from Charleston, West Virginia USA😃
I have so many beautiful jewelry and other interesting pieces that I’d love to mold. Because they’re small, I was never sure how well I could mold them 👍🏻

Wow very cool 😊
Thats cool! I wonder if hot glue would work the same way.

Never heard of the morph stuff. Will have to give it a go for sure. ❤

I have those plastic beads, and didn’t know what to do w/ them! I’ve had them for over 5 years!
Hi. How do we clean up the silicone? Do I just have to use disposable mixing cups? Thanks! Great vid 🎉
Nice video. I'm using the same silicone mold to replicate an aligante cast, but it seems like it's not properly curing around it. Is there a particular sealer i need to use?
What you could have used is a silicone pastry brush to brush on the molds before you fill it up.
my question is when you brushed on the gold paint. did you have to use a varnish?
is their a special varnish for resin pendants to not irritate the skin?
thank you in advance
thanks Steve for sharing your passion with us! I have a question, can you spray silicone release on a mold and then put in the mica powder?
I hadn't heard of it before your videos, so I'm really late to the party. 😂
Were do you buy it Steve. I am from South Africa. Please let me know

Question it appears the new mold doesn’t come out shiny. Is there a way to make it shiny, I know we can add UV on top but other ways perhaps?

What is this product called ? I live in Australia
Can you make a shaker mold? I’ve made my own Dachshund molds and would like to make a shaker mold out of them also….

@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCrafts
Thanks very much 👍 I'll give it ago!
Maybe you could do a video on such a mess up!
But before pouring new mixed resin, make sure your molds are dry first! None of that soapy water residue...
@@alcg3981 ok I will do
Does Uv resist resin mean its more resist to heat
I believe it means it's less prone to turning yellow.
Degas your silicone in your pressure pot before you pour...no bubbles
❤❤❤❤❤❤

I’m late to the party too!
My molds are dull, will using this plastic make a new mold created shiny?
