- the Grimoire is a new weapon type in warframe! bringing a new type of playstyle and wizardry to warframe! i really like it even though its not Super overpowered its still fun. i Hope DE brings out more weapons like this!

I think the community is missing the writing on the wall here. The grimoire mods add some insane support effects to the book… it has infinite ammo, huge alt aoe. It’s a book of knowledge about the void, it can be useful without killing hard.
Love the concept. Hope they move more in this direction. We've had space ninjas for long enough, it's time for space wizards to rise to power. >.>

Nothing wrong with it just being... "good". Not every new weapon has to be meta-definingly busted right out the gate. It's very unique and a lot of players (me included) are definitely gonna use it just because it's *fun*.
I actually like that it's weaker in the damage area but acts as a buffing tool. Makes it super unique
I agree with this! I used to be metametametameta but now I’ve discovered Warframe is 10x more fun when you use non meta weapons and play them for fun even if you put yourself at a disadvantage

No secondary will ever be stronger than the laetum in dps, so it's to be expected.

Just a real quick reminder about the new pistol mod for radiation and fire rate. Threw that on and it was quite fun, especially with lethal torrent, the fire rate felt good, plus it was free rad procs which is really nice (especially with the orb) as a utility thing.
okay, this might be galaxy-brain, but use this with wisp for a theme build.
take the strength invocation, combine that with wisp's fire rate boost to free up a mod slot, and then use one of the canticles to buff your team.
combine that with the secondary arcane that boosts them based on how many buffs you have on allies and boom.
Witch build.
I did this with wisp day one with my riven being +fr +Ms +toxin -mag cap y'all behind. Cc and Cd aren't everything Fr from wisp, riven, tome mod, and arcane velocity absolutely shreds anything.
"this weapon needs fire rate" - proceeds to not use the tome mod that gives a ton of fire rate. To be fair, most of the frames I'm trying it with are already good with energy regeneration, universal orbs aren't something I need so much. But I can say that using it by itself really does help although throwing in a Lethal Torrent as well isn't bad to help bring up the base.
Pretty much i went inexpecting laetum, and left with a pocket wisp -aka just a buffer-
In the end im not complaining, those invocation mods are kinda huge if you just want to alt fire then spam some abilities

But i think anyone that knows the history of weapon and warframe releases knows this could of been a much worse weapon
Definitely feeling you're going to get a lot more milage out of invocation mods than canticle. That would be true even if the effects were flipped because the secondary fire hits are so much more likely to happen with regularity.
@@WarframeFloI feel like there will be better tome weapons and mods in the future too, that are harder to get. A weapon given for free with a slot and potato, that's relatively easy to get isn't going to best of class, I'm sure there will be better ones in the future

Cool video, good information and I like that you added something for everyone in the builds, I mostly commented for algorithm since your style of content creation caters to everyone and I think it will benefit the new players of the warframe community to find your channel instead of looking at builds that require you to beat 80% of the content of the game for 3 of the mods of the build and it also gives seasoned players an outsiders opinion on their own builds to help them with tweaking/minmaxing such as myself

Honestly, I've been using Xata and Vome Invocations with a grouping ability and it's been amazing. Vome with Khra basically replaces the need for Energize. Xata gives an immediate 60% str buff, so it might replace Molt Augmented in a few builds that needs the str right away. Need to test Jahu a bit more, it should also be a pretty good support mod to use, especially if you can kill abilities while the book is out. Overall though, the book is fine asis. The fact Invocations only require hits is saving the weapon from being meh.
Galv shot and diffuse, lethal, gunslinger, the new radiation mod, hornet, augur pact, and the engery tome with universal ords. The cook book. How i run mine currently with gren prime.
I took mine on a steel peth run and it was really good not great but this video doesn't do it justice

I modded it for corrosive and rad with the new rad mod and used it with nourish and it does OK in steel path

Honestly, I think you're mistaken about it not being OP. Sure, it doesn't kill things very well, but I would argue it can be considered the strongest secondary in the game due to its unique mods. It doesn't do the normal gun thing well, but it's meant to set you up so your other tools are stronger.
The animation is silly. Seems like it should be more of a hold out hand and just let the sparks shoot out in a more continuous stream. Saving the "throwing" animation for the secondary fire.
I'm hoping they bring in more tome mods that do things like change the projectile behavior
idk if you do suggestion in the comments, but I'm a returning player and i love limbo, but there isn't a lot of up to date guides going in-depth on him besides just "use for defense mission" would you be able to take a look at him in a video?
I want more magic weapons. Or at least make our tenno more magic. They used to be casters but now they don't

I found that the new accelerated isotope mod is pretty good on it, what with it giving elemental damage and fire rate
but even with a high damage, max firerate build it's just OK
cascadia empowered can make it deal some more decent dps, what with it having decent status chance and infinite ammo so you can MAX OUT firerate with no worries, but that's usually rather lacking
Mate you should just throw the whole book at them if you're going to be ripping the pages out that fast

It's supposed to be a support weapon more. Plus it's free with slot and potato, it isn't going to be best of class there will probably be more tome weapons that are better and more tome mods
Im actually quite surprised with how good its been for me, one of the best utility secondaries we have and it procs encumber pretty effectively
You should try the new Avada-Kedavra mod, it's a killer!

You dont need to kill with the invocation mods just hit enemies with the alt fire to get a stat boost
if you are absolutely desperate for secondary fire rate, don't forget the furax wraith's amalgam mod which gives you a bonus 45% fire rate without using a modslot on your secondary, also the tennokai heavy can activate incarnon melee without using combo

I just wish the crosshair was smaller. With it covering a lot of what I'm aiming at, it makes me assume the projectile is a lot bigger than it is.

Just a little note that you can ONLY get tome mods from Munio (mirror defense) on rot C.

Yep, that's it's whole purpose, that's why it's not an amazing one shot weapon, it's supposed to augment your abilities with the mods

I mean I have been hitting 2-3 million damage on alt fire lately so I think it’s much stronger than people think.
I hope we get a fire book at some point then the armor strip mod will be useful when paired with heat/corrosive

Since we can see the archon shards buffing corrosive we can do good damage with the grimore
to me with these news mods it's more of a supp weapon pair it with someone who want insane dps with secondary (mesa)

The invocation mods don't need to kill, they just need to And it's pretty easy to hit a bunch of enemies in one with that AoE. Xata seems like a great way of refuelling without any muss or fuss so long as you're in enemy-dense content. And you're probably not that short of juice outside enemy dense so that should be OK.
I will never use it like killing weapon, I will just put all Invocation mods in it + fire rate mods + multishot mod. This is insane how many buffs secondary weapon can bring.
P.S. I hope there is no limit on Invocation mods
I believe you can only use 1 Invocation and 1 Canticle mod
