Wow. I felt weird commenting “let’s play if you come to Charlotte”….and came across this video. Love this course!
So let’s play if you come back

Hoping to come back. Not sure when though. I’d like to visit again when it’s a little warmer out the next time!

Course looks nice. Built by Dr. Michael Hurdzan in 1987. Another Gem video, nice work!

Great video! You have such a great attitude and seem to just enjoy being on the course. 👍I live south of Charlotte so never played this course but looks like a good track. Yes, you can golf in NC in the winter.. I actually prefer it. You're not dying in the heat and green fees are cheaper. Issue is most of the time its wet and the bermuda grass is dormant and there is absolutely no roll out on your shots.

Thank you! I really enjoyed my weekend in the city of Charlotte, I could see myself visiting more and playing some more rounds down there too. There’s also fewer bugs when it gets a little colder, it’s great. My favorite time to play golf is in autumn.

Thanks for sharing. I’m at your skill level and enjoy watching your videos. Only so much I can handle watching scratch golfers on RUclips that I can’t relate to. Also, I just got back into golf after an 8 year layoff, don’t worry about wanting nice new things, I’m buying new clubs all the time. If you enjoy it and can afford it, why not? It’s your money and your passion, don’t give yourself a hard time for splurging on a new piece of equipment. This is supposed to be fun, why can’t you have fun shopping for new gear? Good luck man, looking forward to watching your journey this season.

Fun video Joe! That looked like a tough course and definitely tough conditions with the dead grass and slow greens. If you are ever in Charlotte again and play that course I feel you break 100 easy! Great third shot on 14 down the hill. Glad the golf gods rewarded you with a par on that one!

Thanks Tom! Yeah I’m breaking 100 if I play that course again! Thank the golf gods for that shot, lol! 😂

Hey love the videos! found you a bit ago just cause you play courses in my area lol. Curious on your camera/mic setup?

      Thank you!
I’m using a pretty simple setup. I should make a video about it soon. Basically I’m using an iPhone 14 Pro Max and wireless DJI Mics. Occasionally I shoot with an Osmo Pocket 2 (it’s been over a year since I’ve used it though) and sometimes I use a DJI Osmo Action 4 for some b-roll or just to get footage from another angle.

Man believe it or not, I think lost balls count as 2 penalty strokes if you don't re-tee from where you hit. So on 13, when your ball was lost you'd be hitting 4. I can't believe this rule is like this, but I think I'm right on this. I get my fair share of practicing counting those shots, btw, LOL.

Yeah? I’ll definitely look into that, I wasn’t aware

@@playbaad It's a wild rule. And approx. 0% of the people I've ever played with have done it. 😆
