I saw a picture of someone in best in slot gear. It was torn clothing, a blue glowy spear that lacked detail and some other items that looked like Warcraft starter junk. I was surprised, as the art seems to contain all sorts of iconic conquistador and sinister cursed looking gear. Apparently players dont get given that, or if they do, its so terrible, nobody uses it.
My character is a black guy with mutton chops and an afro named phallic blackwood. However my friends who's character is named trigger, got banned and had to have a meeting with the community managers and explain to them why he should be able to keep his name. He's had the name trigger since Xbox live in 2003
Its a really satisfying fishing game mate. Far Cray series somehow manage to make fishing unpleasant, but the mechanics in New World make fishing a thoroughly enjoyable experience. And I think you are right. If a game has a mini-game that is enjoyable in its own right, then the potential playtime skyrockets. Not quite the same thing, but I found the hunting in RDR2 so enjoyable I would disappear for days into the mountains hunting and get totally absorbed in it. Thanks for watching mate.

How do you think I feel being a very early player of Everquest? Sure, it was rough and it was tough, and playing such through a dial-up modem could be rage inducing... but I wouldn't trade that experience for the world. 😂
Game was bought for me by a friend, I tried playing the game but the first few days of the game being live. One faction went around the entire map and took everything. Any other factions gathering players to resist was mass reported and banned. They openly bragged about being able to do this. If they found out you were leading a guild, you couldn't play.
Such a shame that you don't have more subs or views for that matter, but what the hell we are anyway an exclusive group and I fell rather privileged this way!

now i have gone from 18768 queues to zero .got 2 chars to 30 and started another new char due to said queues . im at level 30 again level 80+ on all crafting apart from furniture i play solo and i bloody love it boyo just like your content 😎👌

I am still 36h into it, but I waited until october 8th to purchase it because I'm old enough to know better... until I don't and I get bent with some crap launch. Fortunately, I had friends doing the probing for me and enjoying the waiting simulator so I didn't have to. So far the experience has been silky smooth. It runs well, I haven't waited a single time and it hasn't crashed. It also gives me good DaoC vibes, and that's a game that had me hooked for years. We'll see what's at the end of the level grind. Hopefully it's not The Division 2. Top notch video as usual!
Thank you Inigo. For what its worth the queues have started to clear up for me too now. I think they vastly underestimated the demand in the EU. In the winter months the whole of Scandinavia gets very cold, and they love their MMOs. I think the launch date was timed pretty well to catch the start of that "indoor-migration". I enjoy new world but 50 hours in, I can see the inevitable boredom coming. I'd say wait at least a year before playing. By then this game will either die out or be awesome.
So New World has improved a lot since release, and I've been there since beta. It still has plenty of issues, most of them technical. It is, however, a beautiful game, and the developers consistently improve the game and add content, and so far that has all been free since the game has no subscription and currently no DLC. As far as I can tell even the major expansion zone, Brimstone Sands may be free. I am not ashamed to say that New World is my favorite mmo and I believe in its future success. With that said, hilarious review as always.
Which is understandable as GreedFall really is a fun game. I wouldn’t say it is a masterpiece, but it was very much worth a play through. I may even do a second run through this winter. I think Spiders has been a bit of a sleeper studio, slowly but surely improving. They made great strides since Elex.
This has me intrigued, but I have a 3070TI and now I'm fuckin' paranoid that a game is gonna brick my GPU. I didn't wait three hours outside of a Best Buy for a chance to buy it just see it fried from a new game, lmao
Go to JayzTwoCents and watch his selection of videos on it mate. He does some bench testing theory crafts the issue. The TLDR is that whatever you do with your software, somehow the game still manages to cause big spikes in power consumption. I would be very cautious until something is done about resolving the issue Justin.

as a fellow player of New World(giving my self legitimacy here) , I 100% agree, and if I might add on launch if/ when you got in the game and it stopped crashing due to over pop it ran surprisingly smoothly, coming rom a background of WoW expansions, and being used to sh!t braking around me at launch, i can safely say it ran quite well, no major stuff to stop my play sessions. I have high hopes for the game, I've yet to cap, due to getting addicted to the fishing mini-game that is almost as good as the one in Red Dead 2, that was my best video game fishing experience, and the fact that I'm a crafter at heart, so when faced with 20 crafting and gathering professions, you know I had to cap them, Still at it, crafting and gathering is a legit way to level just slightly slower( for those wondering). All in All NW is decent, has flaws and still a fair few bugs, but it's a fun distraction that keeps my mind away from reality for a few hours a day. Would be grate if they added the possibility to store item appearances for use like they do with the store items, just so I can wear the many types of tri horn hats I find but have Sh!t stats.
Why would you use dedicated servers when the gamers have more than enough compute power and bandwidth to also process dog food orders and do some mining when cueing or idling on a 3090.

A better question to ask is why the graphics card doesn't shut down when it reaches unsafe temperatures and then refuses to restart for a while. that is better than it catching fire - imagine someone fell asleep playing and it started a fire ! Not at all good.
Yeah I think this situation will start some serious discussions about software, hardware and legal disclaimers in video games. From what Ive been able to figure out, apparently badly written software can entirely bypass other checks and measures. The frame limiter in-game did not work (something that I have witnessed before) and the game can also bypass other software and firmware limits on the cards. According to JayzTwoCents this has occurred many times before, but this time its catastrophic, high profile, and affected a lot of people at the same time. I always thought it was strange how a couple of years ago, I noticed lots of publishers inserting hardware waivers in their EULAs. Clearly somebody got wind of the potential problem. That said, Im not sure its an enforceable contract. As always. Thanks for watching mate.

It looks like someone played GreedFall, thought that it was a shame that it was single player only then made steps to amend that.
Which is understandable as GreedFall really is a fun game. I wouldn’t say it is a masterpiece, but it was very much worth a play through. I may even do a second run through this winter. I think Spiders has been a bit of a sleeper studio, slowly but surely improving. They made great strides since Elex.

This has me intrigued, but I have a 3070TI and now I'm fuckin' paranoid that a game is gonna brick my GPU. I didn't wait three hours outside of a Best Buy for a chance to buy it just see it fried from a new game, lmao
Go to JayzTwoCents and watch his selection of videos on it mate. He does some bench testing theory crafts the issue. The TLDR is that whatever you do with your software, somehow the game still manages to cause big spikes in power consumption. I would be very cautious until something is done about resolving the issue Justin.

as a fellow player of New World(giving my self legitimacy here) , I 100% agree, and if I might add on launch if/ when you got in the game and it stopped crashing due to over pop it ran surprisingly smoothly, coming rom a background of WoW expansions, and being used to sh!t braking around me at launch, i can safely say it ran quite well, no major stuff to stop my play sessions.
I have high hopes for the game, I've yet to cap, due to getting addicted to the fishing mini-game that is almost as good as the one in Red Dead 2, that was my best video game fishing experience, and the fact that I'm a crafter at heart, so when faced with 20 crafting and gathering professions, you know I had to cap them, Still at it, crafting and gathering is a legit way to level just slightly slower( for those wondering).
All in All NW is decent, has flaws and still a fair few bugs, but it's a fun distraction that keeps my mind away from reality for a few hours a day.
Would be grate if they added the possibility to store item appearances for use like they do with the store items, just so I can wear the many types of tri horn hats I find but have Sh!t stats.
Why would you use dedicated servers when the gamers have more than enough compute power and bandwidth to also process dog food orders and do some mining when cueing or idling on a 3090.

This is, as all the other modern MMO's... a Disneyland after Dark Theme Park... Where is the Fun? The Excitement? A better question to ask is why the graphics card doesn't shut down when it reaches unsafe temperatures and then refuses to restart for a while. that is better than it catching fire - imagine someone fell asleep playing and it started a fire !

Yeah I think this situation will start some serious discussions about software, hardware and legal disclaimers in video games. From what Ive been able to figure out, apparently badly written software can entirely bypass other checks and measures. The frame limiter in-game did not work (something that I have witnessed before) and the game can also bypass other software and firmware limits on the cards. According to JayzTwoCents this has occurred many times before, but this time its catastrophic, high profile, and affected a lot of people at the same time.
I always thought it was strange how a couple of years ago, I noticed lots of publishers inserting hardware waivers in their EULAs. Clearly somebody got wind of the potential problem. That said, Im not sure its an enforceable contract.

Maybe works a treat with my ole rx 480 (frame limited in radeon 'chill' software) but it blows up rtx 3080 / 3090's.

@11:30: And now we have mods that allow Fallout4 and Skyrim to be played in coop on a server you host yourself which means full control. Funny that a bunch of hobbyists can turn single-player only games into coop games but big companies fuck it up most of the time.
