This is lovely, David! Do the resonance plates actually make a difference in your tone? I was thinking of buying them myself.

Hi!! In my case the LeFreque sound bridge helps to make my tone more full,
rounded, and deeper, AND more in-tune. I am sold on them. I would
suggest that you try them BEFORE you buy them. Most places will take a
credit card number and let you have them for a trial period. Good luck!!! David

I’m going into 8th grade this year, and this is one of the solos my band teacher said I could do for my NYSSMA solo (look it up!) this year as a level 4. He’s never taught this song before, so being able to hear it played how it should be has been really helpful for me! Thank you!

Hi!! Great solo to perform! Believe it or not all professional flutists play with their teeth slightly separated (about a little pinky width). Just think of a little string attached to your bottom jaw. And then you slightly pull your jaw open with your lips together (like chewing gum). You can practice this in front of a mirror. You can also experiment to see if your embouchure is too tight. Try relaxing your mouth just a little hair as your play a tone. Kind of play with it playing a constant tone while you relax and tighten your embouchure. Some where in there will be your "sweet" spot for your best sound. And lastly always take your breadth from your diaphragm (your tummy) and as you play push from your tummy-not your chest. Good luck!!! DK
