  • WHY CAR MAKES WHINING NOISE, ENGINE WHINE NOISE
    If your car makes whining noise coming from the engine and you want to see what could possibly cause engine whine noise on your car we will demonstrate that in this video today. Many things could easily cause engine noise whine on a car. By removing the serpentine belt and starting the car for only a few seconds, otherwise we can overheat the engine, we found that the engine whine noise was gone. So the engine whine was coming from one of the accessories driven by the serpentine belt or tensioner and idler pulley. In our case when we spun the belt idler pulley it felt good and not noise bu under load it was extremely noise. Hopefully the video will be helpful to any of you that want to find engine noise, engine whine on a car.

    Insightful video but once you removed the belt how did you determine what exactly the issue was? How did you know which pulley was bad? I really don't want to have to replace EVERYTHING.

    I hear this whining noise for 2 years now. I was told by mechanics it is coming from transmission, i bought the new one still the noise is there, they said ooh no it must be front wheel bearing, i bought the new one but still the whine is there, they told me is idler pulley, i changed it still there, they said ooh it must be compressor bearing, i changed but still it whines. Now they are telling it must be a alternator bearing. These noises crazy.

      They were pulling your leg to make money from you. It was obviously NOT the transmission. And for sure, and didn't fix it. Whenever I heard that noise in any of my cars, its the power steering. Another way to "test" is that it screams louder when you turn. Check the level, if low - top off on the level indicator with more PS fluid. $6.

    My TOYOTA Voxy 2010 model makes the same sound in the morning or after starting the vehicle after its been off for several hours. The sound will stop after driving like 2 to 3 Kms. This happened after we changed ATF fluid. We changed the ATF since I've been having a sudden jerking like start while on traffic or when you engage drive for Parking mode. Could it be a transmission issue?

    • @terrapinflyer273
      @terrapinflyer273 7 месяцев назад +2

      Sounds like it to me. I'm very far from a mechanic, but my '00 Odyssey lurched forward any time it shifted from 2nd to 3rd or 3rd to 4th gear. I stupidly put generic transmission fluid in it and never got it changed due to physical trauma circumstances, and while I was on bed rest my dad and brother wouldn't listen to me about having it taken in to be changed with genuine Honda trans fluid.
      The fluid I put in was safe according to the manual, but explicitly stated that it would need to be replaced with genuine Honda fluid after a specified timeframe. So the vehicle basically went to sh*t. I surely wasn't going to spend $2000+ on a new transmission.
      However, someone told me the issue could be caused by faulty brake boosters also. Not sure how much truth there is to what he suspected though. And I never did get a proper diagnosis on my issue either. But, since I put that generic fluid in there - logical assumption I think.
      Since you changed your ATF, I would assume the change in viscosity may have caused your transmission to go t*ts up. Always a gamble changing the ATF if it isn't changed on a regular basis. Without all the grit caused by wear and tear in the fluid, once you change it and that grit goes missing, it can cause the gears to slip.

    • @svmei
      @svmei Год назад +1

      @@sknuts2783 In my case it's coming from the manifold catalytic converter, I've checked everything else and it's probably that, or there's a small chance it might be coming from the engine, I've had this noise for months now, car drives perfectly fine otherwise. So I'm just waiting for either something to go bad or until I get some money to check the headers/cats.

      its easy bro as the video says its one of the pulleys, according to your describing it must be the "ac compressor pulley" this device is obviously from its name only, we know its the problem + this thing is a little "expensive" soo first maybe try to some "suitable lubrication" on the pulley? or maybe there are some guy videos around the internet know better than me but nothing changes it gonna be the "ac compressor pulley" trust me bro, I'm not sure if things will get worse if not fixed or not soo you need a trustworthy guy to tell you if to change the whole "ac compressor pulley" or not.

    • @Mr_potato-ds7vx
      @Mr_potato-ds7vx 4 месяца назад

      maybe you can change the pulley alone to save some cash but i'm not sure if its gonna fix the problem
