This is really good punchy song. Love the fact that even after all these years Mr Big are blessing us with some awesome songs looking forward to the entire album 🤙🤙
Very unexpected from these guys. 1-4-5 blues based structure and the main riff is like a cross between Manic Depression and Whipping Post. Interesting lyric and melody flow. However, it’s still different enough to be awesome! Glad to see them still kicking it!
Can honestly say, it's one of those bands that never changes and stays true to themselves. Great tune and musically they are just great musicians. Ten will be cool AF
Favourite track they've put out since the What if... record. Nice classic rock / blues band feel with good energy, unlike the last record Paul's guitar doesn't seem to have been hidden under a bunch of duvets it's clear and sounds fantastic same goes for the entire mix. Hoping the rest of the album is a cracker.
I love this new track. I look forward to the new album in July. This track reminds me of some Hendrix-"Manic Depression." I wish they could tour behind this new album too.
Good Luck Trying Is An Absolutely Awesome Great Outstanding Straight Up Kick Ass Rock N Roll Song By Mr.Big And Totally Rocks This Song Completely Kicks Major Ass And Needs To Be Fully Cranked Up All The Way To Full Maximum Volume. 🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
Definitely a tune meant to impress other musicians and not so much connect with the general public. That said, they are all very talented as usual. #TakeCover
With all due respect, we're in 2024, not the '70s! Where is the evolution, where is the creative boldness, where is the progress in sound?! Even with big names like Billy Sheehan and Paul Gilbert, their world-class musicianship can't save mediocre compositions and production...
@@PaboritongAwitinniBoyKarne17 You should not presume anything negative about someone just because they expressed a different opinion from yours. Show respect to be respected!
In music there's room for everything, every taste. If you want to listen to music that is constantly evolving, every album is different, you can, there are plenty of bands out there following that path. If your thing is to keep listening to music that are more true to their roots, you also got it, as we can see here on this amazing new release by Mr Big. It's a matter of choice, you can also choose to enjoy and respect both worlds (that's where I usually find myself). But in my opinion, what you should try to avoid is to tell bands or musicians what they should or shouldn't do. Respectfully, just let them be and do their thing and then decide if you want to press play or not. Just saying...
@@ThalesPosella Thanks for your comment in good spirit! Let's dive a little deeper. My comment is based on reasoned arguments. Let me give you two examples (two songs) of musical evolution: First, Extreme's "Rise", released a year ago. Extreme is a band formed back in 1985 (for context, Mr. Big was formed in 1988). Second, Nightwish's "Perfume Of The Timeless", released two days ago. Nightwish is a band formed in 1996. In both cases, we see a genuine interest in high-class composition and artistic messaging. I'm not a hater; I'm a musician looking for inspiration and fair treatment from the world-class artists we all respect. When you're at the level of Billy Sheehan and Paul Gilbert, the expectations are huge, and you need to live up to them.
@@respiromedia Yes, I understand that there are amazing and refreshing new music being released by some "old" bands, and I myself loved the Six album by Extreme. But I think you touched some of the roots of this problem, in my view. I think the problem lies within the realm of "expectations". Lots of musicians few enormous pressure while recording subsequent albums because they feel they will have to deal with people "expecting them to live up with their own expectations", and honestly I think this is not good for the music world. I feel like this can go wrong in a couple of ways. Firstly, if the artist deviates too much from their "roots" or "last album", they will have to face a myriad of fans who will say stuff like "they changed too much" or they "are a sell out", "bla bla bla". On the other hand, if the artists stay too much true to their roots, there will be a bunch of people who will judge it as "not innovative" or say things like "where's the creative boldness?", like you did here. In my opinion this is not good, and it can make artists make decisions that are not all for the good of the art itself but will start to make practical decisions because they are afraid to lose their fan base and money along with it. The way I see it, this is totally avoidable... if only us (the fans) would just dial down the judge inside and just let the artist do what they feel like doing at that moment in time and try to respect it as much as we can, and if we are lucky, enjoy the content that they want to produce.
a song that is very different from previous songs. This song presents drumming that cuts a lot of beats. not easy to digest, I see it as the next expression of the members who are bored with mediocre songs
IIMPRESSIVE Performace, incredible drums, amazing musicians, they are super uber tight, but the song is Meh and Eric sounds weird, he lost all his amazing style here... but appreciate that they put a great effort and work making this great performance
Not everyone’s voice ages the same. Even great voices are known to change with age. Annie Lennox said she noticed when her voice changed at 50. Eric’s 63 and doesn’t have the range of a 30 year old kid anymore. It is what it is. At least they’re still together and able to play and create.
@@ItsVictoriaG Well I’ve said similar stuff a million times so that’s obvious. Nobody expects an older guy to remain 20 forever. However if you’re going to put out music, people can comment. That’s all. And his voice was always a tad limited. But here it sounds rather shaky and tight. Yes happy they are still playing, but since when do you listen to music just because it’s been made? No shame on aging but…
@@toddrorick117 Completely understand your point about wanting to hear a good product and not excusing someone for putting out a subpar product just because you like their previous work. I completely get it. I guess I’m too saccharine and sentimental because I think of all the singers I truly loved that totally lost their voice from not taking care of it before they died: Eddie Kendricks, Whitney Houston… at least Mr. Big is still here and capable of performing. I can listen to this track and appreciate it for what it is, and remember that Eric Martin himself said in a podcast interview, “the first four Mr. Big albums got my voice in its prime.” Even he’s fully aware of his limits. And he completely lost his voice for a couple weeks right after they recorded the album while they were touring the UK. (Also - Hall & Oates produced the record Ruffin & Kendrick shortly before Eddie Kendricks died. Eddie’s voice was practically gone. Gone, gone. Performing on one lung with lung cancer gone. but Darryl Hall is a post-production magician and somehow pulled something together on the song I Couldn’t Believe It. Hall should’ve gotten an award for that.) Not everyone’s voice ages like Smokey Robinson or Frankie Valli’s. I saw Smokey Robinson in February 2020 and he still has the same range and timbre as he did on his records. It defies the laws of aging and entropy. Felt very lucky to get to listen to Smokey at 80 years old and be in awe of his voice, just like the first time I heard him. It’s a rare magic.
Ripoff of "Manic Depression" riff, but not nearly as bad or bland as I expected. Wish you could hear Sheehan more...he's like a buried buzz with no midrange thickness. And Eric sounds like he gargles Liquid Plumber.
You’re either gonna love this or you gonna hate it. And I think that’s cool. What I don’t get is why the video? I think the song is actually kind of cool. The way the vocals is doing one thing and the whole band is doing the other thing, but then they got this horrible video. I would never wanna watch this more than once. I could watch Paul and Billy play all day. The appeal is there and watching their fingers.
I am Also a Drummer!
This Kicks Ass! I am Very Much Impressed!
Hiring Nick was the Best Decision! Nick is Great!
This Song is FANTASTIC!
❤
Mr. Big still one of the greatest bands. Incredible performance now with Nick. Thank you guys for giving such great music. God bless Pat.
I'm glad to see that MR Big are still putting out good music these days.
Last album they're gonna do though! Amazing stuff nonetheless. We got TEN albums to dig through
Nick is the right drummer for Mr. Big
all the fukkin way

I wouldn't expect anything less from the band....kick ass high energy rock tune
MR.BIG is back!! Love it!!
Freak u Bill
I sure miss Pat!!! God bless ya Pat you were one of the greatest!
Killer groove. Nick rules
NDV is an inspired addition!
big is back one of my fav rock band in late 80’s
Hendrix vibes, Manic Depression. Very good stuff.
Exactly what I was thinking.
I totally agree with you!
Definitely
I love this and especially the playing of Paul and Billy together……….awesome
Great stuff! Reminds me of Chickenfoot. I can hear Paul and Billy having fun here
Riffs and riffs and riffs! Awesome stuff.
Awesome! I've been a fan since their 1st album.
I - from their 2. album but in Poland, we didn't have much access to good music😁
What a bounch of awesome musicians in this band. Loved it.

Great Band

I like it! Nice switch up on a blues jam
Yes!! Thank you guys for keep on making new great music! Love you!
Saw them open twice for Rush, and then at Baltimore's legendary Hammerjacks for Lean Into It. Great memories!
And that says what about the song itself?
Just on their last tour... That's BS!!! I need another tour to enjoy this new music.... I know it is their last tour but I luv This.
This will take me a few listens 😮 Certainly, not what I was expecting. Definitely going back to the 'Get over It' sound.
Mr. Big is ALIVE & WELL!!!!!!!😃Sounds GREAT!!!!!!!👍🏻ROCK ON!!!!!!!🤘🏻🤙🏻✌🏻

I dig it. Better than a lot of new music from other groups that are dropping tracks. IMO
Just saw them in Roseville 5-18-2024 and they sounded so damn good.
Thank you, Nick
So, Mr. Big is Not Retired?? Can we Expect to See Some Shows in the States in the Future?
Sounds like some progressive to me especially drumbeats.. but still rooted in hard rock with some blues
fantastic
If you're from Ontario they have a concert on May 25,2024 in Meridian Hall, Toronto. Get tour tickets now

Eric sure does.
Absolutely
Awesome pure rock n roll, Mr. Big does not disappoint 🤘
Permainan Drum sangat keren👍👍👍
Amazing!
2024 and still Mr. BIG rocks...
Excellent. 😎👍
I think of it as a mixture of blues and art rock.
Delicious!
yeeeeeessssss🤘🤘🤘
Has a lot of Blues licks.
Great song! The blues rules.
Wooooooho!!!!!! Big!!!!!!
nice one!
I love it!!
Wow. Organized chaos. Yay.
Too bad this song are from the so called their final album , because i like Mr. BIG since 1991 and never bored listening to all their albums 😔

Getting Manic Depression vibes here which kinda permeates too much of what could have been great.
I dig it tho.
If Nick can shadow Pat more than less, the album should be fantastic!
Huge fan of Mr. Big and Eric Martin even more so. I don't like this at all, boring, you guys are better than this.
I agree - I would never choose this song as a promo 😕
hade sound na euy 🔥
Why does it say REO Speedwagon in the description ?

Wonder why they posted this as reo speedwagon when it's Mr big
I'm sure its fun to play ...
Again a déception I think, like all these old bands who want still exist
I though this was going to be "Detroit Rock City"......
Ouch
Certainly not the way Eric sings in Avantasia, funky Martin lol😂😂
This song is very inspired by JIMI HENDRIX Manic Depression !
Why they put Jimmy Hendrix Manic depression beat on that one? Wrong
Very Hendrix manic depression.
Missing a hook

Nunca han sido de mis favoritos, mucha superbanda pero nunca ha triunfado
Hombre, eso es algo incierto.

Судя по этой песне я бы эту группу не слушал вообще, хотя у них и раньше ничего путного не было!
It's not good enough for such a Big band.
Drums are a bit too busy for me

They wouldn't care a bit about you 😂😂
The problem is spending so little time composing and recording the album that the songs come out mediocre.
Hope not
