Do you have any recommendations or resources for learning how to draw and sketch out the characters, potentially step by step?
I've wanted to learn blender forever but the idea of juggling so many skills and spending years working on them is kinda daunting. Nevertheless giving it my best shot and very appreciative that resources such as this exist, so thanks a ton!
Hopefully the next few videos will help to demystify a lot of the hurdles!

Loved your original series for modelling for animation from a few years back and was recently thinking about working through it again for practice and then i saw this pop up.

Probs cos it’s been out for just over a week and I’m still horrible at sharing everywhere I can :p.
This just means I need to practice my art more. I'd certainly like to bring my ideas to life in Blender. I think I do have a process down for how I build up my drawings (at least for the hero drawing). I start off traditional pencil and paper before scanning it and digitally inking and coloring the piece.
That's a great method. Never underestimate the power of a pencil on paper

RN I just reuse the same hand I cobbled together as a beginner years ago whenever I retopo a sculpt. Same with ears. They are such pains.

Are you using a drawing pad?
Yep - i use an XP-Pen Artist Pro 16 (gen 2). But you can use any drawing tablet device
