Great riding in some nice weather! You'll be please to know that there are public dig days being organised for mid May and start of June getting the trails ready for a summer of riding. Also for easier trails, try Birnam Hill, particularly the three flow trails above the train station. We've been working hard to get them clear of fallen trees and establish diversions! Easier trails also include Hush Hush, Otters Pocket, Scooby Doo, Dalmarnock Descent, Mutt House, Doggy, Sophia and PGL so easily a full day for intermediate riders but check trailforks for up to date info on any closures. Always worth popping into Progression Bikes for local knowledge and advice too. Enjoy and have fun!
Thanks, it was a super weekend! We’re not there often but always enjoy it when we do visit. Really good info, thanks for commenting! I’ve pinned the comment so it can be useful to anyone watching the vlog. It can be hard on a first visit to know the easier trails and link them up so some good trails/advice there!
@@LauraJaneWeeTamMTBGreat stuff. Give me a shout next time you are up, or want to plan a trip and we can link up some of those trails. I've got the bike shop (Progression Bikes) and help run the Tayside Trails Association.
thanks! We're pretty familiar with the hills directly around Dunkeld but keen to venture over and explore Dalmarnock sometime - rode the descent trail but heard there are lots more good trails in there! May take you up on that :)
Ah that’s a shame. Problem is there are so many good spots in Scotland now it’s hard to choose! Definitely worth a stop next time! Good excuse for another trip 😉
I love Dunkeld. So many fantastic trails and spectacular views too. Ive not done the trails at the mast yet, dont think Ive the skill at the moment. Great seeing you guys flying down them. Great video as always. 🤙😃
Absolutely. There's such a variety of trails. Glad the vid gives an idea of what to expect from the mast - one of those locations that always had a bit of a rep. Thanks!
I’ve never liked the mast trails personally. Especially in the summer when really overgrown. It’s like a game of Russian roulette or when the next drop or obstacle is coming
That actually brings back memories of sketchy summer rides there haha. Bit too much risk when it's like that. They are running really well now though - probably best in spring or autumn then!

Yep here you go. This is our Strava for just doing this mast side strava.app.link/4pask6y8HKb
in life there is a point where difficulty crushes joy , unless of course you are a masochist .
How do you not get helmet hair??? 😯
Haha trust me I do 😂 might have got lucky here 😅
Oh no! My last time in scotland I passed dunkeld on my way up north without knowing there were such nice trails😢…Need to come back asap

Cheers! It seems not 😢 haha but hoping for a decent summer!
Is that recent? Those trails look way drier than Calderdale right now!
Yep the weekend just there. Haha we went in expecting the opposite and it was a nice surprise! Must drain well as they’re steep and rocky
@@LauraJaneWeeTamMTB wow, lucky you two!
We are heading up that way in the camper next week, fingers crossed 🙏
Love it chunky and tight 😍
Yep so good!!
Glorious natural trails 😍
some of our favourites in Scotland!
Boring
And surprise, others didn’t find it boring. No one is making you watch it 😉
I never find watching people live life to the full boring.
Love these sort of trails, techy and grooty!
same, our ideal style of trails!
