There was just a Demo for a game about this called "Midnight Ramen". You run a small ramen stand only open in the late hours of the night for weary travelers. Pretty good writing and engaging enough gameplay. Think of it like Coffee Talk and you will have a great time.

We went to visit a friend from college in Kobe recently. He’s from there. After going out for drinks, he took my husband to tampopo while they were drunk. My husband said it was his favourite ramen in Japan but he had no idea what it was called or where it was after. I just showed him this and he was like “that’s the place!” Saving this for when we go back again!
I stayed at a hotel in Saijo that would serve Ramen from 9 pm until midnight, free! They also had free breakfast. Tasty late night snack. Near the train station was an Izakya style restaurant that opened at 3PM, I think, and closed at 4 or 5 AM. Japan business trips were always my favorite. Natural outdoor onsen... so relaxing! My trips would sometimes last 7 weeks.
That might be a coincidence now, but there is a movie called "Tampopo" and it is about a truck driver who wants to help a woman named Tampopo to improve her Ramen and get her business running. It is a really nice movie in my opinion!

I once worked at a donut shop that had this philosophy. Opened at 1 am, closed at 3 pm. Went by old school philosophy of cash only (this was in 2014-15), and “if you don’t have cash on you, take the food and come back later” and my personal favorite, “pay your staff minimum wage AND let them get tips.” Single simple donuts were $0.75 and a “special” donut or a pastry was $0.85, and a dozen was $7.75 or $8.85. We also were located on the outskirts of a college campus, so we got all the drunk kids and their friends, plus the middle of the night crammers. Fun fact: drunk people and their friends were always my best tippers, usually it was the friend saying “sorry about this guy” and putting money in the jar. By far the best job I ever had.
I dunno if theater folk in Japan are like the ones in America with a desperate need for food open late at night, but if they are I hope all the theater kids learn about this place so they can have a good meal after working hard
Sometimes watching your videos is like going on a sidequest in Yakuza: Like a Dragon but there's a delicious meal at the end instead of a jump scare which is what I always expect for no reason.
