Literally every single time! It seems no other streamer is getting it either. Wheels spinning, on a slope, with a load and they don't engage low gear! Why?
You need to use your diff lock when in low gear please like so he will see

he's saying go in low gear when traversing through heavy mud/snow. it has auto diff lock which will just plow through all that. i was a little triggered when he was in auto just digging himself deeper in the mud.

Royal BM17 is the best truck IMO in Michigan/Alaska. Used it until I got rank 24 and got the Optimus Prime (Derry Longhorn). Haven’t been to Russia yet. I’m a completionist and I’ve been helping grind buddies up. Looking forward to Russia.
Brandon Carr When you get to Russia, be sure to find the Tayga truck. It’s not far from the garage.

The only upgrades for the Pacific P16 are the engine, exhaust, and snorkel. The engine upgrades are on Michigan the rest are on Alaska

Trev if you are using the low gears, TURN ON the Diff lock. It makes a world of difference.
However make sure to go back to auto on paved roads and flat surfaces otherwise the Diff lock will cause damage to the transmission box.

When you’re in low gear press triangle and it’ll lock your differential which will give you more traction

Diff lock would help so much in the rough patches with low gear.

What gets me through these tough jobs solo is the extended winch. Definitely buy that upgrade if you can. Can’t count how many times it helped out of being stuck. It’s worth the large sum of money to get!

Hey Trev. When climbing a hill and getting stuck. Go into low plus and activate diff lock. It will help you get up the hill.

Low-high is so you can keep the locker on and have some speed.

Here I am in 2022 watching this series for the 5th time. I wish Trev made made videos on this games there has been so much dlc. Take the original snow runner and now there’s more than double the amount been added to the game. And I’m putting this comment in every video in this series

For anyone interested the p16 was powered either by a Detroit 12v71 or 16v71... Both engines sound epic
Hi Trevor the only reason why you were struggling was because you didn't have the V12, Advanced Special Gearbox, and the Wedge snorkel makes it near unstoppable. My favorite truck in my second play through went immediate from the first garage to Drummond island with Ck1500 to get Pacific P16 I couldn't believe that sold it my first because it didn't have AWD.

Are you sure it's new enough to have device that would redirect some of hot air from engine compartment to cab?
After you get your first 8x8 you will forget this truck. Don't get too attached.
Point of low+ is that it can go faster than on low. So there's no point in putting it in low+ if you you're not going to use it.
You apparently don't even know when to use it so why even bother upgrading gearbox?
Utilize low gear by L1 and moving your thumb stick left in areas you get bogged down in, and I prefer the p12, it's similar to the p16 but has a thinner stance, more stuff you can put on the back, and awd

The p-16 was a quarry or logging truck made simply for working on they make Tons of power. They hauled red wood trees the same size as them most on the time
Use low gear when your getting bogged down and high gear on flat solid roads to go fast
Please use diff lock in paystar in muddy surfaces.

You can go get the ANK MK38 in Alaska , Pedro Bay . Offroad truck , it's easy to flip , drinks so much fuel but it's much better than the Paystar if you're careful with it .

The trailer winch will help you so much by pulling it sideways around corners and when you cant reach a tree use the back winch attach it near the front to pull you forward
Put it in low gear when you are stuck in mud or climbing hill
You never know until you use that

Going to get this truck tomorrow. Finding broken down trucks and recovering mission trucks which gives it to you sometimes is easiest way to make money. But getting to level 7 is a lot of help cause you can get mud tires for scouts and level 8 gets you all terrain for some trucks

You really gotta start using that LOW GEAR
Trev you gotta use the low gear if you go to the muddy areas, otherwise you will get stuck easily if you don't use low gear.

The heavy trucks aren’t meant to be off road vehicles (unless you are the CAT, or that one Russian heaven truck) they are for specific types of cargo, mainly the special cargo for oil rigs and any other super massive cargo, as you see in this episode. They are also good for leading trains of cargo, or expedition caravans not unlike the one from last episode

On the international, use the diff lock in the low gear, it makes it a lot more easy.
It's actually called Low 1 an Low 2 as it splits the low gear into 2
Trev, it says low + and low - in the bottom right corner. I know that a million people have probably pointed this out, or maybe you figured it out yourself. Just figured I would say so.
