Whenever a book like Da Vinci Code gets published it should give Catholics a very good reason to make an effort to learn the Catechism so that they can see all of the errors that are written in a book like this.
To me, Saint Mary Magdalene is the greatest conversion story in the Bible. She's been referred to as, "The Apostle to the Apostles." Her feast day is this Saturday, July22. I intend to light a candle in honor of Her.

I agree and and I pray that you will know forgiveness also that when some will commit terrible acts of evil in any religion and church that the pure in heart and soul will pray for God’s grace and forgiveness for them but that they will come to know the negative consequences for those actions so that they may not hurt themselves and others and that they can really realize what they have done and have the chance to turn back to Christ and know how much God truly loves all of us. Hello Father Chris Star they recently did discover under the ground a cavity below be where Jesus had died on the cross and they believe that they found a preserved drop of Christ's blood and they took it to a pathologist to have it looked under a microscope and it only showed the female Mary's line of the blood. Really appreciated your candid thoughts on marriage and celibacy. My BFF and I have had discussions over this, well, not your personal celibacy, she along with many folks believe that priests should be married, they question the perpetual virginity of Mary as well. I have a special fondness for St. Mary Magdalene as one of “my” saints, and love that you can summarize everything so well with references to the scriptures. 1 Corinthians 32-34 read to your friend. Not the bible verse but my opinion A person cannot have two masters. If the person cannot contain his/her lust then get married. For a father is also a teacher and a disciple but he cannot make his family his second priority for it is his reaponsibility before his God. If the family comes first then the flock loses its shepherd. The shepherd prioritize the flock.
I was engaged to a Lutheran who a few months before he proposed, enrolled in Lutheran seminary for a semester. At first, I thought maybe God was going to lead him home to the Church, but instead he talked about becoming a part time pastor or deacon. In his words, “I know they won’t let me be a full time pastor cause you’re obviously gonna stay Catholic.” It was a gut punch to me that despite knowing my views on what being part of the clergy meant and discussions how I would not want my family’s life to be put on display to a Lutheran congregation, he still felt that calling. He always said “You won’t be on display,” but it’s obvious us and our kids would, especially since I was not gonna convert and wanted to raise them Catholic. It wasn’t that sole reason that I broke up with him, but it helped clear up the doubts I had about marrying him. It may work in the Eastern Church and Deacon families handle it pretty well, but I knew in my heart I would dislike sharing my spouse with anyone, including other members, while my kids grew up.
@@jendoe9436 in Catholic there is a certain way for Married people to be blessed like priest or nuns but not as committed as them for they shepherd the flock. It is called the THIRD ORDER. I recently knew this you served God and do the routines of priest and nuns except their special right or consecration. You can search it up the net its a bit complicated for me.

In July of 2021, the Catholic Church decreed that the two Mary's are different persons; they're not the same. We now celebrate the feast day of Mary of Bethany, sister to Martha and Lazarus, as July 29th. Mary Magdalene's feast day is July 22nd. This video came out about the same time as that decree, perhaps before it. Fr. Chris Alar may not have known about the decree when he did this video.

I was confirmed this year taking Mary Magdalene as my saint. Being a recovering addict of meth and the needle, having been possessed and brought back to the faith, I love Jesus so much and relate to her because of my afflictions. I agree and and I pray that you will know forgiveness also that when some will commit terrible acts of evil in any religion and church that the pure in heart and soul will pray for God’s grace and forgiveness for them but that they will come to know the negative consequences for those actions so that they may not hurt themselves and others and that they can really realize what they have done and have the chance to turn back to Christ and know how much God truly loves all of us. I pray for all that we do not harbor resentment for those who may be deceived and misguided but rather carry compassion and forgiveness for ourselves and others who are imperfect because their was only one perfect person who ever walked this earth and that is our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. Hello Father Chris Star they recently did discover under the ground a cavity below be where Jesus had died on the cross and they believe that they found a preserved drop of Christ's blood and they took it to a pathologist to have it looked under a microscope and it only showed the female Mary's line of the blood. Do you know what are they going to do with this blood?

Really appreciated your candid thoughts on marriage and celibacy. My BFF and I have had discussions over this, well, not your personal celibacy, she along with many folks believe that priests should be married, they question the perpetual virginity of Mary as well. I have a special fondness for St. Mary Magdalene as one of “my” saints, and love that you can summarize everything so well with references to the scriptures. Now I only wish I could remember a fragment of them when these sorts of things arise in conversations, lol. God bless you, these talks get better every week.

1 Corinthians 32-34 read to your friend. Not the bible verse but my opinion A person cannot have two masters. If the person cannot contain his/her lust then get married. For a father is also a teacher and a disciple but he cannot make his family his second priority for it is his reaponsibility before his God. If the family comes first then the flock loses its shepherd. The shepherd prioritize the flock.
I was engaged to a Lutheran who a few months before he proposed, enrolled in Lutheran seminary for a semester. At first, I thought maybe God was going to lead him home to the Church, but instead he talked about becoming a part time pastor or deacon.
In his words, “I know they won’t let me be a full time pastor cause you’re obviously gonna stay Catholic.” It was a gut punch to me that despite knowing my views on what being part of the clergy meant and discussions how I would not want my family’s life to be put on display to a Lutheran congregation, he still felt that calling. He always said “You won’t be on display,” but it’s obvious us and our kids would, especially since I was not gonna convert and wanted to raise them Catholic.
It wasn’t that sole reason that I broke up with him, but it helped clear up the doubts I had about marrying him. It may work in the Eastern Church and Deacon families handle it pretty well, but I knew in my heart I would dislike sharing my spouse with anyone, including other members, while my kids grew up.
@@jendoe9436 in Catholic there is a certain way for Married people to be blessed like priest or nuns but not as committed as them for they shepherd the flock. It is called the THIRD ORDER. I recently knew this you served God and do the routines of priest and nuns except their special right or consecration. You can search it up the net its a bit complicated for me.

In July of 2021, the Catholic Church decreed that the two Mary's are different persons; they're not the same. We now celebrate the feast day of Mary of Bethany, sister to Martha and Lazarus, as July 29th. Mary Magdalene's feast day is July 22nd.
This video came out about the same time as that decree, perhaps before it. Fr. Chris Alar may not have known about the decree when he did this video.

I was confirmed this year taking Mary Magdalene as my saint. Being a recovering addict of meth and the needle, having been possessed and brought back to the faith, I love Jesus so much and relate to her because of my afflictions. Jesus delivered me Dec 13 2019. I haven’t craved doing drugs since that day. HE left the 99 for me, a sinner. My faith continues to deepen and I know this world has a chance because if I could be saved, so can ANYONE 💜💜💜 God bless you!
