We had booked toy train from Udagamandalam to Coonoor(06139) which departures at 9.00
Additionally there are 3 trains at 12.15, 14.00, 17.30

The highlighted route is ooty mettupalayam route. Takes around 4 hrs slowly, but scenic worth with many tunnels and bridges. Ooty coonoor route is 1 hour travel. Not much of that compared to the first. Irctc last minute bookings get cancelled often. There will be tickets quoto available offline also. If needed go to the station atleast 1 hour before to get confirmed seats. First class gets the best view front and rear.

There are cabs and auto services right outside the railway station of Coonoor which will take you for sightseeing and the price range is around ₹1500-₹2500 (prices may differ). We did not find any shared tour or bus tour.
