So sad that things are still the same all over our world today. What a sad day it was when we lost Jim and Maury (I was 7 years old). Still love them to this day. Thanks for this x
Wow ! A power song for our times . l do believe each of us need to figure out our own salvation, Our own path, we are living in precarious times. Be Strong Be Well Be Safe . Haha can't believe I forgot about this song ❤
This song is sure relevant today, as well as when it was written!!!! Jim Croce always told the truth in his music. Love this man 's music and that VOICE!!!!
since the 70's and to date jim was one of the main i listened to criss crossing australia driving semi trailers interstate (OTR) covered millions of k's in that time and for much of it he was in the passenger seat
What song. Did Jim and Maury do that wasn't good? There will never be any like them. Their music and lives Are always remembered as a special gift to us all.remembering. always is a great joy and privilege.
Jim Croce Is one of my favorite artist. My uncle got me Liking Jim when I was young , I would sit in my uncles room and play one of the best of Jim Croce albums over and over and over
"Let him live in freedom,if he lives like me." All these years later, through Korea,Vietnam,Afghanistan,Iraq,The Balkans,Syria and Libya,we have learn't absolutely nothing.
Still my favorite of his songs except maybe "Time in a Bottle", and one that everyone these days needs to listen to over and over until it sticks. But there are a couple of issues with your lyrics: "You walk the streets of righteousness But you refuse to understand." You left out the "of". "Every day Things are changing." You used "everyday", which doesn't mean the same thing. What he wrote says that the world is changing constantly. What you wrote says that only the everyday, mundane things in life are changing. That's a pretty significant distinction.
Kinda creepy - whenever I hear that song it's like Croce was standing there watching the fall of the Branch Davidian compound when it fell to the feds. "One hand on the Bible, and one hand on the gun" .. !
I'm an yesua yehovia YA RA side minister to ministers JARA for I know he well 7777th son last line of David last is first I am a world leader for I know who I am repent for the kingdom is at hand 🔯🤴🐢🐢🕊🕊🙌

Just as applicable today as it was back then..
"say you love a baby, then you crucify the man." More relevant today than ever.
amen

The only artist in the 1970s that my father and I both liked. My god, what a tragic loss.

50 years without Jim today, September 20, 2023. He is terribly missed.

I'd love to share this version. Sums up 2022 perfectly, However, this video gets one important word wrong in the printed lyrics... darn it...
Still relevant, important, and apropos.
A lovely old song

This is scary, this is happening right here, in our own country...in..our..own..country
My comment regarding Donald Trump's photo op. Thank you Jim Croce for being true to your words and your heart.

Not to be too hung up on grammar, but confusion rains, should be confusion reigns. Still thanks for sharing this song.
