Erase and format a USB flash drive on a Mac

When you delete items on a USB drive, they're moved to a '.Trashes' folder on that volume. Chip Wood shows how to free up space on a USB drive by deleting hidden trash files.

But but but MS-DOS FAT 32 cannot transfer/ read more than 4GB file sizes. So, for extra large video files, for example, you must split them up into 2 or more.
