When I look at the "Reaction" videos regarding John Farnham, I was amazed at how many there are. Many have been there for several years, but an amazing amount of them have appeared over the last 2 years. His fan club is now huge, because now many know how fantastic this man's voice is. He now needs our love, and we give it gladly. A beautiful voice as a teen-age pop star, to a powerhouse of "The Voice:. The journey was hard for him. I am so happy that so many people have found him.

This trailer makes me cry every time. He feels like family. There’s this intrinsic pride and love that comes over me that’s overwhelming. I’m so glad he found love, success and happiness. Thanks for watching this. It looks great doesn’t it!

The power of John’s legacy is in the fact I’ve seen the trailer like, 3 times and have cried every time. Especially moving is the tale of his lifelong musical relationship with Glenn Wheatley, his producer. What a visionary he was. Vale, Glenn xo

One was a hit for Three Dog Night, but in Australia it was John Farnham's version that was the hit in 1969. The song was written by Harry Nilsson.

I doubt it would come to cinemas in the US..but the good news is that they will release a DVD plus also a CD with the soundtracks from the movie.
For those of us who have followed John Farnham since the beginning....we know he has had an extraordinary career. He was discovered as a 16 year old in a band called Strings Unlimited. By 18 he has turned into the hottest teen idol in Australia. His first number 1 was 1967 novelty song Sadie which was the highest selling single of the whole 60's decade. He followed up with hits like One, Raindrops are falling on my Head, Underneath the Arches, Don't you Know it's Magic and Comic Converations which saw him hold Australia's King of Pop title for 5 years in a row.
But from the mid 70's to the the early 80's he was deemed to be too old fashioned to be cool due to bad decisions from his management of the time. John had always wanted to be more rock and roll but his management kept him doing caberet style shows, covers of other peoples hits, tv shows and musical theatre. When Glenn Wheatley came along and gave John the opportunity to explore his own creativity, is when we finally got to see the real Farnsey emerge. The Voice had always been there but he was finally able to sing the way he wanted to, and arrange music the way he wanted to and Glenn Wheatley backed him all the way. Even mortgaging his own home to raise the capital to produce the Whispering Jack album himself as no other record label would take it on. FOOLS
Whispering Jack became the highest ever selling Album in Australia. And since then John has never looked back and has gone from Strength to Strength ❤❤❤

My daughter will have my CD now. I love where she works but I want the DVD and there is no release date for it yet. It is good to see Olivia in this, his manager and friend Glenn Wheatley and Glenn’s wife Gaynor. I hope both families make money from this because they more than deserve it. Thank you for your reaction. I know this is John’s real story and it should be told. People did think his music was irrelevant. His old manager put him into stage musicals and Pantomimes for 10 years. It didn’t matter how many number one hits he had before that. No one would sign him in Australia or America. Imagine the world without this music or voice, we can’t. I want the world to know John and Celine is his number one fan along with Richard Marx and all of us. He is loved and he is family.

I remember during the 1970s John Farnham was massively popular as a young pop singer with many hits. Then for nearly 10 years he disappeared. Some thought he had died but he was gone from the music scene. Then in 1986 he re-appeared from a parallel universe and was a 'new face' to a younger generation who had never heard or seen him before. The rest is history.

"One is the loneliest number" was first released by Harry Nillson I think off of "Nillson Schmillson". John Farnham"s first single was from memory "Sadie the Cleaning Lady". It was released around 67 or 68 when he was about 18. As you can imagine it was Pop Candy and there are multiple vids on RUclips of him pperformingit over the years. Born in England he emigrated to Oz along with his family when he was a kid, and as they say "the rest is History".

I just read John's biography, called The Untold Story. Bloody brilliant. It starts with his parents marriage and covers his entire life & career up to current time where John is still recovering from his surgery. Can't wait to see the Doco at the cinemas. John is the G.O.A.T.
    Much love from 🇦🇺 💕

There are 2 unauthorised biographies. Both great reads ....one focusses n his time under Sambals management and his earlier career. The other one has more overall and focusses on more of the 80s onwards

@Carolyn H, The Untold Story is by Jane Gazzo and covers Daryl Sambell's management of John in the first half of the book, then Glenn Wheatley's management in the 2nd half. Very comprehensive.

Amazing talant what a struggle he had to make it in the music bizz and how he overcome people trying to hold him back and being the artist he wanted to be. Documentary is fantastic, makes you laugh makes you cry. An amazing man and amazing singer cancer free now after a year. Must watch the whole Documentary to appreciate just what went through to make it as a singer people would take seriously. Live in 🇬🇧 so had to wait and order dvd also brought it from SKY TV in 🇬🇧 when you could buy it so been watching it that way till dvd comes. Thank you so much for the reaction 🇬🇧Farnsy Fan.

One was massive hit in Australia for John Farnham then known as Johnny Farnham in July 1969 .
Originally released by American singer songwriter Harry Nilsson in 1968 then covered by American band 3 Dog Night released in America In April 1969 . Back those days American singles stayed in limbo for awhile for a latter Australian release , so many Australian singers use this loophole and recorded their own versions before the official Australian release making the Australian versions by the Australian artist more accessible and successful . Until American record companies realised what was happening in Australia and stopped it making release dates the mostly the same .

The actual sound track of this doumentry has some really old rubbish songs like Sadie, Rain Drops re Falling on my Head etc. The documentary would be okay If your going to buy one of his CD's his Greatest Hits (1996), Age of Reason or even Whispering Jack. DVD, 1989 John with the Melbourne Symphony Orchastra.
