And I was among the disbelievers until I saw him touring with quality people like Tommy Emmanuel and blowing the roofs off clubs and pubs all around Australia, reestablishing his street cred in the late 70's, early 80's. Then came Glenn Wheatley and his missus, who were willing to put their house on the line to record Whispering Jack. RIP Glenn - mission accomplished!
Can you imagine the discussion between Glenn and Gaynor before and after they sold their house? They believed in him and risked it all. What great friends they've been to John....just beautiful people. R.I.P Glenn.

I was one of the people who challenged you about your reaction to the film version of 'You're The Voice' and suggested the LIVE version. It's 'water under the bridge' now and Aussies were rapt that you continued on to get to know the wonderful talent of John Farnham and we thoroughly enjoyed that journey with you! We are ALL eagerly waiting for the release of the film in May. It will be an eye-opener for many people. Love you, John and keep on healing.
Over the last 2 years I have seen "Reaction" videos from so many fans, from around the world. His video's are now everywhere. Just a lad that had a wonderful voice from Australia. Now his voice has rocketed, and his wonderful showmanship is everywhere. We all are blessed by that fantastic voice.

Mike, we live and learn to appreciate things for the simple beauty for what they are as we grow older, you don’t need to apologise, you spoke honestly and called it as you saw it, then after listening too more from those artists you saw their talent and value that’s just how life is. I’m just so chuffed that John F. is getting the appreciation for his fantastic musical abilities from so many who never heard his fabulous voice before, this trailer is so deserved it should be great!

Don't feel *too terrible about it!* Back in the early 80's, my sister and I were talking to eachother while John Farnham was performing a song on Countdown. During the Tommy Emmanuel solo, John pointed at us and then at himself, as to indicate that the focus should be on him. He was smiling, but his eyes were penetrating! My sister and I felt sooooo terrible. We realised that we were being rude. We talked our way into meeting him, and we apologized to him. He told us us to not feel *too terrible about it.*
It’s going to be a great documentary. I’m an Aussie and grew up hearing him all my life. I never really appreciated his work until the last few months when I started watching his live stuff. Wow! I respect him so much more. Your in the US and would never have even heard of him before. Don’t be hard on yourself mate. You just discovered him for yourself on your journey. Hope this documentary opens many more people to just how incredible John is.

And another thing, you and I have been on parallel musical journeys. Over the past year, I too have been discovering John Farnham is much more than I gave him credit for, alongside you. I was stuck in his 'Johnny' Farnham rut, not impressed with Sadie, or One. I'm currently learning to sing properly, and am in awe now that I know more about it. Plus I love his commitment and passion. I'm worried about his health atm, not sounding very good, tbh. His family is saying only that he's 'ok'...

Hi Mike, I’m not sure if you had time to realise that the female Australian voice you heard at the very beginning was our dear, departed Olivia Newton-John. Her photo flashed up then disappeared, then she continued as a voiceover. She may have made those comments a while ago but I wonder if the organisers were able to arrange a special space for her statements while she was still well enough to do so. 😢

hey mikey some revelations about john or as he was in the day johnnie. he was not always the wholesome lad .................back in the dAY he tried to coerce my then gf backstage .............. we almost came to blows ...............that was the last time he tried that crap....................he is awesome , we all love him. now he has severe throat cancer , the very worst for a singer that has brought so much joy . its not funny that a guy with such a gift , will kill him in the end , as ned said , 'such is life.'
