What a wonderful image. Please post others like this in the coming months, humble request. I've seen wood spirits but this is so different and so thoughtful in appearance. I just got a flex shaft and am ready to practice, practice, practice. Have limb wood and it's great for carving, and I'd like to find driftwood, maybe over at Lake Michigan east of where I live. Do you sell your creations? What a wonderful carving site you have. Loren in central Wisconsin

First, I enjoyed the video. Second, I'm new to power carving, been subscribed to you and learning. A question: do you have a dust collection device, if so what, and how is it set up? I need something but it has to be quiet so I don't disturb neighbors. Thanks for your time

Hi.Its good to hear you starting its a good way to spend some time.Yes i have a dust collector. Don't try to do anything without dust collector. I made a thin box pegboard on top.On the bottom there is a hole where i can connect the hose. Thats it. Here is a link what i have.

Simple and pretty quiet. Running behind me just a couple of feet. The only thing i not using the bag i use a hose whats goes outside. Thank you.

Usually I have an idea in my head what I like to create and just start working on the wood and after I start seeing shapes but many times just turned into different subjects. Thank you 👋

Carvingandsuch, I understand if you want to stay somewhat private, but where do you find your driftwood, indirectly asking where you live. Are you now committed to the Foredom or do you vary? Any carving by knife and motorless tool? My limited insight to wood types, but I'm thinking if I carve in somewhat green wood, it'll crack unless I put mineral oil or something else on it. Carving with dried driftwood eliminates that problem, I'm guessing, because it's already dry and probably won't crack over a long time. Hope you don't mind the questions.

Loren Elkin Loren Elkin Hi I live in Florida i just go to the near by rivers like Myakka or Peace river and walk along where i able to. Unfortunately lots of area private. I did carved by knife too but somehow i like to do it with power tools. My recommendation is do not carve anything green. Your burrs got filled with it and that’s not fun to clean it every five minutes. I started with Dremel and i still using because the quick chuck and the slim design, but starting and shaping fast i use Foredom. Very powerful even with harder wood.

@@carvingandsuch Thank you. For now I only have green but will look for driftwood or even keep an eye on places where a dead tree is standing.
