- New Orleans (LA) EMS Department ambulances responding to a medical calls from and transporting Tulane. Unit 3232 from the show "Nightwatch" can be seen responding as well as a new NOEMS unit.
Those new Fords look like they mean business. Love the new look.
Two of the ambulances we're featured in the original Nightwatch TV series on A&E . Unit 3232 manned by Nick and Holly and unit 3216 manned in the last NOLA season by Landon and Brooke .

Awesome! Great that you've caught the new units responding! I wish that they were already there when I was in NOLA. Those new rigs are just badass, especially with that front bumper! Still loving the epic lights & sirens package and graphics!! :)
I was very excited to catch the new EMS units I only wish i caught more of those units! I hope to go to NOLA again soon
New York needs thoes bumpers on there rigs, people there are soooo stupid, nobody ever moves for fire/ems they even move for police and I here there's a new that says fire trucks and ambulances can push idiots off the roads because there to stupid to move out of the way.
I've always thought the NO EMS units were great looking, the new one looked even better! I'd love to go there someday.

Yeah those sirens, which I feel like I've only heard on NO EMS ambulanes, are very strange but also cool :)
It is the Whelen version of the simulated mech. siren
there’s a agency in New Jersey that has either the same sirens or something very similar to this. I have a video of it on my channel. look for it under NJMHC it should be a green and black ambulance.
There’s also a company (Acadian Ambulance) and some of their units have this siren and the same tones.
The first one was me I am a emt for new Orleans and that's my unit

those are speedtech
NOEMS trucks are fully Whelen. They don't have any Speedtechs on them i'm pretty sure.

Hey I was curious of what state your rapids ambulance was in? It saying 19-r9a sounds like a Illinois responce numbers, my counties is 5victer then a number like 5v13 and the county next to me is 5robert so our fire ems main rig would be 5R49.

Anyone know how many medic units NOEMS runs on a daily basis? Just curious. Can't find any info online.
It depends on the day. Most days we have 11 units up by 1400. It was more, but we are having some staffing issues right now. That is just ambulances. We have 4 to 5 sprint cars and a rescue truck as well. At night that drops to a max of 3 sprint cars, the rescue truck, and 7 ambulances by 0200.

Does every ambulances from N.O.E.M.S. use Whelen Qs? I'm just curious. I thought they're like V.C.F.R., or EVAC ambulances.
yes they all do except the new sprint units
The rescue truck uses a whelen siren, but it doesn't have a whelen mechanical tone like the ambulances.

Ehhh, I love the ambulances, but the Whelen Q is garbage. A EQ2B siren is way better.

Cant run Q2 sirens in the city of New Orleans. None of the Fire Trucks have them either. It would blow the windows out of the French Quarter buildings. JPFD, Kenner, Harrahan, 3rd district and the westbank departments all run them thou.

@@drewp.wiener6402 there is EQ1B but it Rarely made I did a Google Search never knew that Whelen Made that as well. I heard of the Screaming Eagle Siren thag the Torrence Fire Dept Used in California
