🔧 Upgrading a miGenie Wish 2 to A Wiser Smart Thermostat Kit 2 🔧| Wiser

In this video we’ll talk you through upgrading your miGenie Wish 2 to the advanced Wiser Smart Thermostat Kit 2! In this step-by-step guide, we'll show you how to seamlessly transition from the miGenie system to the innovative Wiser system for improved control over your heating.

If you're currently using the miGenie Wish 2 system, you'll be amazed by the enhancements that the Wiser Thermostat Kit 2 brings. This upgrade involves three main components: the Wiser Hub, a Wiser Smart Room Thermostat, and a set of batteries. Say goodbye to the old miGenie setup as we embrace the convenience of the new smart heating system from Wiser, now with Wi-Fi connectivity.
Before you begin, ensure your miGenie controller is the T724R model and that your Wiser kit is the Thermostat Kit 2. Verify on your miGenie controller screen that it controls both Central Heating and hot water, with central heating at the top and hot water below. If needed, our customer services team can help.
Now, let's get started:
1. Turn off the power to your heating system.
2. Confirm the miGenie controller is de-energized.
3. Remove batteries from the miGenie thermostat and disconnect the Gateway from your router. These won't be needed with the new Wiser setup.
The miGenie is now retired; it's time to welcome Wiser:
1. Gently release the miGenie controller from its backplate by loosening the two screws on the underside. The controller will lift off vertically.
2. The wiring on the backplate remains unchanged, allowing the Wiser Hub to seamlessly fit in place. Hook it at the top, push it at the bottom, and secure it with two screws.
3. Restore power to the system.
The remainder of the installation process is made easy with the Wiser Home app, available on both the App Store and Google Play. Follow the app's guidance to complete the setup effortlessly.

@@draytonhomehaving now successfully fitted Wiser 2, one small bit of feedback, the new unit out of the box has a wallplate on it which needs to be removed before slotting onto the existing Wish wallplate. Just a minor thing but it confused me for a moment when it wouldn’t fit as this step wasn’t mentioned. Many thanks though because this video made it much easier for a DIY fitter.
