I love Alucard's baritone voice.
Seriously, Alucard has the sexiest voice known to man.
Lord of Keks Precisely.
Fatih Meriç Özarslan His was the only voice I was sad to see go for the PSP remake.
@@caspianhorlick4529 I mean, I personally found Magnus in Castlevania: Nocturne of Recollection to be sexier. (And in that radio drama, Alucard is voiced by the same actor as Light Yagami.)
His voice actor is Robert Belgrade who was also the narrator and announcer for Tekken 5.
Funny thing is, is that if Dracula had found out what that Succubus did to Alucard, he'd have ripped her to pieces. So in many many ways, what Alucard did to her was a mercy. A very big mercy.
+Barricade He does rip her to shreds when you fight Dracula. He literally summons her just to kill her. XD
actually no, Alucard did much much worse, he let her to live and suffer in the dream world for all eternity, atleast dying would have set her free from that torment.
Yeah, I never entertained that thought but its true. Dracula would have eviscerated her. Death is the epitome of apathy so he would not care but Dracula would have really destroyed her so badly and in so much pain for using Lisa as a bargaining chip to her own ends.
,
I think to be wondering in the dream world for eternity may be worse than death
25:48 Alucard: "Welp... just killed the last of the belmont lineage. Guess these people are kinda fucked now, peace,"
*Cues feel-good smooth jazz music*
It's not the canon ending, but Richard could've already sired a child with Annette by the time this game occurs.
@@MetaMetro3 People always forget the Belmonts are a clan, not a single family lineage, just because we see only one Belmont in the games doesn't mean they are the only ones.
@@marcosgalvis3498but there’s a specific lineage within the clan that’s been kind of propped up as the main vampire hunters, starting with Trevor. Christopher is trevors direct descendant, Simon is Christopher’s great-great grandson, juste is simons grandson and richter is juste’s grandson. There’s a reason we rarely see the other belmonts, they’re probably not as strong
I love the dialogue. I never thought it was bad acting, I always thought it was iconic.
I like the Japanese dailoge more
Alucard agree that mankind are the one who can bring chaos even more than Dracula himself
The moral that Dracula said in the Japanese virson is far better and most of his quote about human greed and love for chaos is true
But the farewell from Dracula would give the him much needed personality in the Japanese virson
@@Puss_pog
Well, considering that the Entity named Chaos is basically fueled from the Evil within Humanity we can say that Dracula's constantly Returning is basically a result of the things they said about mankind, Dracula returns because of Humans, whether it is intentional or if they would be unaware
God damn Alucard has a deep, smooth voice.
It is obvious because he is being voiced by Robert Belgrade, who is a jazz singer and musician. He is also well known for being the narrator and announcer in Tekken 5.
***** Prepare to hear it again in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night
Ton Cruz
Oh my god, really? So much want!
***** I didn't know that. But I still prefer the narrator of Tekken 4.
+Winston Cruz Its just a cameo what he is going to do.... Bloodstained is not an official Castlevania game because is an independent game made by Inti Creates a developer company founded by the main developer of SOTN and Konami owns Alucard rights so he cant use it in his game sadly...
The "WHAT!?" when Alucard gets pick-pocketed by Death never fails to make me smile, it's hilarious
@woomyperson1285, does that also happen in the second English version of the game, as well as the Japanese version of the game? Also, what does Dracula say as he is transforming, and when he is also dying, in the Japanese version of the game?
@@paxhumana2015 For the first question, yes he does. Not sure about the second
@@paxhumana2015 he also says it if he gets cursed by a regular enemy
The four symbols that Maria uses to revive Richter if he dies in the opening battle are the 4 heavenly creatures of Chinese mythology: Turtle, White Tiger, Dragon and Phoenix. Not sure why a European girl in the 1700s would have mystical powers based on Chinese mythology but I guess that makes as much sense as Vampires and the rest of the stuff in these games.
Eggs is eggs ... Those are Byakko, Suzaku,Genbu,Seiryu...
Gotta love the compounded culture mythos. I think it's bad ass how cultures borrow things like that and re-interpret it
The same reason death wears pink: The game was made in Japan and that influenced its mysticism.
Same reason why there's Katanas named muramasa and masamune in a European castle.
I just call them Dragoon, Driger, Draciel, and Dranzer
"No! It cannot be!! AAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUGGGH!!!!"
"And that's how I easily destroyed Count Dracula once and for all."
"THAT'S BULLSHIT!!!"
Ah, that reference!
It is not true
Ah yes, a fellow fan of SomecallmeJohnny
As hokey as this voice acting is, I do love Belgrade's Alucard. The line "Demon, death is too good for you!" is legit badass.
22 people are miserable little piles of secrets.
+Richtet Belmont Now 34
KX5Kat now it’s 123
*HAVE AT THEM*
I love how the Librarian is the only genuinely cool dude in the castle. He just guards books.
And I also love how he refuses to help Alucard until he mentions that he'll pay him.
@@LemonnNote Based.
Poor Alucard. He's clearly suffering from severe, crippling social anxiety.
_King_Of_Idiots _ at least he now walks among us as Genya Arikado
Yes, you're correct in your assumption. I'm doing much better nowadays, though. And Patrick, that's supposed to be a secret! 😉
-Succubus: Darkling, I smell blood. You're a vampire... Could it be?
*Alucard glows blue (magic meter filled)*
-Succubus: oh, you're the son of lord dracula!
-Alucard: Did the blue glow really give it away?

So much cheesy goodness, I love it. God bless the 90's!
"your words are empty as your soul !
"Perhaps the same could be said of all playstation games."
Liz Negamoon Gurl I dunno who you are but I do dig your sazz!
Thanks so much.
Envy me
Am i the only one who feels a bit sorry for Dracula when he finds out what Lisa's last words were?
He probably thought that this would have been what she had wanted, so to find out that he had done the opposite must have broken his heart.
Plus he forgot all about that when he resurrected again.
* *keeps doing it anyway* *
Yea Alucard does have point when he says "But you must always renember. That the only way for evil to triumph, is for heroic and good men to do absolutely nothing."
I never understood that quote. Wouldn't good men fight for peace against evil?
@@eroupopper
And if they do nothing, they are bot good men, that's the quote i think, evil will triumph if we don't do anything about it.
Quoted by Edmund Burke originally.
The cutscene at 14:05 has me rolling when I see it.
Between the Castlevania III reference and the quips Maria and Alucard have here, I am laughing my ass off every time I see this moment.
the only thing necessary for to evil triumph is for a good men to do nothing...
Great game, I loved Alucard's voice.
Thank you
I remember Maria went after Alucard in the good ending that I used to play.
You need over 196% of map covered to get that.
Accel Rider X i had 195% xc or 193 idk
Alucard has always been my favorite castlevania protag. He reminds me of Solid Snake. Just there for the job while being the person to be hurt the most. And despite all his sacrifice and committing of patricide, he will still do it again just to save the world. He had a hard life. Also Alucard shield + Shield Rod is the strongest thing EVER.
richter to alucard... that was over 300 years ago!
that scene still gives me goosebumps and takes be back to 1999
Sad ending. I always wanted Maria and Alucard to end up together, even if it just showed her running after him at the end.
They did get together in the official drama CD sets after the SOTN event.
Xilo Channel welp......she did persuade Alucard to be with her, just work behind the scences
There’s multiple ending cutscenes based on what you do in the game and one she does run after him

Richter's voice actor(R.I.P) is the one who got me to this great game and I love it more because of him and his beautiful voice.. I miss him a lot (..wailing)
Wow! Dracula's really tall in comparison to any other media I've seen him portrayed in. Actually makes him a lot more intimidating
Dracula was unnaturally tall in bram stoker too.
in another ending Maria actually follows Alucard and somehow convinces him to stay, i've always wondered how Alucard's relationship with Maria turned out...
"What need for the shepherd when the wolves have all gone?" Killer quote right there, Richter
14:33 *tips fedora*
fridget 😂👏
Alucard is too genuinely classy to wear fedoras.
The Cryptkeeper from Tales from the Crypt was actually the Ferryman in his younger days.
+Alex Jaeger DUUUDE, i didn't even think of that before you said it. But i think it fits more the cartooned version of the cryptkeeper, rather than the "real" one.
I never had any issues with original dialogue and voice acting. From the day the game came out till today I think it’s iconic.
Awesome video!
It is only interresting to remember that Maria says different things depending on how much of the map you have explored. So maybe not ALL cutscenes. But enough to remember why I enjoyed this game so much.
IMO Robert Belgrade's Alucard voice beats Yuri Lowenthal's (the psp remake voice) by far. Sure, the original is hammy has hell, but Alucard is meant to sound ancient in comparison to rest of the cast. At least the rest of the psp voices are more believeable.
I could swear Richter sounds exactly like Chris Redfield from RE1 1996 xD
That's because it is him :)
Zalbag Beoulve No WONDER his voice acting is so cheesy!
Zalbag Beoulve What? really!?
"Wait I beg of you. "
*Proceeds to start moaning as the screen fades*
theese aren't all the cutscenes, you showed 2 endings out of 4
ending 1: kill richter before getting the holy glasses
ending 2: kill richter after getting the holy glasses
ending 3: kill dracula
ending 4: kill dracula with at least 198% of castle discovered
She said "Do not
hate humans. If you
cannot live with
them, then at least
do them no harm.
For their's is
already a hard lot."
She also said to
tell you that she
would love you for
all of eternity...
I think in many ways it could be said that Alucard is the central figure to the entire series. First of course there is Castlevania III being the first time he faced Dracula alongside Trevor. Alucard goes to sleep in order to seal his own power and bloodline away, however Richter got possessed and tipped the balance of power to the evil side, which awoke Alucard from his 300 year sleep.
Defeating Dracula once again in SotN, he pretended to return to “sleep”, when in reality he had disguised himself as Genya Arikado and watched over the world for the next 300 years preparing for the reincarnation of Dracula, helping Soma resist Dracula’s influence in Aria of Sorrow, and then finally in Dawn of Sorrow helping Soma again, this time to destroy the chaotic source of Dracula’s power and resurrection (presumably once and for all).
TL;DR: Alucard is a motherfucking badass.
But this story is the belmont's not Alucard
Lol at 35:50, Richter bows down to his master.
Nostalgic game and voices indeed.
I love this voice acting because it sounds so improvised
Well this game did win worst voice acting also with best soundtrack when it was released
@@mikevignola4213 good catch

I don't care what anyone says! This version is way better than the remake!
"Dracula, in the name of my mother, i will defeat you again"
Man! This brought me back. Of course I cheated with the Gameshark to beat the game. But dude, seriously how many smudges and scratches were on the bottom of the disc?? lol

"What do you here?"

Symphony of the Night is the best Castlevania game ever, including the OST made by Symphony X.
I have never completed a Castlevania. At least the 2D style ones. I always get lost and forgot how to came back or get either way ahead or way back.
I knows this. way back when this game first came out, I actually did manage to get the best ending.
thanks for watching.
this voice acting is way better than the remake...
Thanks for the cutscenes, but my god the player sucks.
decided to come back here to fill in the dialogue parts while playing the requiem version. I like all of CV but the voice change..its just not the same.
That strength, that
beauty...You're the

But someone must be

Whatever we do, we
can't harm Richter.
The OST is so epic
I was hoping we
would not see each
other again. I can't
allow you to leave

You missed the 3rd, best ending.
Also, many parts with dialogue in your video were choppily slowed down... Like frame rate drops.
That aside, nice compilation and the effort is appreciated.
I still love the Librarian's enthusiastic"He-he-he, thank you!". It's adorable!
CASTLEVANIA COMING ON NETFLIX...?!

this is one of the best playstation 1 games of all time. if you can find it, get final fantasy 7, 9 and grandia as well. it would be best to find the physical copies if you can, if not, then an emulator is fine.

Guys, I just realized that ALUCARD is DRACULA backwards... wow.. mind blowing...
Technically an anagram
14:23
It's been 300+ years and the first Belmont that comes to mind for Alucard is *still* Trevor. Richter is just "son of Belmont". It's not until Julius that there's another Belmont worth being on a first-name basis with.
You know that's actually not the good ending right? Well, technically it is, but there is a best ending as well. Get a certain percentage of the map completed and Maria will run after Alucard instead of letting him go.
