My daughter and I stumbled upon your channel a few weeks ago. Have been watching, but I subscribed today. My daughter and I watched your Michaels haul and laughed. She knits and crochets and worked at Michael’s for almost 3 years and would do the same thing. She’d wait for a good sale, coupled with her employee discount and would buy all that she needed…with absolutely no thought about leaving some for others. They get shipments in all the time, mark things clearance frequently…if people want the yarn, they can go get it. I grew up in Delaware and have done craft fairs for years (pre-c*vid) with my sewing here in the mid-west. Keep doing what you’re doing. Hope your hubby gets to come back soon. Don’t listen to the haters.

There is a lot of people that are jealous that they can't do what you are doing. They are the people that like to drag other down with them Misery loves company. I have been really fortunate my subscribers have been great but they is a few I have had to "call out". I have had to defend my RUclips friends many times and bad things have been happening lately. Its disheartening but the good out ways the bad for the most part. You doing this video is the best thing you could have done. It shows that you won't out up with it. Being an entrepreneur is hard, and buying in bulk is quite common to save some money. Yarn is so expensive and it takes a huge part of the cost of each plushies. Take care!
Ok. I’ve figured out what this is about. The first time I ever saw you was at that clearance with your sister and your niece. You all had so much fun. I loved it!!! I really am trying to understand what is wrong with people. I believe it’s just jealousy. Who are we leaving the clearance yarn for? If people are so concerned about low income people, then stop hating others, vote for politicians who care for the poor, who care about healthcare for all, who care about people who are less fortunate. I devoted a huge chunk of my career to helping the poor, but yarn??? Whenever there is a clearance sale on anything I get as much as I want. I bought a bunch of clearance yarn in January and made enough hats for all the residents at our local homeless shelter. I could have left the $3 yarn for someone who will charge $15 for it on eBay. Anyway, I am so sorry people spoiled your beautiful and funny time with your family. I’ll subscribe today and I pray you have a successful business and successful channel. Hey I'm the one that mentioned this was happening over on r/crochet. I hope you find atleast some (if not a lot) of solace in the fact most people came to your defense about the Original Poster omitting details to manipulate the perception regardless of them being viewers or not. That platform in particular is essentially designed for people to discuss the happenings on other platforms/the going ons in their respective communities (hobby or geographical) so the fact the conversation was happening over there isn't a negative about things being taken off of youtube.
That OP definitely just had a stick up their ass and portrayed the situation in a way they knew would rage bait others. I do hope you can give r/crochet a browse and see what a wonderful community it normally is. This has actually stricken up another conversation over there about such negativity being inappropriate and belonging in the dedicated spaces for gossiping about content creators like r/craftsnark.
I think it was also really awesome that it took awhile for you to be named directly in that thread as those that did know which video was being discussed didn't want to name you as they knew the narrative was misrepresented and didn't want others to hear that nonsense and associate it with your name.
Post the other Haul video, those people will be unhappy with their lives regardless if it exists or not.

I agree it did take a long time for me to be named and I agree it was because they left out important details and I was really really impressed with how many people came to my defense and those who wanted to come to their own conclusions and get more information. I just didn’t appreciate that OP definitely tried to deliberately use it as a specific narrative which was not the intention of the original video.
My husband actually is an avid Reddit user and saw the other thread too! I was impressed with that too. People are going to gossip I just felt that I wanted to address the negativity here and try to make sure everyone here blatantly knows I won’t tolerate it here.

You don't owe anyone any explanation. We live in a capitalist society, the store wants to sell the yarn, you want to buy the yarn...so you did. If people are upset, that is a problem between them and themselves. I don't know you personally, and I don't need to. You have always interacted positively with your audience. You got this! Welcome to the world of the judgmental holier than thou do no wrong hypocritical people that have nothing better to do. You take such a risk doing what you do when you do craft shows and even open a shop online especially like you said with the state of the economy right now. The reason behind RUclips I thought was supposed to bring people joy. You’re a creator who I hope loves what you do and continue to do what you do. I watch this video’s because doing something like craft shows and markets is something I would love to do, but sadly is something I just don’t see myself being able to do so I enjoy watching people do their crafts and things…keep doing what you do, and keep buying that yarn and buy all the damn skeins you need, if someone really wanted the yarn, they would’ve done the same. Yes, please keep playing with yarn!! And keep playing with your adorable pup Ruth!! My pup is a dachshund jack russel mix…love the jacks❤❤.
I myself have done the same thing during Hobby Lobby's cleance sales. We have 3 in my area and I have hit all 3. I do a lot of charity crochet for my area. I am trying to help other people. I don't care if people make remarks about how much yarn I'm buying. They are not the people I am trying to please or help. If I don't hit good sales and make the most of it, I cannot help the people who need it the most. I was so happy for you getting all the yarn that you did. Keep doing you. ❤
I crochet for charity too, and hit up 2 Hobby Lobby this year.
I DO have a new rule this year though - I need to have a plan of some kind for everything I buy, rather than just buying it bc it's on clearance.

Some people don’t know anything about running a business. These same people complaining about how much you spent/how many you bought are the same group that would say, “you bought it on sale, so you should charge less for the things you make with those ones.”…then, complain when their business fails or doesn’t make as much as yours. 🙄

It boggles my mind that people gets so upset over a stranger buying yarn. Its sad that people are jealous or miserable in their own lives they have to attack others online.

And plus? The big clearance and holiday sales hauls make absolute sense. You literally post all the time about how you're making 27 of this, but you also just finished 19 of that, and you need to start on at least 12 of those other things tomorrow. That's a metric ton of yarn we see you using! All the time! Of course you need to replace it! You used a ton; you gotta buy a ton.

I recently found your channel and frankly I love it. I have been crocheting for a long time....for several years now I have been doing amigurumi and was losing my "crojo" but since finding your channel my "crojo" is back!! Just found your channel this week and have been slowly binging your videos - very entertaining and informative. I'm sorry you're getting the negativity that you have been, it's not right - I can only assume it's coming from very jealous individuals. Keep doing you, there's an audience who appreciates it (and I guarantee we outnumber the negative nellies).
Take a page from the BOD videos show less of a yarn wall behind you, cause for some reason it gets people all worked up about you hording yarn 😆 And yes, they probably don't watch you regularly and so don't know you use that up at quite a fast pace. If they don't crochet, they can't know how many balls a blanket or wearable takes!
ok not gonna lie. i enjoyed your channel before. I understand words hurt but the way you’re responding to them definitely has rubbed me the wrong way. My person life and opinions aside, making a video to explain and hopefully clear things up and the first big comment comes with an extremely angry “well. you try being a military wife” doesn’t create an open, understandable, and constructive environment

Anyone who knows anything about crafting as a business knows you have to grab sales when you can in order to make a small profit. I saw your video and totally understand stocking up on supplies! And like you said, no one else was there buying. Wishing you health and happiness and happy crafting :)
I see no need for people to attack you when you are doing what they them selves are probably doing but with different products! We are crafters! We do what we need to do to keep ourselves afloat and with things the way they are ya we pinch where we need to pinch. I say $@#& them! If you find comments like that to hard to handle maybe just disable that ability for alittle while gather yourself back up to being you and when you feel ready turn it back on. My wife and I recently stumbled across your channel. We have enjoyed watching your videos! We work at a Children's Home in SC. We perfectly understand having to purchase our craft supplies on a VERY fixed budget. We have recently discussed trying to go to market and try and sell some stuff. So we have been watching a ton of videos to get ideas.

I am so sorry people were nasty to you in the comments. I not only watch crochet artists go to market, but I also watch artists go to conventions and work the artist allies. I personally worked for a convention for 8 years and I know how hard it is to get in to something like that. The forms get filled out super quick and the waitlists are long. We are human, so eventually you will run into an event where someone cheated the system or the organizer messed up. It is upsetting, especially when you rely on markets for income. As for your yarn hauls, people forget we live in a free market. We can consume as little or as much as we want. You run a business. It makes absolute sense to buy when yarn is on sale. I am a crocheted myself. I am shocked how many nasty people are out there who are trolls. So, I’m new to your channel and just went back to see what the comments were on your haul video. You know what?? Most of those whiny, nasty haters obviously had NO IDEA that you run a business (if they did, they would clearly see that yes, you had a use for ALL that yarn). And to call you selfish is ridiculous. For a small business crafter, sourcing raw materials is a real challenge. Buying wholesale usually means you need a storefront or need to hit huge minimum order limits - so instead we stalk clearance sales, post holiday sales, liquidation retailers, etc. You have to shop clearance because it’s the only way to turn a profit. I know. I’ve been in one craft business or another for over 40 years. Somebody will always be around to criticize or judge you. Just turn your back on them and move on. Those people aren’t worthy of your attention, believe me. And thanks to you I pulled out my crochet hooks and am making a blanket for my soon-to-arrive great grandson. Of course the yarn I picked was a discontinued color…😂😂😂 (and yes, I’ve both liked and subscribed!). ❤

It irks me to no end when people gripe about others buying in bulk. No difference to buying it from an internet store. The store wants to get rid of the stock so they lower the price. If they didn't want it all to go to a few people then they had every right to limit the amount per person.
I'm not going to cry if I go to a store and they're out of what I want. I'll just be quicker next time. I've seen clearance items sit and sit for months and not sell. Should I have waited 2 months to see if anyone bought them? Stop judging those who need supplies and rightfully buy it. She's making children happy with her creations.
I am 8to the fingering yarn so I can either make socks or shawls. I love my craft just like you. I find my yarn in places as inexpensive aside from can. You need an outlet for this. I believe that if I this is the thing that puts a smile on your face and love in your heart then this is the right thing to do. These others are ones who seem to want to find the worst and want to make you feel like them. You have the power to block these if you need someone to give you permission to do this I say go for it!!!!! This is a great hobby and this kind of abuse is wrong and needs to be silenced now, go for it girl keep dong what makes you happy and puts food on the table!!!!!!❤️❤️

OK, I’m the quiet one that watches every video without a peep, but when i see this, i will always speak up because I’ve experienced this before. Those that hate either are extremely jealous or are only there to make themselves “look better.” Sweetie, keep doing what you’re doing. Take down the darn yarn wall and re do it. Film that clearance haul video…. There will always be the haters, but you’ll find with a storm comes your true followers and “friends.” Those that support you, those that are truly there for you and your “vision.” I know it’s easier said than done, because us softies take things to heart words way to easily…., but DON’T LET THEM BRING YOU DOWN! As an ex milso I completely understand what you're going through. As a crochet business owner that does markets and always shopping sales to keep my business alive I know what you're going through. I can't believe or imagine the things that people have said about you after watching a few minutes of a video. I watch your videos while I market prep and I completely understand the "I can't even put up my tent alone" statement because same bestie lol. im lucky to go to events that are mostly indoors and with amazing people who will help you out if they see you struggling. times are hard and the fact that people are hating on you when you chose to share tips and tricks with us is sickening. NO one deserves that kind of treatment. those of us who follow you and support you will never require an explanation video. please keep making content. please keep sharing market videos, crochet with men, stash busters, etc. Just continue to be yourself and I think I speak for the majority that those of us who love to hang out with you do it because we feel like you're our friend and being at home crocheting is lonely and I have adhd and need a body double lol. you got this girl and keep your head up!!!!
