Hey I'm hoping that you can help with this. You have had both the dayton audio ultimax and the reference series. From your perspective what is the differences between the two? Which you prefer and why?
Whoa your voice has changed over the years I can hear. For some reason your Channel disappeared and I found it now 4 years later and it's not until now I watched your recent vids. Great build!
Dude I literally just recommended the Ultimax 10“ to someone looking for a car-sub „if they‘re willing to build the box themselves“ and then I see this video holy shit
Awesome video. I've built several subs. Most are musical and produce tight bass. Thinking of using the Ultimax in my truck. I have a 1.25 cuft. box vented. How do u like the sub overall?
Ok so I am a complete noob when it comes to building sound systems and hooking them up. If I were to buy this woofer and build an enclosure like yours what else would I need to hook it up in my car what amp would I need do I need any resistors or stuff like that as said I have no clue about speakers but do like to hear some good loud bass
Ello mate, right so basically I’m a REALLY big fan let me just say that really quick but I really wanna know....you know your old 4 dual 18” subs yeah I really wanna know what make and model they were cause I’m thinking of getting some
Rear shelf subwoofer works better, more bass inside the car, less space occupied in the boot, did that to my e60 perfectly happy, try pioneer slim subs, love u r videos, love the diy and sound speakers.keep up the good work...cheers
@@happybeing777 I don't mean it will literally make the dayton an spl sub, it will just have a bit more output, by a couple DB. Unless you have 2 pairs of 8" mid bass, you don't want it tuned real low.
Car don't have volume, for car no need bass port, because for bass port box need more volume. For car ideal acoustic design only one! Only Passive radiator! Use perfect bass woofer Monacor SPH-300CTC (Fs 18 hz, SPL 92 db, Qts 0.19) use one big square shape 39 sm * 39 sm passive radiator (tuned 12 hz) in back panel. Passive radiator better! 👍 Need only very fast subwoofer..
@@ow_will The Monacor is rated at 150W on two coils, so a total of 300W rms. But due to its sensitivity of 92db compared to the Ultimax at 84.8db, the Monacor would play much louder on its 300W than the Ultimax at 500W rms rated. The Ultimax being 112.6db and the Monacor being 120.6db (away from walls, not considering room gain)
Come back bro!!! 9 months waiting for more! I could have had a kid by now lol

When I get my first car, which will be a 2008 or 2011 BMW 1 series, I’m putting a JBL sub in it and a Pioneer Radio and maybe JBL door speakers.
Been a while since i have watched this channel, the ultimax reminded me of this channel from another video i randomly viewed.
I want to use the same roller, any useful links ?
I think i'll do about the same build for my car
What's the amp that you're using ?
What amplifier did you use for your diy white speakers
Can you testung the logitech z5500 ist my Favorit subwoofer i have it in my room
Thats shit.

I may look into doing this in the future!
Fire through the ski pass if you've got the ability to
Where did you go
sounds a lot better in a sealed box imo. ive built 2 ported boxes for it 1.55cuft@23hz and 1.8@25hz with roughly 10-12sqin of port area per cuft.
Car or home? 33hz is the sweet spot for most cars. You still get good extension because of the cabin gain, but you get a little bit more spl.
@@theejoeylee Ive used them in both home and car. really couldnt care less about spl though im more into sq

Daniel Woodland He always has these long breaks he'll be back in a few months maybe less
@@maincharacter2677 it’s been 8months now
Ever think about building diy and selling them ?
notif squad!
for the flickering of the go pro you can go to the parameters - region and there you can change between 50 and 60hz depending on where you live
I have tried that, it flickers regardless unfortunately !
The clamps won't damage anything if you add a piece of Wood underneath the big metal clamp
when are you gonna post more ?
We need vids :(
Looks neat
This guy!!!!
@doublsmm have you ever used a Allen and heath sound desk??
Woooo you should see my new speaker build

Rated only 150w though so not much volume compared to these being rated 700w
And with ports you can tune them and is better than radiators
@@ow_will The Monacor is rated at 150W on two coils, so a total of 300W rms.
