Until and unless we have good people occupying important positions in India - NOTHING will change. And that change begins with YOU.
    1. Become part of the political process, or take an active interest in learning about the Politics, Economics, and History of this country. There's absolutely no pride in being apolitical.
    2. Please choose your Role Models wisely in Life. It is sad that modern-day India has casually replaced scientists and makers of modern India with reel creators.
Standards of society are dictated by who the members of society admire. Please think twice before you casually replace your legends so casually.
I hope - some of you will hopefully start thinking beyond party or religion-based politics and will fight for good economics.
We are working with many future MLAs/IAS/IFS/IPS/ Policy Consultants/Management Consultants
and preparing them to occupy important positions in this country.
If you'd like to be part of my mission - please reach out, and share it with others.
This country has enormous potential, and we should make it our duty to work towards it.

I am a retired banker, chanced upon your channel. Much of what you say resonated with me. As a banker, especially in districts, I have had to work with government officers in implementing government schemes. The tales of corruption I have heard from my customers were shocking. Some of them said: We don't want the subsidy from the government because much of it goes back as bribe to the corrupt government officials. They urged me to finance them under the bank's own lending programs, without the subsidy.
Sadly, my experience is that there is very little the common man can do to make civil servants ("uncivil masters" actually) accountable. You say there are ways to do make them accountable. Please record a video with the steps a citizen can take to make these civil servants accountable. It would be a great service to all of us.

Two years ago at my hometown gym, a police officer used to come in regularly. One day, a boy from the gym played an English song on a speaker. The officer reacted angrily, asking the boy why he was playing an English song and if he was Christian. He then forced the boy to change the song. Our gym trainer then told us the boy was lucky to just be scolded by a police officer. This incident exemplifies the mentality of some people in power who abuse their authority, and the submissive attitude that can exist within society.

I think IAS/IPS should go through psychological tests, as thier character are very important for the job. In defence I have seen after clearing Written Exam aspirant usually go to SSB where their character is judged for the service. It should be done for civil services too, so that real leaders can be given powers not morally corrupted ones.

Not just IAS/IPS or politicians, even judges of so many courts. A lady constable penalized a judge's car for obstructing a road and she was transferred. A district judge in my city used to throw his garbage in open. When other people confronted him, he threatened to take action against them.
Problem is that as soon as a judge is accused or caught doing such thing, courts order a gag order to the media to 'preserve the dignity' of the court.
Imho that dignity is already lost when a judge behaves like that. It is further damaged when judiciary stops any reporting on it.

Nothing would have happened in Punjab or Haryana.
Read about the case of Ruchi Girhotra in 1990s
Ruchi was sexually assaulted by an IPS, her under age brother was beaten up and tortured.
She committed suicide because of constant harrasment and nothing happened to the IPS officer.
His family was protected by all the Political Parties.
One more case from Haryana is Geetika Sharma, she was assaulted similarly by a Politician and her family members also committed suicide.
There are many other cases from Punjab, Haryana etc ...

It is more like a test where you learn to lie better, and not to forget, the interview is the conversation between the two liars. Not sure about whether I should indulge in this or not?

In Chhattisgarh also , new direct IAS officers for some reason are very Rude. They don't even think twice before swearing Infront of staff members who are of the age of their own father , (disrespecting mothers and sisters by saying such words in meeting as reprimand). UPSC & LBSNAA really needs to rethink who they are choosing. Because eventually common people suffer. Barring a handful of good officers they are no more messiahs of common folks but rather power hungry, brash & corrupt people willing to fill their own pockets and massage their own egos in their echo chambers.

There are two ruling classes in India-
    1 - Politicians
    2 - Civil "servants"
Both enjoy absolute power and are absolutely corrupted as well. This is why everyone wants to become one of them. This colonial system can be only eradicated by a complete rehauling of the overall system, which will NEVER happen because they go hand in hand. You will never see a civil "servant" misbehaving with a politician of the sitting government. So, either learn to bear this oppressive system or leave the country for your own good.

I have had my experiences and it taught me a lot on how the real world works.. In India you can do nothing if you don't have any political relations or if you are not in a privileged society.. The first place a common man can expect justice is a police station and the second is court of law. But it is a shame in India these two are designed in a way that you will start to think you better die of agony than to reach them.

See other countries how tough their psychological testing is for civil servants. Around 50% of our civil servants will fail other countries standards. judging by their behavior from videos. We don't do anything close to that level. We need to check that they have good education history and extracurricular history from 10th standard class itself. This will show consistency in performance for long periods. Also, we need more intensive psychometric and situational testing to evaluate emotional intelligence. Just one rote learning UPSC exam and interview is not enough to determine people's moral behavior. I know few people selected for UPSC who never demonstrated ethics, morality, emotional intelligence in their personal lives but they have who have lots of free time and money to waste preparing for exam and interview.

I totally support ! His presence is a question mark on Government and UPSC. They are public servants but they are above laws with all the might to beat and scold fellow citizens!
