  • A week ago, we gave you a brief behind-the-scenes look at what race day looks like from a streaming standpoint. I piggyback that and discuss some of the issues streaming/PPV companies have when broadcasting from a facility.

Excellent analysis. All the high tech equipment needed is not affordable or available to every track. I surprised that so many small tracks even bother to stream their races. Lincoln Speedway cut back on their weekly shows because they believed that too many fans would stay home and watch. They are partly right, but other factors such as the high costs of everything are also to blame. Watching racing on TV doesn't do it justice. Being there is the only way to get a real feel of the action! PA fans are real fortunate to have so many tracks running in their state.

I think Flo does a terrific job with streaming. The quality of the production is outstanding given the conditions they sometimes have to work in.

I cannot imagine the logistics required to put on a streaming or even tape delayed broadcast. We have gotten spoiled and expect perfection on all levels, sometimes it's just not attainable. Thanks for taking the time to show behind the scenes and problems you have to overcome, maybe we will be a little more understanding and patient in the future.

Compared to the days of speed sport news and other racing publications. We are living the dream now and I never complain. Even highlights are better than what we used to have.

I am extremely happy about Sprint Car streaming services. How many races I can watch in a year or even in one day is unbelievable! On a Saturday night, I may watch up to five features from coast to coast. I can watch the PA Posse, USAC, IRA, WoO, and NARC. I get to see the likes of Dylan Cisney, Carson Garrett, Jake Blackhurst, Landon Crawley, and Guage Garcia. Drivers like these rarely would get any coverage before streaming came along. I get to see drivers from all over while sitting in Michigan. I believe the most races I ever went to in a single season were probably around 20-25. Consisting mostly of Indiana and Ohio. Thank you Jeremy

I remember back in the day I had to read who won in the news paper 3 days later😅

Thanks for sharing some of the pitfalls of streaming. I had no idea what is involved.

Thank you. You provide a great service, Because of SCU (Flo& Dirtvision) I am able to watch all of the races when I live 1200 miles away. Then there is the military personnel stationed out of commuting distance that are now able to keep up with races and racing news. The physically handicapped and the older fans are also challenged not only with their disabilities but with weather, and a host of individual challenges. We all need to realize the world has changed or evolved. This is our future. I am just grateful I can continue to follow my lifelong passion.

Saw Flo's little modular at Port last year and thought that is one tight space to run the broadcast out of....It is like working out of a closet

I watch quite a lot of live streamed racing and I try to inform the streaming service if there is a problem, absolutely not complaining just trying to be helpful

I feel your, and anyone else in the PPV business, pain. As for me, I simply do not have the patience to endure the digital technology "elements at play". It simply is not worth the frustrations to me.

In a related topic I'm not sure I understand the debate that streaming is attracting new fans. The only reason to subscribe to FLO, DirtVision, or SCU is because you are already a fan and you know about the central Pa tracks. Nobody from Indiana is going to come to Williams Grove on a regular basis. Am I missing something?
