Btw, the reason that there are so many Freddies, is pretty explanatory. Freddy is the main guy, he's in the name of the franchise! And to answer your other question, about Molten Freddy. He looks like that because he put himself back together with scrap and then eventually gets on fire.
I like Fruit Punch Clown. He threatens to cut your throat.
No clue why Mr. Cupcake (the one from FNAF 1) has a gender, while the others don't lol.
By the way! The different outfits for the animatronics, are from a game called Special Delivery which is a phone game that's free, so they charge you money to buy skins for the animatronics you capture. (Kinda like Pokémon GO, but also not.)
Also, you might be wondering what the "Fazbear Fanverse" is. The animatronics in that are from fangames that Scott helped create, by giving them money or tools to do so!

Alright here goes, you asked for this…
1. Foxy IS a Pirate
2. Chica is a chicken
3. JJ is basically just girl Balloon Boy, not clear what their relationship is
4. Fredbear and Spring Bonnie are the og animatronics they were made before everyone else. Some kid got his head shoved into Fredbear’s mouth as a “prank” and died, so Fredbear was retired and replaced by Freddy.
5. The Nightmare animatronics are all a figment of a kids imagination while he’s in the hospital dying from being bitten by Fredbear.
6. Mr. Hippo is a joke character, he just tells really long, boring stories and the kids hate him. So he’s referenced a lot as a lame character that Fazbear Ent. continues to use for some reason.
7. The Mimic is a bit strange, he’s only had an explanation in the books so far since he’s very new to the games, he’s very old, older than all the Glamrock animatronics. In the books, an inventor made him as a gift for his son (he made the Mimic much smaller) but The Mimic gained sentience and built himself up to be that monstrosity.
8. Ennard is Circus Baby, Funtime Freddy, Ballora and Funtime Foxy all stitched together as one animatronic so that they can skin a person and wear them as a disguise so that they can blend in with humans. (It doesn’t work out that well surprisingly)
9. Molten Freddy is Ennard after Baby got kicked out for being too bossy and Funtime Freddy took over.
10. Tangle is the Classic, Toy and Funtime animatronics all mixed together as a giant revenge fueled monster. People think he’s dumb but I love him
11. Lemonade clown threatens to slit your throat if you tell anyone about him, not answering anything just a fun fact.
12. El Chip is a beaver, his name is a reference to Scott Cawthon’s old game Chipper and son’s lumber co. a game about beavers running a lumber company.
13. The animatronics from Shamrock Freddy to Moldy Cupcake are all non canon skins for an AR mobile game, they don’t have any impact on the story but are referenced on arcade machines in the main games.
14. The Fanverse animatronics are all from fangames that Scott Cawthon liked and decided to fund along with making them part of the FNaF series as spinoffs, they aren’t canon to the main games though.

So if you want i can explain to you what the deal is with most of the animaltronics and why there are so many freddys.
But i would have to go a bit deeper in the characters history for that and i dont know if you want to get too spoilered. But if you dont then i can at least explain to you the animaltronics design and what they do in game.

Fnaf 1:
1.Chica: yes she is supposed to be a chicken and is female. She also has the cupcake in her Hand and comes always from the right side of the security room to attack you.
2. Bonnie: He is a rabbit who plays guitar and always attacks from the left side of the security room.
3. Foxy: so yes He is a fox and is in most Instances a Pirate only with a few exeptions. Compared to the other animaltronics He atacks different.
You have to constantly look at him at the camera to see if He is still on his own stage. If He is gone close the left door to stop him.
4.Freddy: So He is a bear and the Singer of the Band. Compared to the others He has two jumpscare animations.
Important side note: all of them exept endo 01 are possessed by dead children killed in the pizzarea which is why they are so aggressive.
5. Endo 01: its basically the endo Skeleton of the animaltronics of fnaf 1.
I will talk about golden freddy later.
6. Phone guy: He introsuces you to your New Job and nightshift and also dies.
7. Mike schmidt: is the nightguards name. Which is the character you play in this game.

Toy animaltronics are basically the replacments of the original animaltronics and were created with special high advanced Scanners to make Sure to detect predetors.
Also one of them caused the bite of 87 were a day Shift guard was bitten by one of them.
Toy freddy: he is a chubby bear who likes to play videogames and has a goofy voice.
Toy bonnie: is the guitar Player of the Band and crawls to the wents.
If He appears put the freddy mask on.
Toy chica: for some reason she was Designed to be hot and also crawls threw the wents.
Mangle: scott confirmed that her gender is yes. Also she is a female foxy who was a side attraction to entertain kids. These kids however constantly broke her appart which after a while the workers stopped repairing her. She also does not have a voice.
Endo 02: He is basically the endo Skeleton of the toy animaltronics.
Phone guy is also in this game.
Jeremy is the name of the nightguard in this game.
Baloon boy: He has child like voice lines and tries to steal the Batteries of Your Flash light away.
Puppet: she is a security puppet Designed to protect and take care of the childrin.
Reason for her existence is because of the missing childrin incidence.
So that she does not kill you Wind up the music Box.
Most importantly she is possesed by a child named Charlotte emily which was also killed by the same guy who killed the 5 missing children. And she is the one who protects them.
JJ: She is basically a female Version of baloon boy and is an easter egg in fnaf 2.
However in ucn if she makes it into your office she can Block the yousage of the doors for a short amount of time.
Now lets talk about the withereds who are just the original animaltroniks but broken and destroyed.
Withered freddy: he can be fooled by the freddy mask for some reason?
Withered bonnie: he has only one arm and has no face. He makes face puns and can be fooled by the freddy mask.
Withered chika: she has no Arms and a broken face. She Talks like she is an old Tax machine. She also can crawl threw wents in ucn but can get stuck im them.
Witherd foxy: He can not be fooled by the mask and instead has to be blinded with the Flash Light.
Now for the last two.
Shadow freddy and bonnie: no one knows what they really are. They have a low chance of appearing in this game. However what we do know thanks to fnaf ar is that they are made out of dark remnant.
Remnant basically gives the animaltronics live.
@@ComfyASMRChannel Alright so fnaf 3 is going to be the easiest and fastest one to explain.
Phone dude: he is basically Phone guy but speaks in a chill guy way.
The Phantoms: they are what it says Phantoms. They are hallucinations that cant kill you.
There purpose is to distract you so that springtrap can kill you.
Some can be avoided by just looking away.
The night guard: yeah the night guard in this game has no Name.
But we do know that he has to be both of the other night guards from fnaf 1 and fnaf 2. The reason why is because only he Sees the Phantoms. Which means He had to have worked in the other locations as Well. He also burns this fnaf location down to destroy springtrap.
Springtrap: now for the last caracter. He is possesed by the guy who killed all the children. His Name is william Afton.
He was one of two Business partners who worked for the fazbear entertainment company and created a location with two animaltronics. He has three kids of which 2 of them died.
Because of this he started to kill children. But to hide theire bodys away, he put them into the animaltronics. After a while He noticed that they were possessed and became obsessed with bringing his childrin back to live.
So He went back and destroyed one of the animaltronics each night. However by doing this he freet the spirits, which are now hunting him.
So He decided to get into the animaltronic springlock suit that he killed them with to scare them away.
However springlock suits are Not very save. Basically any small wrong speaking or water can make the springlocks go back to theire original posission.
So when william stepped inside they crushed him from the inside while He died a long and very painfull death. He was also sealed in that room away for 30 years until he was found by workers from the New location. He also has two younice jumpscares and you can See his dead body still inside.
To lure him away you need to youse the child Sound Button to keep him away from your office.
