I think when someone says dont judge me in the beginning of the video, dont judge them. Secondly, she did a good job. If her stove was only midly dirty, no body would pay attention. When you clean a stove that greasy, that is a serious feet. I am impressed. Sometimes it is not your fault. You may move into an appartment that has a dirty stove to begin with. Dont judge people like that especially when they are trying to help you clean your stove and tell you what really works.
sadu622 right on. I do not touch my daughter cook for me at her home. How can possible my stove is dirty, dust when I rarely cook. That the reason that I am in this website. Very good job 👏 I am going to share with my daughter.👍
I love how dirty your stove was to start. Who wants to watch someone clean an almost-clean stove? What would be the point. Thanks for showing us real life. And providing nice tips - I'm going to try the oil on the range hood and the baking soda.
THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS!! Our stove was the same way because of work hours, I used your method last weekend, and the stove top Looks New Now!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!
I don't understand why the manufacturers don't make a cooktop design that is easier to clean. When ever I clean my gas cook top, the igniters get pushed down into the cook top or they remain clicking and the burner doesn't light. My cooktop is waaaay dirtier than yours. The baby is cute!
She let it get dirty for the video or else we couldn't see the difference! Ha! Some of you are just plain mean!! It really is easy to be mean behind a computer/ blah!
I know this is an old video, but for someone new... If you let the vinegar and paste mixture sit on the surface for about 20-30 minutes then it would wipe right off and no extra scrubbing or other mixture would have been needed. Vinegar and baking soda is all you need. Make it runny enough so it doesn't dry out in the waiting time. Just FYI.
Just did it!!! It worked!! Thank God! As having my first house and with gas stove (always had electric stove growing up) no one told me to get covers. Would get too busy to even wipe it down after cleaning. But now I have time... so, I'm good!! Thank you!! Now I will😅
The easiest way to clean the caps and burner grates is to put them in a large ziploc bag or trash bag and then a small amount of ammonia in the bag. Seal it and leave it overnight (I leave the bag outside) and the fumes will make it to where everything will come off with a quick wipe down and no scrubbing needed at all.
lifehacker.com/5880914/clean-stove-burners-and-grates-effortlessly-with-ammonia Here is a good way to do it! After you get done with this method, you do want to rinse them really well, then wash with soap and water like you would your dishes. Then dry them off with a towel.
Very helpful. Thank you! I Love the vegetable oil tip. I tried it on the piece above my microwave. It's not really a hood but a plastic strip. It worked brilliantly. I Couldn't believe it. So clever. I even used the oil on the cabinets over the top of the microwave as they were greasy too. And it cleaned them up great. My stove top isn't too bad but I will try the tips. And I have a couple of hardened areas. I saw on another Video that hardened areas can be scraped with a sharp razor blade. The blade Has to be new and sharp so it won't scratch. A Dull blade will scratch. So I'm going to try that too. I have to get my home clean to sell. I will get the surface stuff done but still may pay someone to do the whole house. Some things though are embarrassing and I don't want anyone to see. Before people judge like they have on this video. Some people have health issues and find it hard to keep up with everything. That is my case. I live with chronic pain, some joint mobility issues and fatigue and it's hard to keep up with everything and keep everything super sparkling clean. I do my best and I do clean but some things get neglected.
I mean, I totally relate. We have a six burner gas stove that is absolutely filthy but the metal part is dark grey so it's less noticeable. Thank you for this! I will try that out as a surprise for mom. 😊
Thank you for the video. No one is perfect. I appreciate that you actually had a dirty stove to show what works, not pretending to clean a clean stovetop. God bless.
What did you use for cleaning under the stove top, like where the pilot light is? That's an area I really have to tackle, but am afraid to do so, for fear of starting a fire because of the wires, pilot light, etc.
I put a layer of comet on the dirty areas than spritz a little water on it. Let it set for 30 minutes and then go back and scrub. I never thought about the oil to get the grunge off the vent a hood. That's a good tip. I wonder if adding oil would just loosen the stove dirt. Just don't accidentally turn the burners on. I'll try that next time. Thank you
I didn't have veggie oil so I used my euculyptus oil spray....OMG my kitchen has never been this clean!!! and it smelt soo so good!!! I t hink the whole oil removes oil thing is amaze!!!! its like the oil cleansing theory....dunno why I didn't think of it earlier!!! thank YOU
You're welcome!! That is such a good idea! I may have to try euculyptus oil spray next time around! i wouldn't mind my kitchen smelling good! :) hehe. So so glad I can help you! xo
Mine came out amazingly well! Like, for real! Only thing is, I threw my wire scrubber away. If I had that, it'll look brand new. I'm on my out the door to get one to finish now.
thank you so much for this video!!! So glad to see a stove top that actually needed cleaning unlike alot of videos you see. Some people have such a busy life especially with kids they can't spend all day everyday cleaning! Thank you so much for this video! trying it now!
+Chasity Shull you're welcome! I am glad my mess of a stove can help you to clean your stove. I'm sure my stove is terrible compared to others, but life happens. 😊 Good luck on cleaning yours! It can't be much worse than mine😅
+Chasity Shull oh no! I'm sorry! It does take some hard scrubbing.... Also, if you want to try soaking the baking soda paste in on the stove overnight that might work better for you. I hope you find a solution that will work for you. 😊
You can pull those knobs off to clean around them. Just turn to the off position then lift straight up. Toss them in the soapy water with the other parts.
I wish mine was as easy to clean as that... We moved into an apartment that has a really old gas stove, and it was not really maintained or cleaned... I just took of years of black goop at the bottom, but the burners are covered with metal plates that were so burnt and ruined that there's nothing to do. Still, the video helped for the other parts of the stove. Thanks!
I just used your method. Thanks. it worked great. I did use glass cleaner a few times after I was done cleaning, to remove the last traces of baking soda, which were making the surface look dull and streaky. (I probably used too much baking soda.) Now my stove is too pretty to use!
+Elizabeth Lucas so glad it worked for you! Glad I can share this. Now all you have to do is spot clean and keep up with a clean stove after every use and shouldn't have to scrub too much...or that is the hope anyway! 😊
Good stuff. Vinegar and baking soda are both good cleaning agents. Some people think they are supposed to mix the vinegar and baking soda together to make a cleaning compound. But vinegar is an acid and baking soda is a base. When combined, they neutralize each other. The mixture produces water + carbon dioxide + a salt compound: NaHCO3 + HC2H3O2 → NaC2H3O2 + H2O + CO2. Best not to mix them until you want to neutralize the baking soda.
Thank you so very much. The last video wanted me to use bad chemicals. This looks like it works faster. Plus it is safe. That hood cleaning trick with the vegetable oil. That is so cool. Leaving the oil behind. It leaves the surface in a state that nothing can stick to it. Great job keeping it safe. Thank you so much again.
I've heard that ammonia for the cast iron... thingy... (sorry brain fart) the thing you soaked in the warm soapy water, helps with the tough grease. I have the same issue and it's been a real thorn on my side when I clean it with those SOS wire thingy... (geez, I need a drink).. My other issue is the underside of the vent, back splash and the cabinets that is spotted with brown grease... A real pain!
thank you for watching! I hope it works for you! :) & I haven't even consider using it on jewelry! What kind of jewelry can it be used on? Like silver, gold, etc?
This would be so useful for my dad's stove!! He seems to cook meat a lot and leaves grease behind, which is hard to get out with just soap and water! Thank you so much for sharing and will use this in the future! :)
+SeeKaysee It really is easy to let it get out of hand! Never again though....too much to clean lol :) Good luck cleaning yours! I'm sure yours is not as close to being as dirty as mine :)
My stove has the paint/varnish chipped away by the previous tenants unfortunately. But that's ok, it looks alright. But it was super fun to watch you clean yours. I'm such a weirdo. Hahaha!
I love this. First I want to say I love the way you edit. Second I am in dire need of a clean stove at the moment so I'm definitely going to use this Tip❤️👌🏼 I subscribed! you had me a clean stove LOL
+Unique Daily thank you!! I am still figuring out the editing lol. I'm glad you love it! thank you so much for subscribing! :) & definitely try it out and let me know how it goes. ;)
I like the idea of using more natural alternatives to clean than harsh chemicals. I found a pretty cool product on Amazon that has changed the way I clean my stove. Its pretty cool check it out. Its called Stoven and its done a great job of making eat easier for my stove to stay clean! Happy Holiday Cooking Everyone!
I accidentally got baking soda in the burner element. I’m having trouble getting the burner to light any tips will be helpful on how to get the baking soda off safely!
*Wow! Thanks so much Kang for making this informative video. I was so overwhelmed and didn't know what do with my stove! I'm headed to the store now. *
Thanks for the tips, btw great video. Wow your stove was way cleaner than mine. Yesss my was nasty, don't have a maid to clean it. Now mine looks clean. Ty
great video nothing is more satisfying than having a clean kitchen just a tip as well sos pads are a bit easier to use to get the tough stains out!thanks for sharing
Thank you so much for this video. I also need to clean my stove because it gets easily grime on and hard to take out from regular cleaning. Would love more videos like this.
Do the products like sponges and toothbrush leave any scratches? I’ve tried steel wool and that left scratches and for tough stains using a wet rag does not suffice. TYI ☺️
This is on my to do list for this weekend :(. May I ask if you also had to clean the oven. I'm debating whether I have to purchase oven cleaner or can I use the same products as on the stovetop. Thanks for posting it turned out great!
New subscriber here! I was just looking for some tips for stove cleaning and stumbled across your video. Your channel name immediately piqued my interest. I am in awe of God’s grace! It’s important to be aware of and and appreciate His grace even in the small, mundane, ordinary moments of day to day living. Praise Him in the big moments and the small, seek Him through it all! Thank you for the cleaning tips, I am looking forward to browsing your content. God bless you in Jesus’ name!!
Hi, thank you so much for using products we already have at home instead of going out to buy! This helped me so much! I appreciate it! Question, why cooking oil on the top oven stove thing? How does that exactly clean it? Could I use vinegar instead? Thanks again ☺️
You are so welcome! The cooking oil removes all the dust from there, and also keeps them off longer.. You can definitely use vinegar instead if you wish. The dust may just be a little harder to get off at first. :)
+Czarina Schutt (InsideOutbyZ) gas stoves are the toughest to clean in my opinion!! I dreaded doing mine, but afterwards it feels so good to know you did it! I'm glad I can help! Let me know how it turns out! :)
@allthingsbykang Thank you for sharing this video! I moved into my apt and my stove wasn't in such bad shape like yours. However, I definitely understand why it took a back seat. I rarely use the back burners of my stove & for some reason they have this caked on grease? I don't know if it's that but they are black. I want to deep clean them but not sure if I should remove the caps or just leave them and clean with the baking soda/water solution you gave. Questions: How DO you remove the caps? Did you unplug your stove and disconnect the gas supply to it? Any help would be appreciated. also, ignore the hateful/rude comments. People just have nothing better to do with their time & if that's the case then maybe they should clean your stove lol God bless!!
+Jessica Espinosa it sounds like it is caked on grease, but it could sometimes be that it is scratched as well? The caked on grease is the toughest to clean I think. I remove the caps usually but not the rings that the caps go on. The caps I scrub with soap and water and the rings I try to keep it dry and clean with a dry toothbrush if baking soda happens to get on it. I hope that makes some sense? Let me know if you have any note questions & thank you for being understanding and supportive! :) God bless you too 😊❤
SOS pads work great and much quicker than this on the stove top as long as you don't scrub areas where the brand name or design of the stove is painted on, otherwise it will remove that paint. I was actually looking for a video of how to get off scorching stains that appear on the back of a gas stove or the back splash. Tried this, it didn't work. The SOS pads made it lighter but didn't get rid of it. Anyone know?
Love this video! theres a totally grate cleaner thats non-toxic (sort of like the green cleaners) that is orange oil based and cuts grease amazing!! AND they work without you even having to scrub the stove top or scratch any brushed steel appliances. i forget the name now but they sell it at home depot! I think its called orange clean or something. ; )
This was so helpful. Thank you so much for making this video. Girl my stove is so dirty and I really need to clean it as well. hahaa... My sister bought me baking soda and for her and we had no idea how to use it so its still sitting in my cuboard. Will definitely try this.. omg and the ending where yoi used oil for the tip, so useful. i gotta try that too. thanks a bunch for this helpful video. 😉
+Chia Moua so glad I can help you out! :) you should definitely try this method out! Definitely lots of scrubbing, but totally worth it! It's not toxic and works amazing! Baking soda is definitely a great cleaning product! Definitely try the oil trick too! :) Thank you so much for watching!
+Live Intentionally me too!! I finally just told myself I had to do it! Lol! You should definitely try it out! It takes some scrubbing, but it works! :)

This is so true!
I agree....sometimes you want to see how real it can get. :)
Natasha Reader clean with vegetable oil I only use olive oil. Some advices please.😢
You havent seen my cooker!!! jesus christ please god send me a woman to help me clean
I think olive oil should work as well. 😊
THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS!! Our stove was the same way because of work hours, I used your method last weekend, and the stove top Looks New Now!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!

I liked that she did it on a dirty stove, so that I could see how well the cleaning methods actually worked👍

Yeah I just agree
When mine does it, I set the gas on and hand light it then let it burn for a few minutes

This is how I do mine every time. No matter how dirty they get the stuff comes off super easy.
Indeed it was super dirty but no need to be ashamed shit happen but you got to it and its now all super clean...Good Job..
+Evelyn Orellana thank you!
Very helpful. Thank you!

The baby is so precious cuteness overload 😭
I mean, I totally relate. We have a six burner gas stove that is absolutely filthy but the metal part is dark grey so it's less noticeable. Thank you for this! I will try that out as a surprise for mom. 😊
This is awesome! I love how you kept it real. Everyone has been there one time or another. I HATE cleaning the stove. Thanks for sharing!
Gas stoves are a pain indeed! I no longer have a gas stove and am in a way quite relieved! :)
Girrrrrrrl that stove was a mess but you did an excellent job in cleaning. Love your baby singing at the end. God bless.😁
Thanks for the tip on how to clean your hood with vegetable oil. I'll definitely try it...anf you did a great job cleaning such dirty stove. 👌👍

So glad you made this video! My stove has been like this and literally nothing seems to take the junk off. Totally trying this now!
I hope it works for you! It takes some scrubbing and patience, but it worked great for me! 😊
No worries we all have busy lives and some of us just don't have the time. No judgement here. Thank you for this I am doing my stove now
thats how i clean my induction stove top too....but the veggie oil thing is genius!!! ♡ so clean...love that clean kitchen feeling ♡
+Katie Pecotich yay! It is the best method I think :) & yes, that veggie oil trick is amazing!!!! Definitely try it out! Thanks for watching Katie! :)
:) hehe. So so glad I can help you! xo
Looks good but not completely clean. See the black dots around the burners. How do I get rid of those?
Mine came out amazingly well! Like, for real! Only thing is, I threw my wire scrubber away. If I had that, it'll look brand new. I'm on my out the door to get one to finish now.
thank you so much for this video!!! So glad to see a stove top that actually needed cleaning unlike alot of videos you see. Some people have such a busy life especially with kids they can't spend all day everyday cleaning! Thank you so much for this video! trying it now!

AllthingsbyKang unfortunately this did not work for mine :/
+Chasity Shull oh no! I'm sorry! It does take some hard scrubbing.... Also, if you want to try soaking the baking soda paste in on the stove overnight that might work better for you. I hope you find a solution that will work for you. 😊
you can also use hydrogen peroxide instead of water to make the paste and it you won't have to scrub as much
+Estefany Barraza thank you! I will definitely try that! :) less scrubbing sounds awesome! ;)
Used hydrogen peroxide and the tough grease came really nicely.
Glad you are doing more home and baby/mommy videos!
+Lindsey At Home yay! So glad you are liking my content so far! :)
You can pull those knobs off to clean around them. Just turn to the off position then lift straight up. Toss them in the soapy water with the other parts.
♥️ 🙏. Thank you so much for this video!!!
❓What degreaser do you use for greasy grimy kitchen cabinets?❓⁉️❓
I wish mine was as easy to clean as that... We moved into an apartment that has a really old gas stove, and it was not really maintained or cleaned... I just took of years of black goop at the bottom, but the burners are covered with metal plates that were so burnt and ruined that there's nothing to do. Thank you for the vid. The clip of your baby singing Jesus loves me was precious.
You did a great job! And love your hair!
+Laura B thank you!
Thanks for the video. love the tiny hands that helped you out
Great info Kang, i've never watched your videos before, i will definitely do this.
Sweet little girl at the end, and loving Jesus! Thanks for sharing!
Anything that doesn't take enamel/paint off makes me happy. Thanks for this video!
Woah! I did not know the oil on the hood range trick. So cool!
I love this song on all the videos 🥰
I've heard that ammonia for the cast iron... thingy... (sorry brain fart) the thing you soaked in the warm soapy water, helps with the tough grease. I have the same issue and it's been a real thorn on my side when I clean it with those SOS wire thingy... (geez, I need a drink)..

+Stacie Cute you're welcome! Definitely try this or next time! It is a life saver :) thanks for watching! xo
Don't feel bad mine is just as bad. I'm going to try your method today.. I hope.
I hope it worked for you! Lots of scrubbing, but worth it in the end. ❤️😊
It's really easy to let a gas stove get out of hand, I completely understand!! I'm probably going to be deep cleaning mine this weekend.
+SeeKaysee It really is easy to let it get out of hand! Never again though....too much to clean lol :) Good luck cleaning yours! I'm sure yours is not as close to being as dirty as mine :)

great video nothing is more satisfying than having a clean kitchen just a tip as well sos pads are a bit easier to use to get the tough stains out!thanks for sharing
+FaithNfashion yes, I agree! So satisfying to have a clean kitchen! :) & what are sos pads? Thanks for watching!
they are like sponges except its like the rough side all around easier to scrub with
+FaithNfashion oh okay! Thank you! I will have to keep that in mind next time I clean :)
Thank you so much for this video. I also need to clean my stove because it gets easily grime on and hard to take out from regular cleaning. Would love more videos like this.
+The Precious Years you're welcome!! I am glad I can help! I definitely plan on doing more cleaning videos like this for sure! :)
what type of vinegar are u using? please advise, how do u remove the sticky grease that accumulates in the broil section?
Do the products like sponges and toothbrush leave any scratches? I’ve tried steel wool and that left scratches and for tough stains using a wet rag does not suffice. TYI ☺️
Steel wool does leave scratches sometime unfortunately... the toothbrush and sponges do not leave any scratches at all!
I need to do this to my stove and I don’t want to. Maybe if I video it I will be motivated. Thanks for the inspiration!
Great video you cleaned a real stove used like us normal people do. I'll be trying out.
Wow, this is so great!!! I love seeing things get clean :D Thanks for the inspiration!!
+Jessica from Ahjummacated yay! Glad you enjoyed this! :)
This is on my to do list for this weekend :(. May I ask if you also had to clean the oven. I'm debating whether I have to purchase oven cleaner or can I use the same products as on the stovetop. Thanks for posting it turned out great!

So glad I can be of help! 😊 Have a great week!
I tried this and it worked. Thank you so much for sharing.
Amazing how is clean! but to be honest do you leave them drity until like this lol. or just keep drity to make a vdo?
When we moved in the stove was already pretty dirty unfortunately😔😔😔
Ah this is great I'm deff trying this ASAP!! Thank you!!!🙌🏼
+Ashley Sorensen yes! Definitely try it out and let me know how you like it! :)
She did a great job
Wow! You did an amazing job.
Thank you!
yes omg! i have a gas stove in my apparent and ive never had one before and its hard to clean it ! this is sooooo much help lol !! thank you!!!!
+Czarina Schutt (InsideOutbyZ) gas stoves are the toughest to clean in my opinion!! I dreaded doing mine, but afterwards it feels so good to know you did it! I'm glad I can help! Let me know how it turns out! :)
I wish I knew these tricks in my last place, great tips!
+Katie Bookser I wish you did! This was about the only thing that really worked for me! :) Thanks for watching!
baking soda neutralizes vinegar and it just ends up as water i think. I would use the vinegar first and then the baking soda.
Great tutorial ... 👍🏾 you cleaned that grime up like a pro!
Worked!!! Thanks!!!! ❤❤❤❤
Will this clean up the hardened black bits on the enamel hob
Try dish soap, citric acid and any bleach cleaner. Mix and add vinegar until foamy . Use this solution and scrub using toothbrush. Works great!!! Xxx
Some vinegar & blue Dawn added to that & boom! Quick clean up!
This is the best tutorial since the hob's condition is worst among all tutorials I found, which is similar to my case. LOL
Yes, Jesus loves you. Love the ending.
:) God bless you too 😊❤
Thank you so much for your help. I'm going to try this method. And the baby is sooooo cute! God bless you
You did an awesome job! I love cleaning 👌👍
+CocosChristina Thank you, Christina! :) I feel just so refreshed after cleaning! :)
I know the feeling!
I think its called orange clean or something. ; )
