Thanks for all the kind comments, much appreciated. I will get back to each of you at a later date, heading back into another tent adventure in 40 minutes time. Cheers everyone and thanks for following along on this hunting adventure series, more hunts to come.
Good calling. Nice to see that Bill got his moose. I didn't know if we were going to see the outside of the tent. Heavy rain. Glad it all worked out for the two of you.
Yes, heavy rains, big winds and dense fog had us pinned in the tent for far too long. But it's better to be patient then to call in moose and have them come in a smell you, get wise to you when you don't have the visibility to see them in the fog. Add to that poor Bill's sciatic nerve had him pinned down for the first four days of the hunt. I was getting nervous that to many cards were stacked against him on this hunt. But we managed to pull a rabbit out of the hat and I couldn't be happier for him.
@@NLGhostWolf slow starting but it's just starting to cool off down on the soleof the boot here now. We only got 20 set out behind the house for the kids to check yet, once it cools off I'll head up towards monkstown and put out my usual 75-100 line for a week or so and have them for the year. I see you had great success with your clients this year 👏 Congratulations Are you wrapped up for the season guiding?
As always cuz a great video. Brings me back to my 2012 hunt with Dad and my Father-in-law, I shot a 50” bull here in NB at 15 yards. For what you fellas were having to deal with between the weather and Bill’s back issue what a gentleman he was with such optimism and positive attitude towards the situation. Of course you have a tremendous passion and it shows you played the hand your were dealt with utmost professionalism and poise. Well done pal. I only hope to share in some kind of similar experience next week on my tag here on our 5 day season. Congrats to both of you!
Good calling and great hunt Charlie and Bill Here in the Yukon we can not be transported nor transport meat by helicopter for the purpose of hunting, you are lucky that you have the opportunity
LOL, you got to love the chopper for getting the meat out of the country, if I had to carry it I couldn't guide any more.... I've carried far to many moose in my days out of the woods... For miles at a time... Hard on the old gear...
What the heck is with sitting in rain, it’s miserable but it’s my favourite time to hunt either sitting or still hunting, makes bush nice and quite. As long as yiu have a dry place to go back to, and dry clothes at night. Love moose hunting.

Charlie do you always keep your food in your ten You never have a problem with bears🎉🎉👍👍
Only had one bear come sniff the tent this year so far, but I drove him off and we never seen him again.
Good calling and great hunt Charlie and Bill
Here in the Yukon we can not be transported nor transport meat by helicopter for the purpose of hunting, you are lucky that you have the opportunity
At my age and with my old injuries, it's the only way I can guide now-a-days...
👍
Awesome, not only did you call that bull nearly into your pockets, but ya also called in a chopper!😂
👍👍
LOL, you got to love the chopper for getting the meat out of the country, if I had to carry it I couldn't guide any more.... I've carried far to many moose in my days out of the woods... For miles at a time... Hard on the old gear...
😆
Well done chuck
thanks John
Where did that year go? Time flies!
Don't blink
What the heck is with sitting in rain, it’s miserable but it’s my favourite time to hunt either sitting or still hunting, makes bush nice and quite. As long as yiu have a dry place to go back to, and dry clothes at night. Love moose hunting.
right on
Good job in a tough situation
thanks
He thought the Nordic aliens were in the bushes, lol
Bill's a great guy I was there when you get off the helicopter the poor man could hardly walk
Yes he was in hard shape for sure. But he always had a positive attitude, even with all that rain and wind and not being able to walk 150 yards...
How much did that moose measure?
never measured it, 40" + or - 2" I'm guessing
You seem like a really good dude. I love your channel. Ever hunted in Yukon? Consider this an invitation.
was always a dream for me and my dad.
nice
thanks
I have a sciatic issue also be glad you have a helicopter coming in there to pick that wrapped up meat up instead of backpack it out
yes, it's the only way to hunt when you have injuries, sure saves on the back
Put on rain gear get out of the tent and hunt. Moose don't care if it's raining and blowing.
I take it you're not a moose hunter....
