i think what Patrick didn't understand is that this Butler cafe is a very different concept from a Maid cafe. While males expect something cute, crazy, funny or moe in made cafes, the girls, I think, dream about being treated and respected as a princess, or a young lady, and being surrounded by classy, shiny props. You can see how normally crazy Yuu gets in a totally different mood, more 'noble?' mood. That rings in girls' hearts, I think.Well, we have our dreams so let girls have their dreams :)
@TheHelloBatty No, reservation is available 15 days before visiting, but most of them'd be taken by 0:10 am (Japan time) if you're not fast enough. So, you'll have to have practised clicking and have your email address copied to your clipboard before Japan time 0:00 am! PS: Slots in the morning are usually taken faster as the popular butlers work in the morning. I know this cuz I've been there twice! XP
Well shit, they're too nice. I feel like I'd have to go to a place with mediocre service afterwards to sort of balance out how amazing the service here was.
Shame not more people know about the show. Learned a ton of stuff. Yuu is great addition, infromative or not. Wonder if Patrick knows something about veteran voice actors. Awesome episode.
She is acutally cute in real life. I was fortunate enough to meet here when she came to the states at a local anime con of mine and she speaks really good English. She had a translator with her, but for the most part she didn't need him per say.
Same reason why there is a western furniture and stuff. Those Japanese girls want to experience something like being a noble young lady at a, let's say, English mansion, or Austrian pallace? Something like that.
*O* Butlers....*sparkling eyes* OK, adding "Visit Swallowtail" to my "First things to do when I'll go to Japan" list! (yes, women like that kind of stuff...obviously XDXD) Thank you very much for the episode, you're both awesome as always!
Thanks for this! Always wondered what the experience would be like. I was actually slated to go on 3/12 but then there was the earthquake. I actually just visited a cosplay-themed butler cafe called Royal Servant a few days ago that's also in Ikebukuro. Anyone who's interested in butler cafes should check it out! :) It's not as formal as Swallowtail and it's definitely a lot of fun.
伊織さん若い!!

Quick question! How long in advance would you have to reserve to eat there and what is the price range for a meal?
From now on, if anyone is to ever ask me what the meaning of Ojousama is. Yuu Asakawa will be my answer.

So my guess is the dude is not supones to be there, given the butlers reactions.

We need something like this here in America. I want some bishy butler to call me Ojousama and serve me elegant food.

lol too formal! My middle class brain would fry in a place like that :P Though I would like to go to a maid cafe at least once in my life.
I'm sorry, but the guy looks so out of place 😂 That was kind of funny tho 😂
